*** Official 2022 PGA Tour Thread - Memorial Tournament, LIV list leaked- It's all Paulina's Fault **** (1 Viewer)

on a serious note, the 4th member is a good debate, right?

3 wins: Jimmy Demaret, Sam Snead, Gary Player, Nick Faldo, Phil Mickelson

4 wins: Arnie
5 wins: Tiger
6 wins: Jack
Bobby Jones. He was a founder, the co-architect and the reason why the amateur golfer has been and always will be a part of The Masters.

Awesome! I was there on Monday as well. Fantastic time and great weather. I avoided the Tiger craziness in the afternoon but did get to see 4 golfers all skip across the 16th pond at  the same time. It was so cool. Food was great and I really liked the Crow's Nest beer even though I generally don't love wheat beers.
Yea we saw the skips too. One of the older golfers, I want to say Mize. That was awesome. I agree, crow’s nest was fantastic. Caught a break with the weather too - Tuesday must have been a huge bummer.

I told my wife we were setting aside the money to do a weekend next year and she said hell yea we are so that’s a win.

Was surprised at how meh the actual city of Augusta is. Chain heaven.

Yeah, the city would be nothing without the course. Just crappy strip malls and chains everywhere.

Definitely do a weekend if you can. Tournament days are even better. More intense, more roars. I was there on Easter Sunday in 2009 to see Cabrera win in the playoff and it was awesome. Just get your chairs where you want as soon as you get in (Amen Corner, 15/16 or 18, IMO) and then enjoy the course and come back to your chair when you want. And hit the merchandise tent early. They start running out of stuff on Sunday. Not sure if you were in there this Monday around 9am but it was a freaking zoo. Just amazing.

Yes the merchandise store did not get the day off to a good start. We were in there at 820 Monday and it was literally shoulder to shoulder where you couldn’t move. Didn’t love it. If we go back I don’t need to spend that kind of money again so it’ll be fine. I don’t need some dumb knome, but my corkcicle cup with the old masters tickets on it is super cool. Really like that and I got the poster they sell that I’ll frame with my ticket.

I think for a first-timer going on a practice day was perfect. We got hundreds of photos all st the iconic spots, including a lot of my son having fun which is pretty memorable. We’d leave him at home for the weekend next year but I’m super glad we took him. And yesterday while watching the par-3 he yelled “we went to the masters!”

Due to thunderstorms in the early morning hours Thursday, gate openings and tee times will be delayed by 30 minutes.

Ticketing gates will open at 7:30 a.m. In addition, the Honorary Starters Ceremony will take place at 8:15 a.m., followed by the first tee time at 8:30 a.m.
Tiger’s revised Tee Time is 11:04

TW with 3 golf shots and 2 putts for par on 2 ;)
Hard to believe we’ve got groups halfway through the back 9 and (-1) is still leading

bodes well for Tiger IMO - he’s more likely to contend when it’s playing very tough than when needing to go low

that shelf is brutal

Higgo landed in the bunker, didn’t get up there on his blast out (rolled way left), had his first putt tricklse straight back to his fewt, rammed home a 40 footer for a bogey
Padraig saved par from way downtown on his putt

It's taking Scott a bit of time for his drop in the gallery because all the patrons sitting there are approximately 85 years old

legit yelled from my couch when that ball landed on 6
it’s just so much more fun when Tiger is playing

huge golf stan so obviously gonna watch anyway but he’s the most enjoyable golfer to watch ever

(49 years as a player/fan)

Phil is close but also not really lol

Arnold was before my time, Jack for the most part ground everybody down - amazing career but just different level of excitement

Johnny Miller 1973-74 and Greg Norman at his peak were super fun

but obviously way short on actual career accomplishments

that was a funny story earlier about Charlie playing his first round at ANGC

”hey Dad is this one left edge?”

No….it’s three feet outside the hole.
