I’m going skiing tomorrow. I’m in the Midwest with a cellphone so of course i should still be able to make my picks

Your Oakland Athletics
Your Stockton/Modesto A’s

First 1000 kids under 12 receive Chrystal meth shard!

The move to Vegas can't come soon enough. I can't wait to catch a full 3 or 4 game Rangers road trip right on the strip.
I’m not sure that’s what is gonna happen. It’s the A’s, who knows. They need to get out of that hell hole the play in, that much everyone can agree on.

Probably told this story before but now that we're all officially old and have been drafting together for TWENTY years in this stupid thing, I'm sure we'll re-tell the same stories.....

23 year old GM was an auditor for Case Credit/Tractors and Ag. First trip to the Bay Area in my entire life (first time to Cali period) and I'm staying in the Best Western in Oakland, hitting tractor dealerships in lovely areas like Hayward, Santa Rosa and the home of John Steinbeck, Salinas, CA! Not sure what I pictured these choice locations to look like, but I assure you the palm-tree, warm-weather, short-shorts wearing blondes roaming everywhere that I envisioned them to be were, in fact, not what they actually turned out to be. Holy dumpsville, Batman.

After a long day navigating a level of traffic congestion the likes of which I'd never seen, I was exhausted by the time I got back to my hotel. Famished, I realized that I was very close to the Oakland Coliseum, home of the As and figured "There's gotta be some great restaurants around the ballpark, right?". WRONG! WRONG!!!!! I hopped in my aqua blue rented Ford Explorer and went for a drive towards the Coliseum, didn't spot anything right off the bat, so I thought "hell, I'll just drive up this hill a ways, there's GOTTA be something around here, right? People love to eat before and after a game". Nope. As I wound my way up the crooked hill, the street got smaller and the area got a little less......friendly looking.

Pretty soon, I felt like I was going to end up in the newspaper for all the wrong reasons if I didn't turn the rig around and exit out of there quickly. You know that scene in Vacation where Clark rolls the Truckster to a neighborhood in St. Louis and gets surrounded by a crew that offers to help him for $$$ and steals his hubcaps in the process? That's what I encountered and probably ran a few stop signs getting out of there as fast as I could.

I've been a few stadiums, ball parks, etc in my life - Churchill Downs in Louisville has some shady areas around it. But nothing in the US comes close to the sketchiness and fear I felt getting lost around Oakland Coliseum.
