well that was as complete a half as we have seen maybe all cycle. I was shocked to see Wales cede so much possession. Obviously second half will be different as Wales has to come out of shell.

The US recovery of the second ball in the first half was so friggan good. I can't think of a single player who played poorly (which with our time in qualifying, we know how rare that is).

I think he could afford to sit Wes with Aaronson or Gio available. I’m not comfortable enough with Scally or Yedlin to sit Dest, who has shown some indications of sauce impending.

Based on recent play, I wasn't expecting anything like that at all. Even the style of play is different. Not predictable. Almost like they've just been ****ing around these last few months to make it look bad on purpose.

If we play like this for however many games we remain in this tournament, I'll be happy. Seriously been waiting for THIS for a long time. Fun to watch.

So much of the ball control has been those 2, it'd be hard to take them out.

Totally agree and I don’t want to sub them but a red early in the 2nd half would be devastating. We have Gio for Snacks - do we trust Scally?

Yeah Dempsey giving the old you can't score if you don't put in goal analysis, but that's a good effort from that angle to me.

I am absolutely shocked at how Wales approached this first half.

I want to hope it was the US that forced it but it almost feels like this was their intent to hope to do a smash a grab. I don't think any WC opponent ever has ceded possession to us.
