I am obviously pretty sad to see Nnamdi leave. I really thought Al would sign him if the contract was more in line with other CBs, which it is. Sad to see such a great player leave in his prime, especially when money was not the issue. Charles Woodson redux.

Is it possible Raiders offered him comparable but he wanted to go to franchise with its act together? I have no idea but why stay with the Raiders after what he's seen? I've been a diehard for 35 yrs and would have no animosity with him taking less to go to a winner. If Raiders were smart they'd have let Routt walk & WAY overpay Aso or let both walk & bring in Joseph and been better off than they are with just Routt.

Just shows where Raiders are from a management standpoint that they are over the cap while contenders like Phi & NYJ are able to make room.

I dont agree with everything you say but as for the Raiders making a comparible offer, its more than possible, it was rumored months ago the Raiders made an offer very close to what the Eagles did before they ever signed Routt. Nnamdi obviously wanted to go to an immediate contender which is why he turned down the Texans who offered more money in a state that doesnt tax income. Oakland could still have made room for Nnamdi evven after signing Routt, that wasnt the issue though. Nnamdi wanted to stay in California but he wants a ring even more. The choice was always his to make. He feels the Eagles are his best chance to get a ring so he's an Eagle, not a Raider, Jet, Texan, Cowboy, or any of the other 27 teams.
