I'm interested in people's opinions on O-Line strength -- not because my league includes this position, but because of its impact on other performers. It's obvious that the strength of a team's offensive line can have a major impact on how that team's offensive players perform.
However, it seems like fantasy analysts rarely talk about the relative strength of O-lines throughout the league. I'm curious as to how you would rank the top 10 or 15 offensive lines in the league based on what you know from last year and what you've seen in camps and preseason games.
To get you started, here are some lines that I see as being particularly strong this year:
Dallas
Minnesota
Cleveland
Green Bay
IndianapolisWhich teams am I missing? What order would you put these in?
On the other side of the coin, which lines will be awful? Here are a few of my candidates:
Kansas City
akland
Atlanta
San Francisco
MiamiWho else belongs on this list?
O-Line strength can be a huge factor in deciding between two players that are otherwise closely matched (particularly RBs and QBs). It can also have an impact in determining if I want to handcuff my RB stud. If the team has a bad O-line, there's less chance that the handcuff will perform at a level similar to the starter, IMO.
Do you know of any "experts" or analysts that have taken a close look at O-Line strength? What are your opinions?
