No more Hi-C Orange at McDonald's (1 Viewer)

I can't believe they got rid of the L'il Mac...or whatever the hell they were calling the little Big Mac.  That thing was perfect; both in cost and its ability to curb a hunger.

This sucks.  When I was a boy, my grandfather used to take me to McDonald's and he would always get me the orange drink.  I loved that stuff.  Even after all of these years, I would get the orange drink I it made me think back to those times with him.  I am actually surprised it lasted this long but visiting McDonald's won't be the same for me and, to be honest, a lot of time I only went there because I wanted to have the orange drink.

McDonald's orange drink goes back to the days when the McDonald brothers ran a hot dog and orange juice stand. They put that stand on a truck and moved it to San Bernadino and turned it into a BBQ drive in, and kept the orange juice on the menu. Then they converted it into the fast food model we now know, and despite cutting down the menu significantly in order to produce their entire menu quickly, they still kept the orange juice on the menu as it was easily dispensed from those clear sphere looking containers. However, when Ray Kroc took over he switched the orange juice to orange drink (just like he switched milkshakes made from ice cream to milkshakes made from powder) to lower costs.

We had Tang growing up at the grandparents house - we couldn't afford either so it was a treat and they lived close by - probably would spit it out if I drank it now but I have fond nemories.

Same.  Bought some a few years ago.  Not as bad as I expected.

:goodposting:

Those are the two best burgers McDonald's has come up with. Everyone mocks the McDLT because of the "hot side hot, cool side cool" shtick but it was a pretty tasty burger.

I love McDoubles with extra dehydrated minced onions for a $1.50.  And I don't care who makes fun of me.

Can't have anymore McDoubles for quite a long period of time since I'm on DAY 10 of the Keto and feeling fabulous!!
