i have seen everything
This Signing of the Stars production is absolutely amazing, groundbreaking, incredible.
I have a friend who is there and said the kids are having a blast.
it looks fun, which is important
Very strange that they didn't announce Gary. They teed it up for him, he said he got good news from the guys behind the stage or whatever, then didn't mention it.....did he forget?

I'm not sure

it kind of seems like maybe he was not allowed to or something

He either got distracted or maybe it was because he (or Michigan) hadn't seen the paperwork. Whatever happened it was strange, I was waiting for the announcement and the place to just erupt, kinda anti-climactic, but the entire production was just awesome and we'll be seeing these at many more schools.

Imagine what Harbaugh could do if he remotely liked recruiting :hophead:

I think we can assume he can close. Bright things ahead for sure.

Unbelievable haul. 'Signing of the Stars' was a massive success, and keeps our name at the forefront. Harbaugh has far surpassed my expectations in only a single year. I truly hope he sticks around for a very long time, and doesn't bolt back to the NFL in 3-4 years.

For those that know such things: What impact will this have on the fall season? I assume the answer is 'positive, but not much.' I'm curious to hear, though.

Guessing he means what impact will the true freshman class have on your season.

I'll only speak about the NJ guys. Gary will be a monster from day one. The others will likely take some time.

Here are parts of this story.  Pretty funny.

As a neuroscientist, I always find it curious when the thinking and emotional parts of the brain clash.  For example, NCAA president Mark Emmert expressed concern about Harbaugh encroaching on players’ off time. However, by practicing during spring break, Michigan will have one less week of practice during the spring semester, meaning more time for academic study. Funny the thinking part of Emmert’s brain missed that, especially considering how much the NCAA insists college football players are amateur “student-athletes.” If that’s the case then that extra week is a great thing for the student athlete, because education would matter most. Yet, the NCAA didn’t applaud this… hmmm.

Harbaugh’s actions come from the Prefrontal cortex (thinking part of the brain), and sadly, the SEC’s response is subcortical and comes from the old mammal brain, which is easily sustained with brief neurochemical rewards like winning a football game, without thinking or truly caring about the athletes involved, and the big picture - preparing an individual to thrive in society.

This team could be really good if they can get competent QB play.  WR/TE are the best they've had in quite a while.  RB is very deep, I'm not sure what happened with Isaac last year, but he looked good at the beginning of the year and it sound like he's having a good spring.  Veteran OL and a very good DL and Secondary.

Anyone watch the spring game?  Fall can't get here fast enough for me.
Yessir, the thing that stood out to me is how much more depth there is this year.  Speight looked good pretty much without the top 2 WR playing.  Pulling for him to win the job, so it could be the same QB for more than a year.  O'Korn is in too much of a hurry to scramble for my tastes.  Just like at Stanford, Harbaugh has an endless supply of TEs, can't wait for the 4 TE sets.

I forgot they had a football team.  They are apparently trying to drum up interest, but seeing half the kids on the team are from NJ they should just paint the place maize and blue and avoid getting maized out at their own place.
Look, as a Rutgers fan I'm certainly not going to talk ####, and I know they're different teams...but kind of a strange statement since you lost there a couple years ago, no?

:goodposting:

Michigan just needs to put its collective head down and get to work. As Harbaugh is doing.

"I would be surprised if Ohio State wins 9 games" - @DannySheridan1
I think he is WAY underestimating OSU's talent. Yea they lost a ton, but they fill them in with all 5 stars. They have a really tough game early at OU. But by the time they play MSU and Michigan, they are going to be really, really good.

10-2

11-1, loss at OU and then they run through the B1G this year.
