A couple things -

This ND team looks good. Very unlike some of the fraudulent, high-win ND squads in recent years.

Jimbo is an ###. Stating his program does it the right way and is classy. Just say they worked hard, 60 minutes, etc.

That game really hurt a team like Michigan State.

Now ND is going to be ranked above them in the 1-loss team pecking order. They needed a ND win or an FSU blowout.

Donkey is ###'ed?

Time to focus on the ASU game on ESPN, I guess.

Stanford is getting shut out at half time. ASU is 91st in the country in points-allowed (31.4).

Serious question: what are the chances fsu ends up in vacating style trouble?
For what exactly?
That's what I'm asking. Winston has had a number of run ins. Any chance any of them impact the team in hindsight (last year or this year)?
Not based on anything presently out there.

Also I don't get the obsession on 'vacating wins'. Am I supposed to forget tonight and last January happened if so? FSU is the 2013 champs, I could give a #### what the NCAA ever has to say.

In no particular order, I would take these teams at 1 loss over ND:

FSU

Oregon

Auburn

Alabama

Ole Miss

Miss St.

Baylor

Georgia

TCU

That is assuming a ton but ND is going to finish without a signature win. @ASU is their best chance, that is a top 15 team at best.

Baylor and tcu are trash. Big 12 is fraud city.

How many TCU games have you seen this year? Zero or zero?

If they win out, they'll have wins over Stanford, ASU, and USC.

And, of course, there are tons of losses in that list you just gave (AUB/ALA, GA, TCU/Baylor, etc).

Oh that reminds me, put KSU in there as well.Sorry I just think you have to beat somebody to get in the playoff. ND just lost it's only chance at a very good win. It is also why any team from the Big Ten shouldnt even tune in for the selection show.

TCU & Baylor have already played

I'd make a wager that a 1 loss ND team gets in ahead of any 1 loss team that isn't from the SEC and that isn't named Oregon considering that there one loss was by 4 points to FSU on the road with a questionable finish.

Tend to agree. I'm a big Fab Five fan. Post hoc doesn't change much to me. Was just asking

What was questionable about it? If you are referring to the TWO ND players committing blatant picks then I am not sure what to tell you. Hell, Lou Holtz said it was the correct call.Big XII is much deeper than people want to admit. ND will boast wins against ASU, USC, and Stanford. That isn't a better resume than any of the teams from the Big XII would have assuming they end with 1 loss.

Will ND get in with 1 loss? Idk maybe, hell probably but they have done nothing to this point to deserve a high ranking. So help me if anyone says almost beating FSU is an accomplishment, losing is never a good thing. We aren't in pee wee anymore.

What hurts Michigan State is not being anywhere near national title caliber. They could maybe sneak into the playoff by winning a bad Big Ten, but it's not like they're gonna beat an SEC West team and FSU back-to-back.

Three. Garbage 90s WAC football on steroids in the big 12. How do I take tcu seriously after last week?

Its questionable b/c at that time of the game, that's a 50/50 call; that type of call doesn't get called every time in the middle of the game let alone at the 2nd to last play. The committee is going to be looking at ND and saying that they were that one call from being undefeated.
