The Reds will be playing in November... They are going to shock the world.Game 1... Volquez has some nasty stuff, but there will be nerves for sure. I see him going 5 innings and surrendering 1 run. From there it should be a mix of Chapman, Masset, Rhodes, and Cordero. I think the combo gives up 2 runs over the last 4 innings. Halladay has to be pumped for this game, but I think he is going to run into trouble in the 7th and end up surrendering 3 runs. The Reds will do what they have done so often in the regular season and find a way to put a 4th run on the board and Cordero will come in and make everyone in Cincinnati nervous by walking the first batter in the 9th, but then settle down to save game 1 for the Reds. A huge victory for the Reds.Game 2... Oswalt has owned the Reds over the years and Bronson Arroyo despite being the ace of this staff is starting game 2 for a reason. I think the Phillies even up this series at 1-1 after homering their way to victory against Arroyo early and often. Phillies take this one 7-2.Game 3... Cincinnati fans will be ready for this game. First playoff game at home since 1995. Cueto has been pretty good throughout 2010, but Hamels has been almost unhittable lately. Hamels is also strong against Cincinnati with a 4-0 record since 2007. You have to give this one to the Phillies right? I think not. Somewhere deep in Hamel's mind are the 2009 bad outings in the divisional series and world series. The Reds will come out hitting early, surprise Hamels, and Cueto will pitch well enough to get it to the bullpen with a 2 run lead. They do their job and the Reds have a chance to win the series on Sunday against Roy Halladay.Game 4... Rematch of game 1. I can't see Halladay being responsible for two losses in this postseason, but I don't see him picking up the win in this game either. He'll end up with a no decision after going 8 strong innings and only giving up two runs. Edinson Volquez is going to pitch one of the best games of his career in this game, but still he'll surrender a couple runs. He'll exit in inning 7 and Chapman will once again come in and shut the Phillies down in inning 8. So what will Baker do with score tied at 2-2 and in a non save situation? Do you leave Chapman in there for the 9th, bring in Cordero, or go with someone else? Baker stays with the Cuban and he doesn't disappoint. He blows away Howard with a 105 MPH fast ball. Werth steps up and connects with one, but hits it foul. He later grounds out to Cabrera for two outs. Ibanez also makes contact, but it is an innocent ground ball to Votto who steps on the bag and brings it to the bottom of the 9th. With one out and the no one on base, Drew Stubbs steps to the plate and does the unthinkable... knocks the Phillies out of the playoffs with a shot in the bleachers and sends the Reds into the NLCS against Baker's former team, the Giants.Reds 3-1 in the NLDS.
