OBJ Injury Effect and Wk 6 WW Help (1 Viewer)

Like many, I'm a heartbroken OBJ owner (let alone Giant fan). Looking around the WW, it appears I got a leg up on the hot pickups at WR for this week as I already have Fuller and Funchess, while also rostering Alshon Jeffrey, Amari Cooper and Jaron Brown. I don't think anyone on the wire is better than these guys.

Obviously I'm dropping OBJ tonight, and I also have to drop Dan Bailey at PK due to his bye. We have a 3 adds/drop rule per week. I can't bring myself to carry 2 kickers, especially when my replacement options are darn good (Matt Bryant, for example).

Here's what I have on the wire worth considering, wondering who you'd gun for as my last 1-2 waiver bids. Mostly stash candidates. I have 2nd lowest WW priority and $63 remaining from a $100 FAAB. Drop candidates besides Dan Bailey and OBJ: Jaron Brown or Tarik Cohen (non-PPR league)?

RB: Matt Breida, Adrian Peterson, Dion Lewis, Austin Ekeler (I own Mel Gordon), Chris Ivory
- my other RB's are Gordon, D Martin, A. Abdullah, J. Stewart

TE: Hunter Henry or Kyle Rudolph (one of them to cover Zach Ertz's wk 10 bye--I know, carrying 2 TE's seems like a waste)

WR: Donte Moncrief, Corey Davis, Jamison Crowder, Roger Lewis, Mike Williams, Mike Wallace, Marques Goodwin, Smith-Schuster

DST: Denver DST - I have Detroit who will be on bye next week while Broncos are done with byes and have a (unfortunately) great matchup vs my Giants this week. Hate bidding on a DST, but it is a starting position worth 14 pts for a shutout.

1. Denver and then you are done for the season with DST moves. 2. Drop Bailey for anyone cheap. 3. I'd leave the RB's alone but would be ok picking up Moncreif or Lewis if cheap but no need to break the bank.

I would pick up AP.  I think he is worth the chance and if he doesn't pan out you can quickly drop him.  I think the Cardinals will utilize him and give him touches.  That is what he needs.  Saints never let him get going but I think the Cards will.

For WR's I actually like the idea of picking up Corey Davis.  You don't need a WR but he could turn into something down the playoff stretch and be a contributor.  I also like JuJu as a flyer as well.

I wouldn't worry about getting a TE.  You have a few weeks to worry about that.

Some dude spent the rest of his FAAB on Peterson in my league--just got the FAAB report. Wow--$57, and we only get a $100 budget. I only bid $7! He's 4-1, somehow, after what we thought was a questionable draft. He is heavily invested in the GB Offense with Rodgers/Montgomery/Jones/Adams. All power to him.

I am liking the Davis suggestion, he was on my radar coming into the season. He passed waivers, I may snatch him if he starts practicing this week.

Denver D & Matt bryant & you are set.

Id pick up Corey Davis-- he could have the highest ceiling of every WR on your team 2nd half (remember its only week 6)

This is why I suggested taking him now.  Once he starts practicing or gets any positive report he will be snatched up quickly.  If you have the room I would pick him up before any of the hype starts so you can get him cheap.

I am not surprised someone blew their wad on AP at this point.  His upside is fairly high and at this point in the season I don't see anybody coming out of nowhere to make an impact.  Sure it might not work out but if it does you get a huge boost.  If it doesn't then you are out some FAB but how much do you really need at this point in the season?

People snatched up the kickers I wanted, so i ended up with Dustin Hopkins, whose been as steady as it comes all 4 weeks he played, and he's done with his bye. I guess could be worse. You really never know with kickers. I could always go back to Bailey.
