NY Jets (-3) vs. Miami Dolphins - Week 9 (1 Viewer)

Fitzpatrick is good at a avoiding the rush, but he tends to throw INTs when pressured. The Jets should blitz more.

Could Gase be fired if the Jets lose this game to what has been looked at as a historic bad team?
Based on a small sample, Flores > Gase.  It's easy to be an offensive guru when you have a HOF at QB.

That said, Gase produced some nice wins for Miami and Ajayi had three 200 yards  games with Gase at the helm.

Phins could have scored a TD on a fumble recovery in the end zone but managed to splash it out of the back of the end zone for a Safety instead.

I hope Gase never wins another game. He should not be on an NFL sideline except after the game, cleaning up the garbage left behind.

So when is NY going to get off the crack rock and fire Gase?

Lord....I underestimated how bad the Jets were. They aremaking our Dolphins look great today.

And now with 19 seconds left the Jets kick a FG they could have made with a lot closer to about 1:00 left than right now...I don't get it.

This goes in the "obviously stupid" thread.  I'm sure Gase was thinking "Let's take the FG and set up an onside kick rather than go for the TD and possibly not get the opportunity for an onside."  But obviously you're way more likely to get the TD now than you will be after a (hypothetical) successful onside kick, and you need a TD somewhere.

It is truly insane what the NFL has done to special teams. They have neutered the onside kick rendering it virtually impossible. And have neutered the kick return which was one of the most exciting plays in the game.

And add to that the endless replay......awesome job NFL for running what was once a great game. And don’t get me started on the quality of the league.....oh my. It’s horrid.

Us fans get treated to an early Super Bowl-like game atmosphere. Who stinks more games are always fascinating. On a serious note I think the Jets start to look like a football team again for a stretch and this is just the game for them to be able to do it. The Dolphins will do anything to continue to lose and the Jets have more talent than they showed last week. Bell gets going early and Darnold/Anderson make brave fantasy owners happy in this one.
Well....I was wrong on that one. You dummy.

The Jets kicking the FG was unbelievably stupid. That made zero sense being that close to the goaline down 11. You absolutely have to go for the TD there because you have no idea a) if you can get that close again and b) if you miss the 2 point conversion you know that you need a TD after the onside instead of a FG.

Gase should have been fired before even getting in the plane. What a dumpster fire. At least the Dolphins have a ton of draft picks.

Gase is an absolute moron. Proves it every week.  Cant imagine the smoke and mirrors job he did to get another gig. Sad.

Once you're in high percentage field goal range, then it's time to fire into the end zone quickly 3 times and, if there's no success with it, kick it.   The Jets didnt do that and burned maybe 40 extra seconds playing the for the first down instead of the TD.
