Peters should have been playing as soon a Speight went down to gain experience.  Hope that late hit does not do him in.

As far as the team goes this was about what I was expecting when you lose 17 of 22 starters. Was hoping for better but they are very young.

Thought Donavon Jones would be a little better but again he is only a freshman.

Agree on all accounts.  DPJ never should have been placed in this situation as a true freshman. In no way should we have expected him to do anything other than return kicks and make 3 or 4 splash plays over the course of the season. The biggest issue this team has had since Carr left is a complete lack of game changing talent at RB and WR. Michigan used to churn out playmakers: Howard, Braylon, Toomer, Manningham, Avant,Breaston, Walker, Terrell, Alexander, Wheatley, Perry, Tim B, A-Train, Hart. It sure has been awhile since Michigan has had any skill players of that quality (other than Denard who was completely out of position).

The Asiasi transfer was a killer.  I think next year we will see the talent at WR.  Tarik Black looked legit until he got hurt.  None of that matters unless they can get the pass blocking fixed.

I've read that Peters has cleared the concussion protocol.  John U Bacon seems to believe he will play.  As a fan I hope this is true, but as a realist, I don't think this is a wise choice to put him in the line of fire like that.  If the defense stays disciplined early they have a chance to keep it close to the half, but if the offense plays like they have been, then the defense will get tired and the route will start.

For Michigan to win they will probably need a special teams gem and the defense to get big turnovers.  Michigan will have to run its goal line offense effectively and be able to get the QB enough time, before he gets crushed, to find a TE to get open and hit DPJ for once on those 1v1 shots.  They will also need to get actual holding calls in their favor.  I am not sure there has been a team that gets as much pressure and tackles for losses without getting holding calls as this one.  I think they have only run like 5 plays all year, so there should be a plethora of plays if they can actually pick up a blitz.  One can dream.

Nice that some ###### with a camera purposely collided with JT prior to the game - first reports are that it was to intentionally hurt him ...and it did.

Classy.

O`Korn is a third string QB at best.    The 4th down play late when they still had a chance to win was one of the worst passes I have ever seen.  Evans came out of the backfield and had nobody near him and O`Korn threw a pass that Jimmy Graham on stilts could not have caught.

The dropped INT on the second drive was huge as well.  The game was there to win but with O`Korn it was impossible.

Mo Hurst is not happy today.  Bosa won Big10 lineman of the year.  Hurst is, per PFF College, the highest-graded defensive player in college football.

N. Bosa: 28 tackles, 12.5 TFL, 6 sacks

Winovich: 74 tackles, 17 TFL, 8 sacks

R. Gary: 62 tackles, 11 TFL, 5 sacks

M. Hurst: 59 tackles, 13.5 TFL, 5 sacks

I'm with you there, not so much with your video conspiracy theories.  Bosa also was hit with a targeting call, which should be a slight ding in the end.

Saw Coach D comments on continuing to "focus" on how "he" can beat Michigan. Congrats on turning around a 3-9 team, plagued with off field issues. Good for BIG to have him back.

Zing!

Ole Miss is moving to Michigan

Likely to commit

5* QB Shea Patterson

https://youtu.be/SFmvFPiZB4A

4* S Deontay Anderson

4* WR Van Jefferson

Rashan Gary's mom said 5* LT Greg Little isn't coming, but he would have filled the biggest need.  A bunch of the players are looking to sue the NCAA if they aren't granted the ability to immediately start.

Other Possiblities

4* OLB Breon Dixon

4* T Bryce Mathews

4* TE Jacob Mathis

The best thing is that it wasn't Harbaugh that started it.

Seriously....WTF is this all about?

If you get Patterson, what effect does that have on the guys (McCaffrey, Peters, and Milton) that thought they would be competing for a starting job next year? do any of them transfer?

Kick them to the curb.

Harbs seems a little desperate

I doubt either of them leave honestly.  McCaffrey will be in position to take over the QB reins as a redshirt junior and Peters is now the main backup and if I'm in his shoes I would still feel like I can compete for the #1 job.

Almost everyone signed today.  There is some talent, but overall it feels like there are a lot more guys with potential to help in 2020 rather than 2018/2019.  3 guys are still uncommitted, Otis Reese, Kevin Doyle, and Ronnie Bell.  Otis has been committed since 2016, but my guess is that he ends up as apart of a monster Georgia group.  The other two could flip somewhere too.  If they didn't sign today it probably means they are still looking.

Of the commits that we need to be great sooner is 4* OT Jalen Mayfield.  Overall it feels like a step backward.  2019 is supposed to be great, but it appears as if there were a lot of recruiting misses this year.

Devastating recruiting losses today.  Nicholas Petit-Frere was on the radar for 2 years and went to OSU after one visit.  Otis Reese, as I predicted, went to Georgia and man that is a beast of a haul for Georgia.  We did get Ronnie Bell, 3* WR, he was a basketball commit at Missouri State.  There are reports that Jim McElwain will join the staff in place of the departed Dan Enos.

The season could ride with the decision by the NCAA on Shea Patterson.  Peters may improve, but with Patterson's experience and mobility, they may be able to hide some deficiencies.  Overall it's just a bad day in recruiting.  Georgia got as many 5*'s as Michigan got 4*'s with 7.
