Water break, sponsored by Home Depot. Soccer really has made it to America.

why not take a water break on a throw-in or foul or corner or some stoppage in play? these announcers can't question anything?

I'm not a soccer fan usually, don't know a ton about tactics and such, but can someone tell me if I'm crazy? It seems like US has been outplaying Portugal (save the terrible turnover that led to that goal).

Jones came down weird after that header and was just standing there not playing, I think the ref motioned his way when he blew the whistle.

Is Bradley related to Tony Romo?
he looks good to me. what didn't you like?
The passing to the wrong jersey?
oh. well, other than that I guess he looks pretty strong today
He had played better than last game. But his passing has been off target in key spots.
I think he's been on the money during most plays. Disagree.
Is this copy/pasted from the Romo thread?

Yes, but hard to know if it's not in large part due to Portugal sitting back after that early goal, much like the US last game.

After the goal Portugal started playing the counter. I think it's been pretty even.

We seem to be missing some driving runs. We want to pass through them rather than taking some runs at them.

My impression is Portugal watched Italy-England is wary of getting gassed. They are trying to have us expend more enerfy. It' strategic IMO.

Isn't JK's shtick having a team that is more fit than the opponents?

European players have also played a lot more games than most American players so that hopefully helps us.
