Norwegian Dude Makes Trick Kick Video (1 Viewer)

Nifty video.

I've always wondered why more soccer players who aren't going to make it as pros don't try to learn NFL kicking. If you can kick a 60 yd FG, that seems to be enough to get in the door, and it's a pretty sweet job.

I'm pretty sure I could kick one in from an 85 degree angle 15 yards away too if I took 20 shots at it and only filmed the one where I was successful

Not to mention that there are probably 1000+ people who can kick 60 yard FG's given enough attempts (edit out the missed ones) with no defensive lineman jumping in the air to kick over. Janikowski could probably do this from 75 yards with a little wind.

I could do every one of those given enough attempts, save the 60-yarder (obviously important in NFL terms). The send one into the punt may take me all day, though. Maybe I should ring up the Jets.

but u didnt :) I agree though.. this is beyond stupid. Only the Jets. :bag: And yes.. Ive heard stories about Seabass kicking from 75+ yards and making it.EDIT: I watched maybe 45 seconds of this.. kicking isnt the problem.. wonder if the guy can take a snap under center and not give it to the other team?

Wow some good kickers here. Please bump this in a few years once you've finished filming your attempt at Nordic kicking awesomeness.

Shouldn't the Jets be scouting QBs? The best stategy for the Jets is to sign him and then trade to Green Bay for future considerations after Crosby knocks them out of the playoffs.
who said they weren't?youtube has, like, a million vids -- give them a few more months.

No you can't. It's hard enough to kick a 40-yarder, let along 5 50-yarders in a row.And to the guy who said he could make that 85 degree angle one with 20 kicks--not a chance. That is extremely difficult to do and even if you played soccer in your youth I think it would be too tight and angle. You only have about 2 feet of opportunity there...

Agreed that people are getting ahead of themselves. Why wouldn't you offer him a try out? You have basically 0 to lose. The fact that he can even hit all those different kicks is something. Also if you think you can hit all those kicks then prove it, go out and make a video...

Pretty cool. I mean, it's not jumping out of a pool, jumping into a truck, or long-snapping a 50-foot basket level of cool. But it's pretty neat.

There are other videos on YouTube called "Dude Perfect" that have guys doing some crazy stuff shooting basketballs a lot like this guy. I can watch that stuff all day. My buddy swears there is CGI involved, but I'm not sure.

The difference between an NFL kicker and this guy is consistency. This guy doesn't even look like he has good technique for what an NFL kicker has to do.

publicity stunt, he'll be cut quickly.

His name is HO-vard, just so you can pronounce it correctly. lol Lions should not even consider Akers. I'll take the distance and HO-vards learning curve over Akers inconsistencies.

BTW, that punters leg is insane as well. He has unreal hang time and sends the ball an unreal distance, the difference he provides for field position can come in more than handy.

Lions special teams getting a big bump if they keep both, but Spurlock is not the return man they should have back their.
