***Official 2020 Michigan Football*** (2 Viewers)

For whatever reason Vegas is not buying it. Spread is down to 10 despite being at home and having won every game by more than that.

I really hope that a decent QB is on the horizon. Mccaffery? Anyone? We have absolutely nothing good at that position right now

No idea how one has 5 turnovers and is within a score...boggles the mind how bad that game was.  I still have a man crush on Dan Brown.  Adjustments are unreal with that guy.  Told my son the only question of the second half was if Michigan could score 12 points.  They couldn't :bag:

As bad as the interceptions were (forced passes in a driving rain - ugh), the fumble late in the first half probably cost us three points that would have been critical for the final drive.

It was bound to happen.  The offense is just abysmal.  It is surprising that Harbaugh can't find a QB, not that this was entirely on O'Korn,

He got rattled...you could see the frustration pouring out of him.  That's on him.  What's not on him is the offensive play calling.  It was even more pronounced as they were trying to throw the ball down field in the Tsunami.  They showed early that they could run the ball.  They showed half way through the second half that they could run the ball.  There's no reason O'Korn needs to be anything other than a game manager at this point.  They seemed to bail on their identity.  It was very bizarre.

Yeah.  It felt like they wanted that dagger shot and threw the game away going for it instead of the 3 yards and a cloud of dust.  It just seems odd that he hasn't found a guy by this point.  Hopefully McCaffrey can be him, but Harbaugh seems fixated on the experienced but mediocre over giving a younger, more upside, kid a shot.

Which is odd given his approach with Kaep.  I figure if he can get Kaep in a position to compete for a SB, he can do damn near anything, but maybe I am wrong

After that first drive I was excited to see them actually commit to the run, then they got to the 10 and quit.....then the proceeded to throw 7 consecutive times.  So aggravating.

It's on the O-line as well.  O'Korn just couldn't get settled into any semblance of a pocket.  But in the monsoon, he should have been smart enough to tuck the ball and just rush for a few yards.  The D would have had a hard time changing direction in that storm.  I liked many of his passes and the way he continued to look downfield while scrambling.  He just needed to make better decisions and not try to win the game by himself.

The Tarik Black injury was a massive blow to this offense.  Mike McCray was consistantly put in positions to fail as Don Brown kept having him cover Barkley, which was infuruating.  He was also creeping up a lot instead of playing deeper to take away the slant.  Most of the plays that they made were pretty obvious.  If McCray covers..throw at him...If Kinnel covers throw at him...If Bush over pursues...QB run.

Offenively they were just as frustrating.  Crawford and Schoenle scare no one.  Having them be the only WR’s on the route is useless.  Against Indiana you can get away with 2 TE’s and a fullback, but against talented teams you just make their lives easier.  The play action on 4th and 11 was just awesome.

Hopefully Eubanks gets back because the rest of the TE’s have no speed.  The Asiasi transfer was a crushing blow.  DPJ should be on the field ad much as possible because he is the only one that puts any fear into defenses.

It would be nice to see Peters.  Putting him in now would increase the chances of being better next year and maybe this year.  Winning with the young guy would also be better for recruiting.

Inexperience finally showed in a big way on defense.  We knew matchups were going to be an issue, but that was pretty bad.  I felt like O'Korn made improvements, but I agree that the WRs don't scare anyone.  I thought for sure Bush would be asked to float out into coverage on Barkley.  The last person I figured they'd have doing that was McCray.  He's just not fast enough.  However, I feel there was stubbornness on defense not to play a lot more zone.  I didn't understand that either.

Sadly, this was actually better. Penn St is just that much better right now.
I agree, they have been basically the same team all year, the results have been dependent on the quality of opposition. We were hoping they would improve as they went along but that obviously never happened.

Peters was at least making passes that are made in every backyard game every weekend, but not made by Speight and O’Korn this year.

It was nice to see passes caught by our own team.....I'm really starting to hate all the substitutions on offense.  Seems like they're swapping out 4 players every play.  Hard for their RBs to build any momentum against a team that isn't Rutgers.

I don't mind Peters' play at all.  He's managing the game and I don't have to get on the edge of my seat wondering if an INT is coming every time he throws the ball.  Done wonders for my BP

Had to watch on tape delay.....any update on Peters? I liked the way he was playing.  I do see a future there...hopefully he'll be ok.

Hey guys, long time no see!! I am not even sure any of ya'll will remember me but I was just wondering where you guys stood on Harbaugh. Obviously he can recruit but I am guessing you can't be 100% pleased with the results on the field at this point, right?

We knew that Michigan wasn't truly going to contend this season, with 11 players going to the NFL and nobody fun at QB. He'll be fine.

I will continue to stick with my 5 year rule for any coach.  Yes, I was even willing to extend that to RRod even though I knew he wasn't going to do anything about the defense.  He has two and a half recruiting classes in place.  I'm looking forward to see if he can get the offense to "reload" status like he did with the defense.  Not there yet.  I'd really like to see a focus on offensive line the next couple of classes.

Anyone hear any updates on Peters?

In addition to the 2 posts above, I'll say the same thing I say about the Lions QB situation. Who are you going to get that's any better to come here? The very top guys are staying where they are and going with anyone else would be a total crapshoot. Might as well ride it out.

Harbaugh said it was up to the doctors, but it seems like he might be good to go.  Will have to pass the protocol and practice Wed/Thurs.

So....was it concussion?

So....was it concussion?
Yes.

Harbaugh said if Peters is free of symptoms, he has to do cardio and lifting and then see if symptoms are there the next day. Once that happens, he'd be allowed to practice without contact. Could happen as early as Wednesday.

Biggest disappointment for me with Harbaugh so far is the inability to find/develop a good QB.
Jake Rudock was OK.

I'd argue that the combination of poor play of the line and the WRs is a much bigger problem than the QB play this year.

Hard to get a good rhythm when you're constantly ducking out of the pocket.

That hit by Wisconsin was just not nice.  Instead of simply finishing the tackle, he deliberately drove his body down on Peters.
