I don't have a lot to say, beyond the fact that it should be a brutal election cycle for Republicans. That said, chin-up Republicans, the Democratic party can #### this up, and probably will.

My smart-### comments aside, please try keep the commentary focused on 2018 elections, and to a lesser extent, Democratic presidential candidates that will eventually emerge in its wake. Honest to god, I expect Oprah to throw her hat into the ring - and win.

The democrat party is a regional party.  They control the west coast and the northeast.  They might win big in those areas but struggle everywhere else.  I don't see any reason why the great lakes region would ever run back to the democrats.  The democrats loudly signal every day they hate the type of people that live in the great lakes area.

The democrats are eternal optimists I suppose.  They lost to Donald Trump.  They lost the entire government.  They lost the great lakes states in a huge collapse.  

But hey, they were kinda close in a Kansas special election....

The democrats a regional party.  An increasing number of whites think the democrat party is racist against white people.  They aren't going to ever go back to the democrats.  

The democrat party may have one final gasp somewhere.  Maybe they win the Senate in 2018.  Maybe at some point they have 1 more president.  But far too many voters view the democrat party as an unacceptable choice.
