Abdullah is a great talent, and he has a good head on his shoulders. Will give everything on and off the field. Unfortunately, I don't think he has the durability to be a bell cow in the NFL. I'd love to see him play for 10 years in the NFL, but I wouldn't bet the mortgage.

That's probably what they're intending right now, but I'd wager on Bell seeing the bench more and more as Abdullah's career goes on. He is a but undersized, but he's no slouch between the tackles and has been a workhorse back the last 3 years at Nebraska. He's very strong for his size (24 BP reps at 205lbs) and has top shelf (even for the NFL) agility numbers. Don't underestimate him.

Not the first time I've heard that comparison, or other all-time great comparisons. Matt Waldman compared him to a cross between Barry Sanders and DeAngelo Williams, I believe. I think he has some similarities to Emmitt Smith, personally (very low pad level running style, incredible leg strength, great vision).

Depends on who is running the show. Undersized for one team is a bell cow RB for another. Frank Gore is 5-9" 217. Ray Rice is 5'9" 212 or so. Some teams think that is undersized.

They just picked up Floyds option.

They have to get a RB... but it doesnt have to be at the expense of Eliington at all. You need a couple options in todays NFL.

They still have a chance to draft one for the stable in the next couple rounds.

Even as a joe Randle owner I am skeptical

Then you are a smart Randle owner. He doesnt have anything owed to him or gifted to him. But he is in a prime position right now.

There could still be a trade for another RB or a higher draft pick, but currently those two have arrows pointing way up.
