defending AL champions opening up the season against the team they beat in the ALCS playing in a dome. (wouldn't it have been ridiculous to have the phillies open up on the road?) would've been a nice treat for the tampa fans.

The Yankees were the defending AL Champs in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004. They only opened up at home once, in 2001.

But it's not rained/snowed out...Opening Day is in Cincy and it's a balmy 39, raining, and a windchill of 33 I don't give a ####...it's Opening Day and I couldn't be any happier!

A few years ago I would have said the same, and continue to be anti-dome for football. However, since Miller Park opened in Milwaukee I've changed my mind - retractable dome is the best of both worlds.
