Looks like this Alamo Bowl corporate sponsorship is going to pay off. I can get blasted in the luxury box while the Longhorns are getting blasted on the field.

Alabama fans won't sell out the Super Dome after a disappointing loss? Will they get blasted like other teams that didn't sell out games in similar situations?
They'll get blasted as much as other fanbases did coming off 3/4 BCS Championships.
I think that makes it even worse. It just proves that teams travel when they win and don't travel when they lose. Alabama is no different.

Alabama fans will travel better to NOLA than they would have to Miami, but as a whole everyone is pretty traveled-out...and let down.

I'm going with about 10 college friends. Can't ever pass up a trip to NOLA. Will enjoy seeing OU play too.
Yep if Alabama had gone to Miami you could have fired a cannon off and not hit anyone in those upper levels. It won't be as bad in New Orleans but tickets will be easy to come by.

Love the folks at the Alamo Bowl. If you know anyone wanting to go set up in Tailgate Town there let me know. They give me a grill and sausages, etc. to tailgate with and offer me a spot there for all the tickets I buy but I am never there. Hate to see it go to waste but basically I just buy for the tickets.

They travel when they lose. The unique timing here is that the fanbase has spent more $ in the last 4 years than any in history most likely.

And we know how hard that is on them . . .

Guess who just scored two faculty tickets @ FACE VALUE to the national championship?

My dad gets 2 faculty as well. Since my wife will be quite pregnant I'm going out on my own. Probably tailgating with friends who should be there. I'll likely just pick up a single out there.

Really looking forward to the Oklahoma game. Still want some payback for those two regular season losses you guys put on us a decade or so ago.

Can't wait for 2014 and the playoff system, bummed about the Auburn loss, but ending things against Oklahoma in the Sugar isn't the worst thing in the world.

Some lines:

Michigan State +2 Stanford

Oklahoma +14 Alabama

Clemson +3 Ohio State

Auburn +8 Florida State

Sugar will be a sell out. Ohio State & Clemson fans should travel pretty well to Orange. Rose bowl will be a sell out for sure.

But the Fiesta Bowl is gonna be sad. 5k UCF fans make the trip tops. I'm not sure about the Baylor fan base, but I'm guessing not huge.

I love following this thread on Saturdays, but Tim and mop on the same page is just obscene.
And if you really hated it you would click us on ignore.

Don't get in my craw JB, I've let your BS schtick slide for years, I know who you really are but maybe we need to put a spotlight on it. You are a ##### thru and thru and no matter how many homeless you claim to feed on the holidays because you are all by your lonesome self isn't gonna change the fact of who you really are.

Your post had 0% to do with college football and everything with trying to be cool in front of your faux iFriends, just #### and watch the games, don't worry about what young Tim and I are doing.
:lmao:

What a night here in Indy last night. Had a blast.

B1G TEN CHAMPIONS !!!

What a year. Thanks Mark and the Spartan football team from Spartan Nation!!
Did you make it home before the overturned car and furniture fires died in the streets of East Lansing? Wouldn't want to miss a good Sparty riot, would you?

Alabama now -17

Stanford -3.5
Shark move, get Stanford -2 + Sparty at +4 (if it gets there). I'm sure most will be bored with this game, but I anxiously await the bloodbath.

By the way, anyone have a clue where the BW3 Bowl is even played? :bag:

With the time off, who will be helped more FSU or Auburn?

I'm thinking FSU. It will give them time to plan around the Auburn running attack. I'm not sure how much it will help. BC is the only team with a solid running attack FSU has faced all year and they put up 200 on the ground. Auburn just has so much. Momentum right now I think they'd win if the game was played this weekend. Given the break, I think that momentum fades.

Then again, Auburn could use the time to come up with some looks they haven't shown all year. Particularly in the passing game.

I agree that it should benefit FSU D the most.

I think it gives both teams the opportunity to lose their edge. I'm not crazy about Florida State's coaching and this spot may be too big for Auburn right now. Slow starter, definitely in the cards.

If this were purely matchup based, Florida State could hang 50 on them at half speed. Auburn's defense is horrendous. Since Auburn is so one dimensional offensively I think they can be contained by Florida State. They're better vs. the pass than the run, but I think their numbers are skewed because the ACC is just that bad at trying to pass the ball. Take away Mason, make Marshall beat them. He'll make some plays, but he'll need an A+ performance to keep them within striking distance if Mason is contained. Defensively for Florida State, keep is simple, just go man-to-man and bring the safety up except obvious passing downs. Make Marshall win with his arm. If he proves it and Auburn is hanging around at half, adjust accordingly.

My sense is that more time to prepare usually helps the more "intellectual" coaches- meaning, from all appearances, Malzahn.

I usually like the undercard bowls but a lot of these matchups are either really boring or will be total bloodbaths.

About the only non-BCS matchups I think will be interesting will be ASU/TT and WISC/SoCarolina.

As a local, I pre-bought tickets to the Gator Bowl and that could be dreadful. UGA, without Murray, going to a town they visit every year. They could very easily sleepwalk thru the game.

They're playing Nebraska, with a very blah offense.

And it's a rematch from last year's Outback Bowl.

SC vs. UM was in the Outback last year.

No kidding. Oregon vs. Texas? LSU vs. Iowa? Ugh.

I've seen very little of Virginia Tech this year- so I have no idea how they matchup against UCLA. I do think the Fresno State vs. USC game is intriguing.
