2025 Philadelphia Eagles - ‘25 Eagles, ‘85 Bears, ‘00 Ravens, in that order. (64 Viewers)

Jurgens issued practice today with a concussion. If he were limited, he would have a better chance to play, but this likely means he won’t clear protocol in time to play this week.
That sucks

Who?

Eagles.really.good.center? Wont matter vs a lesser team like you guys though

The Eagles arent even the best franchise in their own state. Steelers, Nittany Lions, Abington Galloping Ghosts........... Eagirls.
stinky bait....like so stinky mods SHOULD call out this kind of post

I haven’t said anything inflammatory or rude. I haven’t made fun of a poster. Your guys are giving right back and Im taking it in stride.

I’m an extremely long time poster ribbing another group of extremely long time posters during “Dallas Week”. It isnt nefarious.

Cmon dude, really?

ETA - Im having a absolutely brutal week IRL so this really is bothering me more than it should. You got a good team, winning the division, appear to be improving but you cant take a little smack talk a few days before the game. Way to kill the vibe man.

Good luck this week and see the rest of you in the game thread.
You good man. Love ya

Just got my Eagles playoff ticket email.

Cowboys fans, playoffs are the games good teams play after the regular season ends. Like the turkey, your season will be cooked by Thanksgiving.

Pretty sure you still have fewer playoff wins than the lowly Cowboys despite being in the league longer.

No doubt. You can always pop in your VHS tapes and relive those 90s Cowboys teams. That must feel like 30 years ago though.

Be fair. It was 29 years ago

I was as 20. The Cowboys were so good that I was literally telling people how bored I was of them winning and that I missed it when we were the plucky up-and-coming team of 1989.

I got my wish. Every year.

LOL sounds exactly like a Cowboys fan!

I do wish a Cowboys fan would come in here to actually talk about the game, that might be cool

You guys have the upper hand at the moment, but it’s still a divisional team against a divisional rival.

Cowboys got a lot of players back on defense last week and the 2 new additions. There should be some big improvement on that side of the ball.

As far as Micah Parson goes – I know it’s in your best interest to try and frame the narrative that it was awful to let him go, but nobody wants that dude in Dallas. Period. This is coming from one of his biggest fans. He is selfish on and off the field. A locker room distraction.

I dare say it but DJax was right about him.

As far as this particular game goes….

Your offense is hot garbage when you consider the embarrassment of riches you trot out there. Your quarterback plays like it’s 1927 but is fortunate his receivers play in this eras ruleset.

Your defense is still suspect. Your secondary is still a liability. Rod Woodson and Ray Lewis aren’t walking through that door.

You guys play to your competition this year so it should be close. Cowboys aren’t good but neither were the Giants when they beat you.

Cowboys have nothing to lose.
I agree with most of this other than the bolded. The additions of the trade of Jaelan Phillips - who already knows this very complicated defense AND getting Nolan Smith back at the same time have been season changing alterations. The Birds have really got no pass rush from the edges for much of this year, hence making the secondary appear more suspect than it actually is.

But I will acknowledge the gains you guys have made too, obviously adding Williams and getting Overshown back help the defense. Just unsure how much it will help (or really matter lol against our offense) but I do have hopes for success against it. I just don't see a pass rusher besides Williams that really I feel I should worry about.

Quinyon Mitchell is easily a top 10 CB in the league right now, just unsure how high high he is up there, I'd like to believe top 5 going off of some of the metrics I have read about him

Right now he is allowing 41.9% completion % on his targets, and if I recall, Pickens didn't do much game 1.

But I digress Like I said, 2 additions to both teams (although Nolan did play week 1, but Carter did not so even stevens) have definitely made the defenses of the past 2 weeks for both of us look different than it did for the first say 6-8 weeks, I think we can agree on that.

Should be a fun matchup and as and Eagles fan we have 3 road matchups left on the schedule against top level passing attacks and this is the 1st stop.

I think we rattle Dak and get in his face a lot and force turnovers, but maybe thats just me being biased.

The offense? I think we go run heavy and actually have success doing it

Passing game will not be great volume, but efficient

It actually started turning around when Nakobe Dean came back. He only played 6 special teams snaps in the week 6 loss to NY. Then played 45% of the defensive snaps in week 7 vs. Minnesota and has slowly been working his way up to around 70% of the snaps. His insertion into the lineup has caused the other teams rushing numbers to drop dramatically. Then adding Smith and Phillips is just icing on the cake.

Just need to find Adoree Jackson.

Of course you will be run heavy. Hurts is your “quarterback”. ;)

Dean was a wrecking ball in the Detroit game. (I think that was the game- I haven’t watched very much live football this season)

I listen to a podcast with Nate Newton - He gets hype for OL and DL players, especially DTs. He raves about Nolan Smith.

Reminds me- Nate always brings up Jerome Brown. You guys have always had good DTs. Jerome, Cox and now Smith. I’m sure there’s a few others along that timeline.

He was a good in both the Green Bay and Detroit games. Against Green Bay he caused Love to fumble when they were in scoring position. Against Detroit, he totally obliterated Montgomery causing him to knock down Goff for a sack. He's a true middle LB, which Campbell isn't, he was playing out of position. Campbell is more of a Zach Baun OLB type.
