Jim....John has gone on record saying he shouldn't be considered.B-Deep said:which harbaugh? The Commish said:Everything I've read seems to be they are all in trying to get Harbaugh and don't really have a plan B. However, people are confident Les Miles would take the job if offered, but age is a significant concern.
had not heard that, though i thought jim made more sense anywayJim....John has gone on record saying he shouldn't be considered.B-Deep said:which harbaugh? The Commish said:Everything I've read seems to be they are all in trying to get Harbaugh and don't really have a plan B. NarduzziGo after Harbaugh.
After that make a list of the five best youngish coordinators in college football, and interview that kind of guy. No more BS, do it right this time.
Or Tom Herman, just get the best guy and not some "Michigan man" like last time. Looking back Richrod was the right idea, just not the right guy at the time. But going from one big name to the next is just dumb, get a hungry guy who has never had his own program.NarduzziGo after Harbaugh.

Well since I don't believe you've ever been right before, let's hope it's not Narduzzi.I'd rather have a guy that's coached before than just a coordinator. Narduzzi may be an exception.
so we are back to you being a tool.Got it.Well since I don't believe you've ever been right before, let's hope it's not Narduzzi.I'd rather have a guy that's coached before than just a coordinator. Narduzzi may be an exception.
I hope those kids you teach in home room ignore you like we all do in here.so we are back to you being a tool.Got it.Well since I don't believe you've ever been right before, let's hope it's not Narduzzi.I'd rather have a guy that's coached before than just a coordinator. Which current head coach is gonna be the next Nick Saban? So which coordinator is going to be the next Chip Kelly?
Hackett said today to get rid of the "Michigan Man" saying for good. Actually like Hackett. Then again Hoke had a good first presser.Or Tom Herman, just get the best guy and not some "Michigan man" like last time. Looking back Richrod was the right idea, just not the right guy at the time. I think Dave Clausen will be a good one if he is given time. Has needed a few years at each stop, but patience has led to success. Great program builder.Which current head coach is gonna be the next Nick Saban? So which coordinator is going to be the next Chip Kelly?![]()
Already listed a few, here are some more:Good job avoiding the question btw. Can't ever be wrong if you don't answer in the first place. Hind sight is always right.
No, they'll be about as good as your Clausen. Or maybe they won't, we simply have no idea. That's why your initial statement is patently flawed. So all five of those coordinators will be great coaches at a top level d1 school. Why?
right, we always figure it out after the fact when it's easy and safe to make guesses. You don't like to because you're afraid to be wrong. I do because I am not afraid to be wrong. Running a program is completely different than running a component of it. Can you run a program if you can run one department? Sure. Go prove it at a smaller company and then we'll consider it at a larger one.No, they'll be about as good as your Clausen. Or maybe they won't, we simply have no idea. That's why your initial statement is patently flawed. Even though you are never right, for some reason you always think you know it all.So all five of those coordinators will be great coaches at a top level d1 school. Why?

Betting on someone who has successfully administered a program before is a better bet than someone who hasn't.
The phrase, "those who can't, teach" was pretty much created with you in mind. Can't and won't aren't the same thing. If you would like to learn the difference there are some remedial classes at school you may qualify for.
They tried that with HokeOr Tom Herman, just get the best guy and not some "Michigan man" like last time. Looking back Richrod was the right idea, just not the right guy at the time. RR wasn't around long enough to see if he had the right idea or not. What was clear was his ideas on defense were NOT correct and weren't going to work. If we are to believe Hackett, he's on the right track. Actions will speak louder than words though. I hope he really follows through on what he said.Or Tom Herman, just get the best guy and not some "Michigan man" like last time. They have to do it correctlyI haven't heard these "reports" about "struggling". It's day one of the search and I'm absolutely confident the ball was set in motion well before yesterday's announcement. With that said, one of the "big three" recruits decommitted when the announcement came out yesterday. TE Clark is no longer in the mix. They need to resolve this quickly...down to 6 recruits for this class....one a legacy, another a kicker.
I get that...correctly and quickly aren't mutually exclusive though. Part of me believes the wheels were set in motion some weeks ago and they are well down the path. It'd be interesting to see how a Harbaugh kind of personality would treat those players who bailed. Would he try to pick up their recruiting again? They have to do it correctlyI haven't heard these "reports" about "struggling". if they go quick and get the wrong guy it hurts not only this class but future ones as well
