A coin flip on the Steen deal.

I'm always leery of players having a career year, as they are set to become a free agent. If Steen's current scoring is the new norm, it will be a great deal for STL. If he reverts back to his own ways, it will be a disaster for STL.

Disagree, the cap is going to go up to 71.1 and maybe even 72MM next year. And will be going up consistently every year after. I think you will see lesser players getting as much as he is this off season.

this would be a bigger flop than the glowing puck. sick of hearing it discussed as a viable option. it would be a complete and total disaster imo.
I think Seattle would be a good fit no?
that's a no brainer.

picking Vegas over Quebec City though is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Who would move back to the West if QC gets a team? They need two more teams in the West to balance things out. Seattle and not sure where else.

I don't care about that as much. Doesn't make sense to pick a market that is doomed to failure just to balance out the conferences. The population on the continent is not equally balanced between east and west so not sure why the league has to be.

I think they need to move Florida personally so that would open up a chance for a 3rd new market, but I don't think there are any other Western markets that make sense.

Adding a 2nd team to Toronto, going back to Quebec, and hitting Seattle or Portland should be the top 3 options.

Just going based on some of the East owners #####ing that it's harder to make the playoffs in the East with the conferences unbalanced.

And I agree, would think QC and Seattle are the two most logical choices. I doubt a 2nd team in Toronto will happen with how opposed the Leafs are to it.

While I think it's great news that Brayden Schenn isn't reporting any concussion symptoms, I can't believe the Flyers didn't put him thru concussion testing anyway after that hit.

I think Pittsburgh should be rewarded a second team cuz they are awesome. They can just use the W/B guys since they keep winning with the big club anyways.

The Sabres have acquired winger Linus Omark from the @EdmontonOilers in exchange for a conditional 6th round pick in the 2014 NHLDraft.
Dave Lozo @DaveLozo

"You've been traded from the Oilers…" "YES OMG" "…to the Sabres." "### #### IT."
I understand he's a shootout specialist. Now the Sabres just have to find a way to get to overtime.
That requires scoring the occasional goal.

Olli Maatta is playing unbelievable for the Pens. Just scored a short handed penalty shot. Second Pens dman in franchise history to score one. He's a lock for the Fins in the Olympics.

Wild are a ### #### disaster on the road. Refs even giving them a break tonight and they go 0 for including a penalty shot shorty to cap off a near full 5 on 3. Embarrassment.

Crosby's pass on Kunitz's goal was world class. Sick feed.

Flyers managed 3 goals in last 4:40 to win 5-4.

Jerrroooo's winning goal was a highlight goal. Back to the goal, no angle along the goalline, getting cross-checked from behind and lifts a backhand on goal

Tomas Jurco is like a Barnum and Bailey act. Puck here, there, between the legs then on goal. :lmao:

This is the most young talent the Wings have had since Datsyuk and Z were babies. Nyquist, Tatar, Dekeyser and Jurco all impressive.

Must win tonight, Ramo making some ridiculous saves though.

You think Kunitz is gonna make team Canada?

There are just some guys who see things in slow motion, Crosby can do things very few players have ever been able to do. I'm not even sure how he saw Kunitz, or how that pass made it through that traffic, but that was indeed world class.

If I'm making the team, no chance. Just too many better options, so deep at forward. It's Crosby, just give him the best finisher, but you never know with the instant chemistry angle.

So is Edmonton gonna bust up this team and start trading these young guys for vets? I would imagine every team in the league would like a Taylor Hall, Nail or Eberle. What a huge disappointment, they just look awful.

Hey Detroit Homers,

Have any of you ever had tickets that allowed you into the Olympia Club?

I just got 4 tix to see St Louis in Jan 8 rows from the glass, and Olympia entrance is included.

I will have my 2 boys and my nephew. Can kids go in there? Do players (maybe scratched players) ever go in there? Cost for dinner?

Any and all info is very appreciated

Yeah kids are allowed in there. Have no idea how much it would be for dinner, I got in there once and had some drink coupons. That's what us poor folks do, we use coupons. ;)

I think everyone in the lower bowl at the Joe has access. That's why the seats are so empty. That club must be pretty nice.

It's really not but I will say that it's always ####### packed. So many of those lower bowl seats are corporate and they are either there with their mistress, or with business clients. I've never been to an arena with more people in the concourse at any given time, or in that meh bar.

Some of it has to do with the bathroom facilities, you better go to the bathroom during the game because if you go during the intermissions, the time you stand in line exceeds the actual intermission. Even during playoff games I take a piss during the game, and I don't drink a whole lot of beer either. The Joe has ambiance and it's got great acoustics, but other than that it's a ####hole. Not as bad as Nassau, but pretty bad.

When they get to the new arena allot of those corporate jokers will be in their boxes and in the premium seating around the boxes.
