***Official 2010 Pro Bowl Game Thread*** (1 Viewer)

The key for the AFC will be limiting turnovers and establishing the running game. On the other side, the NFC will have to generate a pass rush and will need to score touchdowns instead of settling for field goals.

Last Pro Bowl I watched Juice was coming off his 2K season (the Electric Company)

Had it on in the background tonight...watched Andre beat Samuel (who gave up after the first move)...tried watching a few plays but the level of effort on the line is laughable...I've seen 7-on-7 drills with more intensity.

Anyway...could somebody fill me in on the background of why they changed the week and the location? Is it moving back to Hawaii and after the SB next year?

NFC = :own3d:

:towelwave:

:pickle:

AFC! AFC! AFC!

By the way - if you think the effort on defense was bad - hope you checked out the 'attempts' to block the extra points ;)

i had too many guys in the pro bowl.

schaub, cj3, jones-drew, vjax, dockett.

i just hope no one got seriously hurt.

Wade Phillips should have put Rodgers back in there at the end like the AFC did with Schaub. Of course, Wade's not going to do that to Romo.

DJax explosive as always, McNabb looking more relaxed and happy when he wasn't throwing the ball than when he was under center. Sigh.

Schaub didn't just get put back in the game because it was close. It was the plan all along. Schaub played 1/3 first half, Young plyed 1/3 then Garrard played 1/3. 2nd half the same, but Garrard started, followed by Young, then Schaub. Sounded like a good plan that worked very well for the AFC.

I think it was smart of them to move it before the SB. This is the first Pro Bowl I've watched since the 90's. I was fairly entertained.

I have to disagree. I thought it was so bad that it almost made me less enthusiastic about the Superbowl. Kind of like seeing something disgusting and then trying to eat a delicious meal. I've lost my appetite. :X The game was such a joke. Pass rushers getting to the QB and then just sort of letting them go as if to say "if this was a real game, I gotcha" and the QB is allowed to throw a pass. And then Mario Williams a couple times did his "going through the motions" pass rush and then when the equally lazy offensive lineman doesn't react, he turns on the jets for a cheap sack. The whole game was like that. Terrible. :lmao:

It's like a backyard football game. Dunno what people were expecting.

It just seems out of place. Last week we had 2 hard fought football games with the winners going to the superbowl. This week a craptastic game where nobody gives a rats behind and the football is awful. Next week the Super Bowl. Put it back where it was. It made for the perfect anticlimax to the NFL season. Now I'm left pining for baseball like I always am after the probowl, only there's one game left.

At least Donovan was true to form.
what cracks me up is if you look at the eagles forum or listen to sports radio n philly, people are bashing him left and right.. "trade him! u see how bad he did in the pro bowl" at times im ashamed to be considered a philly fan just cause of how some of them think. seriously, its the pro bowl, who gives a flying goat sack lol
