Oops, not Iggy.

Originally got credit for his first Bruins goal, but now ruled it tipped in over Lucic.

Anyone wishing John Scott was out of the league probably will get your wish, at least for a few games.

Nasty late cheap shot elbow on Eriksson coming through center ice.

ugly elbow to the head from John Scott on Loui Eriksson.

sweet goal from Zadorov earlier though.

The bottom bowl at the Joe looks empty
Always does.
Just more than normal tonight.
Thanks for the update Titletown Tom. Red Wings had the 7th longest sellout streak in North American sports history with 452 from 1996-2007 (also the longest in NHL history), averaged 100% capacity last year, and have sold out every game this year.

When they come to DC to play your ####steak Capitals with your one Eastern Conference Finals banner in the rafters, there will be about 4k Red Wings fans to remind you how much you suck balls.
what kind of steak?

Rolston is kind of a disaster. I miss Lindy.
He seems out of his league. I am not a Millbury fan, but he made some good points last night post game.
pretty much knew this would happen when they brought him up from Rochester last year. the main selling point for him was that he was a good teacher who could help develop the kids. that's not really happening if they don't understand basic strategy.

I'm fine with struggling and going through a rebuilding year or two for the greater long-term good but they look like the worst team in the league and it's getting embarassing.

not much point in dumping Ruff to bring in a guy who can't coach. something needs to happen there soon.

Rebuilding is one thing, and every team goes through it but he's making bad decisions as it relates to Scott. Last night, Kessel etc. He should be accountable and should be suspended or fined. Scott's just doing what's asked of him and will be suspended for last night's mugging. Rolston should pay as well.

John Scott is a punk who has apparently switched his focus to taking on, and cheap shotting, guys he knows won't smash his face in. Wouldn't be surprised if the next time Buffalo plays Boston, Chara, Thornton & Co. get him back on track.

I don't care about Scott but it's ridiculous to have Grigorenko playing with him.
For those of us who don't follow the Sabres closely, his decisions to put Scott on the ice in absurd situations/matchups clearly indicate that he doesn't know what he's doing. It reflects poorly on the Sabres organization.

Not many people in the league are able to smash Scott's face in even if they wanted to

Preds Pekka Rinne out at least a month

The Nashville Predators on Thursday announced goaltender Pekka Rinne will miss about four weeks to have arthroscopic surgery on his left hip due to an infection.

Predators general manager David Poile said Rinne had been diagnosed with a spontaneous bacterial infection in his hip, the same one he had arthroscopic surgery on in May.

Poile said Rinne complained of a fever after the team's game Tuesday at the Minnesota Wild, which led to the discovery of the bacterial infection, which Poile said was directly related to the surgery.

Rinne is 4-4-1 with 2.31 goals-against average and .931 save percentage in nine games. He's 1-1-1 in his past three games, but has allowed one goal in each.

In Rinne's absence Carter Hutton will start the Predators' game Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets. Hutton is 1-0-0 in two games. In his only start this season he stopped 38 of 39 shots in a 3-1 win against Winnipeg on Oct. 20.

The team also recalled goalie Magnus Hellberg from their American Hockey League team, the Milwaukee Admirals. Hellberg, 22, is 1-2-0 with a 2.23 GAA and .913 save percentage in three AHL games this season.

Trotz said he would decide his starting goaltender on a game-by-game basis. Hutton has played three NHL games, while Hellberg has never played in the NHL.

Poile said he'd like to see each goalie play at least twice before deciding if he would have to look outside the organization for a replacement.

Chara will give him all he can handle, then Thornton will go with him, then Seidenberg...most guys in the Bruins lineup will drop them with anyone, especially a dirtbag like Scott.

Thornton already squared off with Scott early in a game last season. It didn't end very well for him.

Thornton couldn't care less. No guy wins ever battle. In fact, I would argue that Scott got thrown to the ice fairly easily by McQuaid that night right after his cheapshot.

Point is, Scott would get sick of having to drop them against guys who actually will fight him unlike Kessel.

Video of hit and McQuaid's judo throw which was about as effective as Scott's fight with Thornton.

Don't stop him, let him keep going, best stuff in here in awhile...

I would love to see Zeke drop them with Scott just to see a great fight but I don't see the B's letting that happen. No need to risk him over a goon.

I tried googling zeke chara and got no results.

Google says "did you mean Zdeno Chara?"

Yes, google I think we did.

What's the point of using a nickname that nobody has heard of when it only saves you one keystroke from saying Chara or Zdeno?

great matchup between captain terrific and slippery pete tonight at the XYZ. will be tough without swedish fish in the lineup but they should have enough depth with sammy icetime and big poppa pump back there.
