***Official 2013/2014 NHL Regular Season Thread*** (1 Viewer)

One of the most uneventful Flyers/Pens games in recent memory. I hope the Pens show up tomorrow and make it interesting at least. They lied down like the dogs they are after falling well behind in the second.

How is that not a goal for the Kings? Guess they could rule that it's goalie interference. Get the refs some working microphones so they can explain the ruling.

Seriously, sticks used to be of reasonable cost. What happened?

But his line was really funny.

 
Hawks really need to wake up, playing some really average to below average hockey lately. Going to be a tough playoffs if they don't get moving.

 
Blues fans took over Bridgestone last night. Pretty cool experience, but I bet their fans hated us. Building is beautiful on the outside, but pretty meh on the inside. Didn't think the inside of hockey arenas would be all that noticeably different but I was sorely mistaken.

Big home and home sweep for the Flyers with a tough stretch of games coming up. Sounds like we're catching the Hawks in a free fall so Tuesday could be a good game.

Now that Jokerit's season is over there's a real possibility that Teravainen gets added. I didn't really expect to see him in Chicago until next year. Anyone think he's ready to stick now or would it be just to get him a taste of the NHL?

He'll likely get a shot over any of the guys in Rockford that haven't been able to stick, and I think it's more to see if he'll fit in at C or W (Some have said he's projecting more as a RW than a C) and how he handles the NHL game.

I think he's a strong bet to get a look late in the season and be added as depth for the playoffs.

 
Iginla is just playing lights out for the Bruins. He even looks like he's retained his speed, looks comfortable, etc. Be nice if he could make it through the playoffs fresh.

eta* The Iginla-Lucic-Krejci line is just dominant right now. Following that up with Smith-Marchand-Bergeron ain't so bad, and Soderberg-Kelly-Erickson looks just so tough.

When Stoner undresses you on a breakaway, you probably shouldn't be an NHL goalie.

Comfortable win was exactly what this team needed, been playing well but not getting the results.

It might be, we want Molson. They are Islander fans.

Amazing what Iggy can do when he's put in his proper position.

Pens with a good bounce back game. Stempniak looks pretty good with Sid and Kunitz, much better than AHL'er Brandon gibbons. Zatkoff has been great in the few games he's played this season. Pretty sure that's another Lombardi goalie, guy can't seem to miss with netminders. Still think the Flyers are gonna give them fits if/when they meet in the playoffs. Flyers record at Consol is dominate and even more telling when compared to all other teams.
