NO MORE EXCUSES 4 THESE GUYS! (1 Viewer)

There are several players who need to answer the bell and start producing. Guys like McFadden, Floyd, McCoy, and Sanchez, all entered this season with something to prove, and each has stepped up their game, at least to some degree.

Here is a list of suspects whom I believe it is about time for them to get in gear......NO MORE EXCUSES!

1. Beanie Wells - Simply has to overtake the pedestrian Hightower within the next few weeks. Far more talented, it's time for Beanie to display the goods on a regular basis and ascend to RB1 status. It's there for the taking.

2. Knowshon Moreno - Drafted to be the centerpiece of his team's offense, he simply has to start delivering. Gaining a rep as injury-prone and constantly banged up, this guy simply hasn't shown legitimate star RB ability......for which his (NFL) draft status would imply.....and demand.

3. Shonn Greene - Seemingly a slow starter (needs more carries to get going?), Greene has yet to respond to his wake-up call (benching in Gm 1 after laying the ball on the turf a couple of times). Still being outplayed by high-mileage, 30-year old Tomlinson, this young player should be ashamed of himself. The Jets have all the ingredients in place for a RB to enjoy great success, yet Greene is not taking advantage of the situation.

4. Alex Smith - Talk about a buzzkill. Smith is destroying not only his value, but he is severely hampering his more heralded teammates' value and production as well. With a new OC in charge, there will be no one else to blame going forward.

5. Michael Crabtree - (Currently) Linked to Smith for the most part, it is still somewhat alarming that I'm not seeing the ability to separate consistently nor produce any big plays from Mr. C. Going forward, I don't want to see 4-42, 5-54, and 6-60 stat lines, let's see some 6-105 and 7-120 type of performances here. Seems a bit too nonchalant/cavalier with his attitude on the field and in interviews......Were we given an introductory glance into this (prima donna attitude) prior to last season?

6. Pierre Thomas - Stay on the field. If you don't, expect some competition to arrive in 2011.

7. Derek Anderson/Carson Palmer/David Garrard - Each has been given at least a pretty decent car to drive, yet these 'drivers' are keeping the engines stuck in neutral. If things continue to stagnate much longer, expect some changes to occur on their respective teams, either with personnel or coaching.

8. Calvin Johnson - Time to dominate on a consistent basis. Yes, I know there are double-teams and rolled coverages coming your way, but sometimes you just have to go "beast-mode" and TAKE IT! As Peterson's RBs Coach sat him down for a stern and candid film session, it's about time for the Lions' staff to do likewise with Calvin......put on a few clips of Andre1500 and "Godzilla" aka Brandon Marshall for Calvin to enjoy......and learn!

Sure, there could be a number of other guys to make this list, so if you want to add yours, go for it!......NO MORE EXCUSES!

D'Angelo Williams AND Stewart

If you can't pass, leave 8 in the box to block their 8 in the box and run the ball please!

Just never understood the Calvin Johnson love. He is not a Top-5 WR, which is where he was going in most drafts and mocks. Serves you guys right for taking him so high and having him fall short of your unrealistic expectations.

The worst was in Game 2. First & goal inside the 5, and neither one of them were in the game! Gave two carries to Goodson, tried to pass once. Stewart got the carry on 4th down and was stuffed. Carolina has two of the most talented backs in the league, and in the red zone neither of them were in the game! I hate coaches who out-think themselves.

Calvin Johnson is an amazing talent...absolutely top 5 WR as far as talent/athletic ability. If he had been drafted on the Saints, he would be the best WR in FF hands-down. He should be top 5 and I think he will get there. On the flip side of that, Andre Johnson was on a bad team when he started and he still put up good numbers. CJ seems to be waiting for the team's improved play to make him better whereas AJ's play made his team better.

I wouldve liked to see what he oculd do with a healthy Stafford but I didnt predict Stafford getting hurt in the 1st game of the year.

Jones-Drew needs to be on this list.I don't think there's been a bigger bust in fantasy than him.

You've got to shape up, shady, and start doing a better job of predicting those game one injuries.

(MJD) Not really a fit for this list as he is a proven commodity who's struggling a bit so far. The list is more about guys who are either unproven yet hyped to the hilt or guys who have been at least pretty good and are going downhill quickly. MJD has been too studly to really complain too much about for his slow start thus far this year.ETA: Says the guy who avoided going after him (draft or trade) in all leagues this year.

Numbers through 3 seasons:Andre- 45 games, 2806 yards, 12 TDsCalvin- 45 games, 3071 yards, 21 TDsAndre was incredibly disappointing to start his career. He didn't finish in the top 20 until his 4th year, when he had an 18th place finish. He didn't become a stud until year 5.
