Frazier's profile scares the #### out of me.In the same 5x5 Roto league I asked about on page 6, I have a guy offering me Miguel Sano and Jose Batista for Todd Frazier. In the league Sano has OF eligibility, and a previous poster said I need help there, so would this be a good deal? Seems my CI is still solid and would help OF? Thoughts? Thanks.
I definitely do that deal.In the same 5x5 Roto league I asked about on page 6, I have a guy offering me Miguel Sano and Jose Batista for Todd Frazier. I like Sano or Bautista alone better than Frazier in roto. Thanks for the responses. That was the direction I was leaning as well. If you don't mind, could you guys give me an idea why you like Sano and Bautista together, better than Frazier? Thanks again, I'm going to go accept that right now.
I had Frazier last year and he's a very frustrating player to own. He will get you a ton of HRs and maybe even a few steals but that's it. If your league deducts points for Ks, he will hurt you far more than he will help. Thanks for the responses. That was the direction I was leaning as well. Frazier is a BA/OPB drain with no upside while Sano and Bautista were both undervalued coming into the year, IMO. Not sure Id take either one separately over Frazier (it would be close), but getting both is a no-brainer.Seatown Mofos said:Thanks for the responses. That was the direction I was leaning as well. Given those options, hold. Who knows if the ankle is really an issue, but the flu narrative is an easy one to get behind. Is Greg Bird a drop or hold? I could drop him for someone off to a hotter start like Suarez, Ellsbury, Escobar, or Werth? I've got Rizzo at 1B, so I'm mostly looking for UTIL/bench.
I'm in a CBS league and am surprised that Ellsbury is only owned in 57% of the leagues and of those owners only 37% of teams are starting him this week.Ellsbury
DevinskiI'm looking for a relief pitcher that will get a lot of innings with a low WHIP, not necessarily a closer.
Any names immediately come come to mind?
Rondon and Devenski stick out. I prefer Rondon if whip is your concern. Historically low bb rate, babip, hr rate, good gb rate, and good defense behind him fits. Devenski has a great bb rate for a reliever, but he yields more fb's and his hr rate from last year probably isn't repeatable.I'm looking for a relief pitcher that will get a lot of innings with a low WHIP, not necessarily a closer.

I'd probably take it, but that's more that I don't believe Garret is going to be as good as he has been all year long (all of the Reds for that matter).TripItUp said:Where are you guys on hunter renfroe? he was offered to me for Amir Garret, but I turned it down. Would like to make a counteroffer as my OF could use some help but not quite sure how to value him.
Story is on pace for 35 home runs and 250 strikeouts. Sounds about right.I'm getting neevous with Trevor Story's start this year and see gregorious is on waivers, should i stash gregorious?
also, how much longer can we expect Ryan Zimmerman to keep this up?
also, is Haniger the real deal?
Wtf did he expect from Story?
Motter is hot and the Mariners said yesterday he could play 1B, meaning they'll keep him in the lineup until he cools off. I lost Tulo in a league and grabbed Cozart, but SS can be slim pickings in leagues with MIF.Any thoughts on Taylor Motter or Ronald Torreyes? I lost Semien at SS and there's not much available on the waiver wire. I pre-emptively grabbed these two (and started Torreyes last week), the next best available are the likes of Aybar, Mercer, Rosales, Beckham. I could probably swing a deal for Tim Anderson but not sure how much better he is than the guys I grabbed in a league where none of them will be keepers.
I like Motter. I think he can be a low average masher who might steal a base once in a while. I wouldn't trade a ton for Anderson but I do think he's usable. I think Torreyes is BABIP lucky and about to lose his job when Gregorius gets back in a week or two.Any thoughts on Taylor Motter or Ronald Torreyes? Bueller?Swing 51 said:Eugenio Suarez for real? Somehow he is a free agent in my league and I'm done with Frazier, though there are other choices available.
He had a solid year last year and has started off hot. I wouldn't have an issue with picking him up to replace Frazier.Swing 51 said:Eugenio Suarez for real? Somehow he is a free agent in my league and I'm done with Frazier, though there are other choices available.
He won't bring in anything of value. Most people won't realize how good he has been in real life because he is averaging 2.5 K's per start. He is just a guy in most people's view. What are folks doing with Hellickson? He's been crushing this year but his periphs are god awful. I want to try to move him now but not sure what level to ask for. Any thoughts on what he might bring in?
Streaming consideration? Sure. Trade for? Nah.What are folks doing with Hellickson? He's been crushing this year but his periphs are god awful. I want to try to move him now but not sure what level to ask for. Any thoughts on what he might bring in?
I like this idea but I'm guessing he won't do it. I'll try anyways.I'd try and counter with Abreu and Oh for just Wacha, but I'd sink or swim with Thames.
Thanks. Yeah as LD suggested, I'm going to counter with Abreu for Wacha. And I'll include a note for him that Abreu will heat up (as you suggested)Nah I wouldn't trade Thames for a pitcher.
Abreu did this last year too and then was on ? the whole 2nd half.
Guess he did. Didn't realize he was almost .900 OPS in 2nd halfNah I wouldn't trade Thames for a pitcher.

yeah, but he doesn't get to play the Tigers everyday. They suck.Abreu double dong afternoon
Desmond gets activated today, so Parra's probably done for until Reynolds cools downDropped story, picked up gregorious. Story was killing me in my H2H points league where strikeouts are -1.
Picked up Parra to fill the Haniger hole.
picked up swarvaski for RP, picking were slim
