So if you guys know so damn much about college football how come none of you signed up for the FFA Fantasy college football league?

Don't be scared ladies.
Much like Mark Emmert, I don't care about anything outside the Big 5...other than a little USF and UCF.
I can watch UTEP play Nevada at 10:30 at night and be happy as a clam.
True...I don't know the players though. That league is ridiculously deep.

It's the reason I have Kaepernick on all of my fantasy teams. I probably watched him 8-10 times in college and didn't need any FF website to tell me to draft his ###.

The bigger problem I have is that I'm too drunk by the late night games to remember anything.

Seriously-- Try it one time. You'll be surprised at how much you enjoy the kid you picked up on a hunch going off for three receiving TDs in the MAC game of the week on a Wednesday night.

Anyone going to any good CFB games this season? I am either going to go to FSU vs ND or FSU vs Clemson. It's difficult to get away for a weekend, but I have to see Jameis play once.

At least one OU home game. But don't know which one yet. My big CFB trip is 2015 when OU heads to Knoxville.

Not sure if it would qualify as "good", but UMass is playing at Penn State, so I will be making my first trip to the Happy Valley on Sept. 20. I already got to visit the Big House for a road game back in 2010.

Hopefully South Bend next year, the Swamp in 2016.

Sure beats going to games at Rhode Island and Stony Brook.

Been planning since January...6 different locations lined up:

UF @ Bama (9-20)

Tenn @ UGA (9-27)

ND @ FSU (10-18)

Bama @ LSU (11-8)

CFP NOLA semi (1-1)

CFP Dallas Champ (1-12)

I love my job.

3 weekends in October.

10/4 - UF at Tennessee

10/11 - Penn State at Michigan

10/18 - Notre Dame at FSU

If I were anymore excited I would actually burst.

Nice. I need to get to a B1G game next year. Leaning to Nebraska.

I should be at the LSU Texas A&M game on thanksgiving.

Gameday in Lincoln is fun. Did it twice while I was at OU. It helped that OU won both games :football:

My brother went to the UCLA- Nebraska game at Lincoln last year. Told me it was the greatest venue he had ever been too- best atmosphere.

For point of reference, where else has he been?

I've never been to Lincoln.
Just about every Pac12 stadium, plus Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame.
Cool... that's a pretty nice resume. So no SEC stadium experience of which to compare?
Hasn't been there. Like me, he's a UCLA fan. In the past, outside of Tennesee, UCLA hasn't played too many SEC teams. I think that's supposed to change in the near future- the Bruins scheduled a series with Alabama in a few years.

Wow Gump, great season lined up! What was your job again? Great perk being able to secure tickets in the championship.

Cappy, what takes you up to Michigan?

My wife is actually from Ann Arbor. We are taking a two-week trip through Tennessee, Chicago, Michigan, Toronto and NYC.

Thx Quez...looking forward to Tally. I'm in apparel...recently moved from working in all leagues to college specifically...so I go to most college events, but not the others any more. A lot of my colleagues are in Minny for the ASG now. Sacrifice was well worth it!

Auburn QB Nick Marshall, who's primed for a big year, was 'cited' for marijuana possession yesterday. Won't be a big deal, but should add some spice to the SEC Media Days this week.

Will be going to all the SC home games and maybe a trip to Vandy.

A&M and UGA at home in the first 3 weeks is crazy.

You can chalk this up to a wish list item for me. How great would it be at some point in the not too distant future for all the big conference schools to have a 1-2 loss champion and an undefeated service academy team. I'd love to see Air Force or Navy sneak into the National Championship picture one year. It would make for a great story.

The only helmet grids I print out and hang by my desk are ACC & SEC. The first thing I do is outline the good games in red (most of them SEC). I love September!

CFP trophy teaser...'big' release tomorrow:

Interesting (and good news IMO)...the AFCA, who invented the trophy in '86, will still award the Crystal Football to the CFP Champ.Great that it's still alive, although it won't be awarded after the game...but instead at the winners stadium later.
That's good. That is likely to be a far better trophy than the Golden Dorito or whatever it is they announce today.

I'll be at the UCLA home games this year, which means I shall get to see the Bruins play Oregon and Stanford. Each of those contests should be important.

Going to find out quickly if this defense can overcome the losses from last year.
