A couple pages back I said we needed some guys for the line like Idonije, didn't think they'd take me literally, but glad they are listening none the less.

Wilson is ready to slide into the 3rd WR role and I'm pretty excited to see it.
I don't get Wilson, I hear the media pumping him up and hear crazy statements from them like could be as good or better then Jeffery, but I've never heard anything in a bears presser or direct statement backing that up. I hope he really will be good and I'm not questioning him or anything, just never heard anything direct.

Is he in Florida training with the rest of the offense? Hope so, I think that made a big difference for Jeffery last year. Besides the on field stuff, I think that training group Marshall set up has been one of the best things he's done for the team, really happy with how much of a leader and supporter of the rest of the team he has been. I don't think you see that many other players doing that on a large scale.

I'm a Packer fan living in Denver. I had ample opportunity to see Marshall's act close up, real close up. I thought there was no way he would ever mature and thought the Bears had hooked up with a cancer. At this point I have to admit I was wrong. He has conducted himself quite well off the field and is quite a force on the field.

Reports on the Score place Wilson in FLA working with Jay and the other WR's.

Cowboys and DT Henry Melton are putting finishing touches on a multi-year deal, according to a source.

Oh well, bring on the draft.

As unlikely as it is, I still keep hoping to wake up to find the Bears signed Jared Allen ...that would make me thrilled as far as FA goes. Then we get best DT in the draft at 14 and go secondary with our 2nd and 3rd round picks.

No surprise Melton goes with Rod in Dallas. DT at 14 is a virtual lock. Still think I prefer Jernigan but would be happy with him, Donald or even Hageman.

Bears have shown lots of interest in Quarles so do not be surprised if they go S followed by Quarles. If they think Pryor and Ha ha are both acceptable, I hope they trade down and get another 3rd or 4th round pick in the process

Besides Jared Allen I keep hoping the Bears sign Ex packer Nick Collins to a one year prove-it deal. Low risk high reward situation. His agent has said he is ready to get back to football. Why not take a chance? We can always extend him next off season if he works out

I still really want to see Wootton back on this team. It's kinda starting to feel unlikely, but hopefully they have been talking on the side and we can still get him back. He's not elite or anything like that, but if we can get him back into the DE rotation, we could be pretty solid there.

Defensive opportunities had nothing to do with it. He was 2nd in avg on kickoff returns and 1st on punt returns, not to mention how he affects every kickoff and punt return with his presence alone. If I'm not mistaken, the Bears led the league again in starting field position. You really think TDs is the only way he affects games? He gives us the best starting field position in the league every year. The proof is right there.

Who's saying he wants millions? It sounds like he just wanted to play for the Bears. Not sure where that's coming from, probably the same place that said Urlacher would be playing somewhere if he got an offer. No one knows if he got an offer from another team or just didn't want to play for someone other than the Bears. Hester was never contacted by the Bears. He said it himself.
We now have our answer

A source tells ESPN that free agent KR Devin Hester is seeking $4 million per season.
It's a laughable request from a 31-year-old return specialist. If Hester lowers his price, he's expected to draw interest from the Falcons, Dolphins, Chiefs and Packers. Green Bay is looking to get Randall Cobb off returns so he can focus solely on offense.

My favorite was when he made the comment that he was the best player in the nfl because he could play offense, defense, and ST, or something to that effect. I think Devin's a little delusional... Guessing he told that to the Bears and they said have fun finding that in FA.

He really may have messed up his HOF chances if he realistically had any. What he needed to do was hook himself back up with Toub, who always runs very good special teams, or another top ST org, and put 2-3 more TD's in. Breaking that record wide open really may have give him consideration.

With the ####### we have as ST coordinator, not sure the Bears could have helped him much, but it would have been nice to see.

DAMN!!!!! I knew it was looking unlikely with having signed so many DL players, but still disappointed. He really started coming on for us 2 years ago, and was a great team player this year, even thought he wasn't the best DT.

Not a disaster for the team, but I liked him.

Yeah Wooten got a raw deal last year having to spend so much time inside. I thought he seemed ready to possible breakout as a pass rushing end. Oh well.

Something seems to be coming up. It wouldn't be like Emery to cut Earl and Weems and restructed Jay without having a plan for creating this cap space. It's not like it was a necessary move to hit a deadline or anything

Wow holy crap. So that's why Jay already redid his deal.

Gotta give it to Emery....this is how you fix a D.
