Seems like you are cherry picking a bit. Totally different sports don't see why this matters anyway. Why are you cherry picking??????????? Zlatan is 6' 5" 210.Welker is 5'9 185. Neymar is 5'9 142Wes Welker says "Hi."WR also outweigh these guys by 50 pounds.Possibly, but still, there's even 40 seconds between playsI think you have to compare soccer players to receivers
Yeah, this seems pretty obvious. A full contact sport like football generally requires more bulk. That will inevitably lead to less stamina.I'm not cherry picking. The point is, when you talk about people of equal height, football players are going to be heavier. You've proved my point with Zlatan being lighter than Johnson. If football players needed more stamina, Calvin wouldn't be 235+. He'd be closer to that 210.Why are you cherry picking??????????? Zlatan is 6' 5" 210.Welker is 5'9 185. Do you read what you are responding to? Gump said 50 pounds.I'm not cherry picking. The point is, when you talk about people of equal height, football players are going to be heavier. The point still stands. I took the actual weight as an off the cuff response but I'd say the average WR, all else being equal, probably weighs 30 pounds more than the equivalent sized soccer player. To the commercials?Glad y'all are having silly arguments instead of paying attention in here.
18 of the 33 WRs drafted this year were under 200. 4 were under 180.I was curious and did a quick look at the German roster and then the NFL combine from this year. Seemed that across the board NFL rookie WR was about 20 lbs heavier. Why do you guys keep saying this? Most NFL WRs are not bigger than most of the Germans. Some are. Some aren't. Not every WR is Calvin Johnson.NFL receivers are at least 20 lbs heavier than most of the Germans. Soccer players have there fair share of standing jogging around as well. Not the GermansWR also outweigh these guys by 50 pounds.Possibly, but still, there's even 40 seconds between playsI think you have to compare soccer players to receivers
That being said these guys are in amazing shape as you'd expect from a sport at this level.
Needed to watch the wires commercial for Direct TV again. So good.To the commercials?Glad y'all are having silly arguments instead of paying attention in here.

Now do the height comparison. Can I get you to do some research for my draft later after you are done.Do you read what you are responding to? Gump said 50 pounds.I'm not cherry picking. I believe they flip a coin to determine who takes the first penalty. Will they decide the World Cup final with penalty kicks or by flipping a coin?

Old saying around my house - never trust a balding guy with a braided rat tail the side of their head. The rat tail didn't help him there.
That rat tail will be gone the next time we see him, if they lose. The rat tail didn't help him there.
A German passed the ball to him.How was Higuin(spelling) not offsides on the 20 minute mark attempt that everyone is saying how he missed an opportunity?
B/c the German guy kicked it back to him. You can't be offsides if the other team kicks it.How was Higuin(spelling) not offsides on the 20 minute mark attempt that everyone is saying how he missed an opportunity?

I guess everyone likes their chances in PKs but not sure why we don't see more teams go for it in ET.Penalties would suck. I really hope someone scores here.
Article I read said goalie should just stand in the middle and stop those he can stop. Thinking was that when you dive, you only cover 1/9 of the goal whereas standing, you cover 1/3. You are also much more likely to stop shots down the middle when you guess right as opposed to actually stopping them when you dive.ESPN Sports Science - The Penalty Kick
tl;dw - Keepers are successful roughly 22% of the time.
An accompanying article in the magazine suggests that the keepers dive in the same direction every time, figuring they are bound to guess right eventually.
If only Neville Chamberlain had offered to play RSP with Hitler - he always threw paper."3...2...1... shoot!"[Referee] "I'm thinking of a number between one and ten.
