I'm glad Oregon was able to tiptoe through their out of conference matchups of Georgia State and Eastern Washington (ranked #120 and unranked in the top 127 respectively). Not everyone can make it through those hornets nests.

Note: WKU is ranked #43.

Conveniently left out Michigan State...which is almost as tough as Syracuse. Awfully nice to have McNeese State cancelled...dodged a bullet there. Maybe Alabama's QB will get suspended for your game. Better to be lucky than good.

Why does GM hate LSU?
I don't. I just think McCaffrey is a better Heisman choice than Fournette; saying as much wads a bunch of panties.
You're like the guy that throws a cinder block in the middle of the freeway and then blames the drivers who get pissed about it."Why is everyone upset? It's just a concrete block." /GM
Sensitive little artiste you are, JoeT. LSU is pretty. Fournette is good. There there.

Lotta runway left in the season, UH. McCaffrey beaks Sanders' record, he will put himself in position.
Agreed and no dissent from me. I do think that, once the media locks in on someone, it's really really hard to get them off of that horse.
Doing my part to raise awareness. :bowtie:
For my part, I'll pay more attention to McCaffrey going forward. Leonard Fournette is a heathen hell beast, though

Christian McCaffrey should be ahead of everybody else now in the Heisman race. Something like 300 more all purpose yards last night against a tougher opponent than Western Kentucky.
Okay LHUCKS
Sorry, silly me. I thought the Heisman had more than one candidate and a vote. Has Fournette broken the elusive 5 reception barrier yet this year?
You have more posts about LSU vs Western Ky than you do in support of McCaffery. You're clearly trying to put Fournette down but you're also clearly ignorant if you don't think Fournette plays great defenses throughout the year. Especially compared to the crap defenses the Pac-12 puts out there too. And you historically have a woody for all things Pac-12 so yeah LHUCKS. If the shoe fits.
Pretty sure Washington and USC have better defenses than Auburn and South Carolina, fella.
More stinky bait, fella

And Rambling Reck, congrats on your team's 3rd or 4th win on the season. Florida State's a pretty good little football team. Well, when they aren't getting abused by Oregon. :P
Oregon's half decade run was nice when Chip Kelly and Nike were buying recruits. Oregon ain't #### on Georgia Tech historically though.

Anything else you want to make an ### of yourself about today?

Sorry, I wasn't alive when Georgia Tech was relevant and if I was, I don't remember it at all. You certainly know about Oregon's success though. You guys figured out the forward pass yet?

Not sure if it was mentioned yesterday, but Paul Johnson was waiving his team away from the blocked FG so no one would touch it. lol

Hold on a second....Georgia Tech fan is calling out Oregon for NCAA infractions (buying playe

We should have received the death penalty because Thomas took stuff from a former teammate. You got me, jackass
Wow...three curse words directed towards me in one morning? I thought Georgia Tech grads were smart enough to get their point across without cursing. Maybe you are the exception. What a little baby.

You weren't alive when they won the title in 1990? I guess that would put you in that Oregon fan demographic of early 20s.

I remember the Colorado Buffaloes winning in 1990.

Fournette has more total offensive yards in the same number of games and his rushing average is a yard and a half better than McCaffery's.

McCaffery catching 21 passes to Fournette's 7 doesn't really seem like enough to make up the difference.

Again: first in the NCAA in all-purpose yards. On pace to surpass Barry Sanders' record. Fournette is a beast. He will likely win the Heisman. Odds on favorite. But I think McCaffrey has emerged to be in the conversation. Especially if he breaks the record. Is that okay to say?

Think he lives in or near Atlanta.

GT won the coaches poll in '90

I was just making the counter-argument.

I do indeed. Colorado claiming half was BS having lost a game and getting the 5th down in another.

I actually grew up a GT fan before attending Clemson.

You spend your weekend crying about Western Ky and call someone else a baby? That's rich.

Did Oregon even play this weekend? I honestly don't know because they've become irrelevant in one season with their FCS quarterback. Or you a Stanford fan now?

:lmao: Oregon has a better record than your crappy program. Might even get to a bowl game if they win some more games with their FCS QB who is light years better than any QB Georgia Tech has had. Big ups for not using curse words...maybe you're growing up?

It's all moot since Zeke will win the Heisman. He is a beast carrying the ball, but is also a great receiver out of the backfield and blocks very well.

Exactly.....Zeke, Henry, Fournette, Cooks, Freeman, the RB from ND. They are all the same player. Tremendous top tier RBs. Interchangeable.

Christian McCaffrey is different. He does it all. That Barry Sanders' AP Yards record is almost 30 years old. McCaffrey breaks it, Heisman is his.

Nick Chubbs prior to the injury. Samaje Perine?

There needs to be a conversation about the Heisman. McCaffrey deserves to be in it, but there is not one coach in the history of ever that would not take Fournette above all of those guys.Heisman is not a ppr league either.

The back that gets it will be the one that has the best games in November against the rivals and championship games. That said, I think Zeke has the advantage of having a monster playoff run, which since it is after the ceremony, feels like part of this campaign. Plus, like it or not, it's really more of a great job on a great career award instead of one season. See Ron Dayne.

It's also not a "who would make the best NFL player award" either. See Smith, Troy and Torretta, Weurful, and Jason White amongst many other Heisman winners who were never even really considered by the NFL.
