***Official 2013/2014 NHL Regular Season Thread*** (1 Viewer)

14 minutes without a whistle in Pittsburgh. Not sure I've seen that before.
Crowd boo'd when Halak covered that puck.

Strange game in that I had a heated confrontation with a few angry fans at the final whistle because they said I was talking too much during the game. A fat butch chick wouldn't let us leave our row when there was a whistle with under 10 seconds to go. I have season tickets. None of the people around me do. Pens have been offering 30% tickets for some games and this was one of them. So strange. The people who complained were silent the entire game aside from a few snide remarks about how much we were talking. CEC is quieter than a church.

Just for the record, the Rangers won the Cup last night. On my XBox. In 5 games. Against the Kings. Beat them like a rented mule. I swear I saw Mark Messier on the ice, and Brian Leetch, and Adam Graves.... and Craig MacTavish without his helmet the nutjob....

Yeah..... I'm counting it.

On the positive side, I don't have to feel the sting of losing a playoff series this year.

FORE!
I'm ready

I'm going out on a limb and saying no significant changes this offseason.
You would have to think the core of this team has to be broken up but this all depends on if GMGM is brought back because he has shown he will stick with them no matter what.I can't see Ovie or Backstrom getting moved but Laich and Green would be the one's to take the fall and get moved.

Green just hasn't been right in 4 or 5 years now and it's only getting worse but the sad thing is they really have nobody behind him who is either good enough or ready to take over his minutes so they may be stuck with him for one more year if they can't move him.

I don't see GMGM being fired knowing Ted so I'm sure you will be right.

Rangers signed Ryan Haggerty from RPI:

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/12/rangers-sign-ncaa-standout-haggerty/

Haggerty, 21, has spent the last three years with R.P.I after playing with the U.S. National Development Team in 2010-11 (where he was a teammate of Rangers prospect J.T. Miller). The 6-foot, 180-pound forward scored a career-high 43 points in 35 games this year, potting an impressive 28 goals in the process.

Haggerty will report directly to the Rangers — he’s unable to join AHL Hartford because his deal was signed post-deadline.
Know nothing about him...anyone ever see him play?

I think the Rangers plan was to sign another 6 foot 180 pound Ryan with an Irish surname, hoping fans would just get confused

B's looking like the better team so far in second. Bruins are better, as Milbury pointed out, when they're forechecking and in between the blue lines. Canadiens dominate center ice.

Uhoh Rud, sounds like Bettman is trying to ruin your plan and give McDavid to the Penguins.

Dreger: Among the tidbits to surface from gm mtngs is possibility of further change to Draft lottery. NHL will work on a proposal and report back...

Pegula needs to start filling their pockets with cash.

Another Avalanche win against the Hawks and now are in front of them in the standings - heck of a season going down at the Pepsi Center. Avalanche are 31-0-2 when taking a lead into the 3rd period. 33-1-3 when scoring first.

is anyone even close to Roy for coach of the year? doesn't seem like it.

amazing turnaround there.

CBJ penalty because Thornton hits himself in the face with his own stick. Then he's trying to show blood. :lmao:

Jackets get revenge with a shorty. Karma!

James Neal out with concussion. Pens have 391 man games lost most in the NHL, Det second with 286.

Pens Flyers afternoon weekend games late in the season are easily my favorite regular season games every year. We got 2, yes 2 of them, this weekend. Should be fun.

Rangers picked a bad time to stop scoring.

Wild goalie played lights out last night though.

Cally with more goals than msl right now

Down here in Smashville for the Blues game tonight. Judging by the crowd on the strip last night we should be well represented. Looking forward to it
