Nothing Says Openning Day Like...... (1 Viewer)

i guess putting the BOS-TB game in tampa just made too much sense.

defending AL champions opening up the season against the team they beat in the ALCS playing in a dome. (wouldn't it have been ridiculous to have the phillies open up on the road?) would've been a nice treat for the tampa fans.

nah, let's have the champs open up on the road in the cold weather and risk a rain-out.

Direct slap in the face to Tampa. No freaking way your AL champs should open on the road.(admittedly, I don't know if the Trop was already booked for that date...maybe the Rays and MLB's hands were tied)

Why doesn't MLB schedule the first 2 weeks of the season in warmer climates - south and west? They could also start some games in domed stadiums.

Wait 6 months for Opening Day and then it gets rained/snowed out is lame.

The Yankees were the defending AL Champs in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004. They only opened up at home once, in 2001.

But it's not rained/snowed out...Opening Day is in Cincy and it's a balmy 39, raining, and a windchill of 33 :lmao:I don't give a ####...it's Opening Day and I couldn't be any happier! :excited:

Seriously??? Postponed: Cold -- White Sox home opener

I mean, I get it. It's cold, but is this a new thing? Postponed for cold? Isn't that what scotch is for?

I love open ball parks, But when it's 30 degrees with snow, its nice to have a dome

My Twins open in the baggie tonight, the game is sold out, and with the roof, its going to be LOUD :bag:

Next year outdoor ball returns to Minny which is ok :lmao:

Played golf on Saturday, and now there is a blanket of snow on the ground.

Any good sites to check out the ballparks plans or progress being made?

Where did you play?
Played WedgeWood.Corner of Rt 59 and Caton Farm Rd.
I've played it a few times, not a big fan, but it's probably the best of the Joliet Park District tracks.

This is one place where domes come in handy.
:lmao:Domes are for basketball
or pansies
A few years ago I would have said the same, and continue to be anti-dome for football. However, since Miller Park opened in Milwaukee I've changed my mind - retractable dome is the best of both worlds.
Been to Miller Park, one of my favorites. Great tail gating with all that parking space, something Minny's new park will not have.

Shhhh. No need for that. It is easier to play the poor TB gets no respect card.

Nothing says opening day like the idiots in San Francisco scheduling an exhibition game on Sunday to make an extra nickel, forcing the Brewers/Giants to open on Tuesday.

Weather in SFO on Monday? Sunny and warm

Weather today? 55F rain, thunderstorms and possible hail.

Setting up an opening day double header on Wednesday since Milwaukee doesn't travel to San Francisco again this year. The Giants also forced Milwaukee to push back their home opener on Friday due to a 4pm start on Thursday (in essence a night game for the Brewrs). :goodposting: :lmao:

1.) Getting your HGH all in line for the long season and making certain that MLB supports a full cover up

There never are thunderstorms in SF
