Now that FF season is almost over (1 Viewer)

I ask this because I find myself not as interested in the games as I was early in the season. With the FF season in the last week there are games I am just not interested in at all, especially the ones that do not have players I have on my fantasy team in them. It happens every year but the activity is getting light on this board as well. Since week 17 isn't a playoff week for me in any of my leagues I will watch the games but will not be on edge and anticipating the games as if it were in mid-season. I could go on and on but do some of you feel like this also?

I will however be back on that "high" come February with the combine, mock drafts and April's draft.

Two wordsPlayoff fantasy
Been playing ~10 years and have never given Playoff fantasy a thought. I may look into it.

To me, nothing in sports is better than the NFL playoffs. I don't need fantasy players involved to enjoy sports at its best.

no doubt but playoff fantasy makes it just a little bit better :lmao:
 I see the attraction but I've always enjoyed the playoffs just a little more because I don't have players involved. No more "don't throw it to HIM, throw it to HIM" type thoughts in my mind. I just want to see my team(s) win.I do, however, put a little coin on each game and play in a March Madness style pool.

Those of you who do Playoff Fantasy pools...have you found a good, cheap (preferably FREE), site(s) that manages rosters/points for the playoffs?

The last 5 or so years, a small group of friends and I have done the playoff pool with a small entry fee, and one of us (usually me) ends up being the guy manually doing the stats each week. It's not so bad, since I already have the Excel sheet built/formatted from previous years and I just have to change rosters, but having it automated would save me at least a couple of hours during the course of the playoffs.

Same goes for March Madness, when we do the exact same thing with each of us drafting 8-10 guys apiece...no head-to-head matchups, just total cumulative points by the end of the tournament wins.

I haven't found much out there for either situation.

I'd be interested to look into playoff fantasy as well. What free sites are good?

With so many teams I was always too burned out to go for NFL playoff pools! This of coarse is my big $$$ week I worked so hard to obtain for almost 5 months.

Week 17 I relax and do my x-mas shopping without haveing to worry about much in the fantasy world. But still enjoy the games on SUNDAY.

I always wanted nothing to do with the playoff pools until last year I decided to get in FBG's freebie. I was hooked and now I am already planning a few. Take week 17 off and then go at it again for some extra

I'm in the camp that is ALMOST relieved at the end of the fantasy year because I can finally watch the games in a more relaxed state of mind. I'm always sad when fantasy is over but the NFL playoffs are so awesome it almost makes up for it. The sad thing is when the ACTUAL superbowl is over. Those are dark days for me. That's when the mock drafts start and, in my primary league, we start planning the location of our next year's draft. Nothing is better than enjoying the NFL playoffs after winning your league(s).

I really don't need players to be interested in playoff games....BUT i'm not as interested in the playoff games as I am during the regular ff season...

I thought of this game (or maybe it's already out there and I don't know about it)....where at the beginning of the season you have 4 players...pick out of a hat to determine draft order...then you draft 8 teams each to total the 32 NFL teams....these teams will be your teams in hopes of a Super Bowl. You play for $100 bucks each or whatever amount you're comfortable with. Now the playoffs can be even more exciting where you're rooting for your team(s) to advance to the Super Bowl....winner takes all at the end.

MyFantasyLeague.com offers free fantasy leagues during the playoffs. You can't really beat that.

There are games I'm not interested in because they don't have any significance in the playoff race or I don't have a fantasy player involved. The "newness" of the season wore off a long time ago. With that said, I'm more excited this week than I have been in awhile. There are a lot of good games, like Carolina and the Giants, Atlanta in Minnesota, Baltimore in Dallas, Pittsburgh in Tennessee, Philadelphia in Washington, Arizona in NE.....and there's more. Really a good card.....even Detroit is playing against history trying not to go down as a winless team.

I loved pro and college football long before I either gambled or played fantasy football. they help with the excitement, but are just extras to the main course.

My favorite team (Colts) is more important than any fantasy teams I have. Football isn't over for me until football is over for the Colts, and over for my fantasy teams, in that order.

Been playing snapdraft a weekly fantasy football game since my team got eliminated... it's not the same as the regular season, but having some cash on the line each weekend still gets the juices flowing...

Bowl season is when dynasty leaguers should be most interested in games
Dynasty leaguers should be watching college ball year round  My football itch only tends to die for brief periods around the beginning of baseball season, beginning of golf season, and in between mini camps and training camp when I'm usually on vacation. Football's year round, baby!

Agreed. Especially division weekend, where you almost always have 4 really good games.
I love me some NFL but there is nothing that's even in the ballpark of March Madness (and I'm no particular college B-Ball fan). The whole setup is like none other in sports.

My sentiments exactly!! March Madness is king but the NFL playoffs are great as well. Easily the two most enjoyable sporting events of the year.

:excited: It doesn't get any better than the NFL playoffs for me. But I love everything having to do with football, despite being a Lions fan. :banned:

I'm the opposite I guess, I actually have MORE interest now that I've lost my playoff games...I am stoked about this weekends games in particular, Pitt/Tenn, Giants/Carolina, Jets/Seattle.next weekend it is Jets/Miami!

I have been running a fantasy playoff league for about 9 years now. It has grown from about 30 teams to 200 teams, this year I am expecting about 250 teams. It's hosted on MFL. If you want in, PM me your email address I can send you the information once we get to the playoffs.
