Rays only 6 back of the Yanks 👀
Yankees organization is an absolute **** show. The fact that they keep playing IKF who is a horrendous fielder and even worse hitter at SS when they could've signed Correa or Seager is mind boggling. Then they have a stud SS prospect tearing up AAA who is also a phenomenal fielder in Peraza and they refuse to call him up. They prospect hug by not trading Peraza for Castillo settling for **** Montas instead and then refuse to call the guy up.

A small part of me hopes the Yankees blow the 15 game lead so that the entire organization cleans house from Cashman to Boone but Hal wouldn't even do that probably.
Us Twins fans thank you for this. You took Donaldson along with IKF and while Urshela isn't a world beater at 3B by the Grading standards they use to measure fielding, he has definitely passed the eye test.

IKF!!!!!!!!!!

The twins should be embarrassed at how they play the Yankees. Just saw 2-24 in their last 26 against them. That’s a pro team. Crazy.

A) Implementing all these new rules that fundamentally change the game all at once is insane

B) The broadcasts on Apple tv+ are horrendous and so incredibly unprofessional

Yea pitch clocks sounds amazing. Batters need to stay in the box too, tighten up your gloves and scratch your balls in the dugout if you need to.
Get rid of walk up songs (or at least the batters waiting until their song is done) and limit the time between innings to 90 seconds at most. This will also help. The problem is that really cuts into the advertising time (money) so this will never happen.

I think they have done this. I used to be able to time my chores between innings (watering and stuff outside) and it's definitely shorter this year.

They reduced it in 2016

The time between innings and pitching changes is 2 minutes, 5 seconds for local broadcasts, 2 minutes, 25 seconds for nationally televised games and 2 minutes, 55 seconds for tiebreaker and postseason games.

It can be reduced even more. The players don't need more than 90 seconds and there are other ways to get advertising in. Every little bit helps.

I’m having a really hard time believing this is correct, but the Phillies broadcast just said that Acuna’s throw home from the warning track was clocked at 105.8 MPH. I mean, if it’s true, that’d have to be some kind of record, right? That would be completely insane.

F the White Sox. Last night was the biggest game of the year with their Cy Young candidate on the mound at home. Couldn't find a way to win.

Congrats to Cleveland. You guys have a solid team top to bottom.

They have been a fun team to watch. They never quit and hustle on every play.

This years Cleveland team reminds me a lot of the Twins Ozzie Guillen used to call "The Piranhas" They aren't anything spectacular, but they do all of the little things right and are aggressive ball team. As much as I hate to say it, they deserve to win the division this year.

Such a disappointing White Sox team from the beginning. I kept my optimism most of the year but in reality, I knew that deep-down, the miracles they needed weren't going to happen. There were bits and spurts of what they could have been, but absolutely zero consistency when they needed it.

They had tons of injuries and LaRussa is a dinosaur that the game has passed by.

The worst part was they kept showing signs of life to keep teasing you that something was about to happen. Every chance they had to prove something at an important turning point...they failed every single time (except taking 3 out of 4 from Minn right before the all star break).

I don't ever need to see TLR again in a white sox uni.

Pujol's just hit his 700th HR against the dodgers
He hit 699 and 700 in back to back innings. Just crazy what he's done this 2nd half of the season since July 10th.

Well done by Dodger Stadium and the fans for the moment. Just too bad he couldn't get it at home.

Congrats to Albert. Glad to see him get there, one of the good guys in the game.

And I have to say, I didn't hate watching the Yanks/Sox game on AppleTV last night hoping to see Judge get 61. First time I've watched a game there all season. The announcers were pretty vapid, but I liked the visual game presentation and the on-screen graphics.

I am excited Tyler Glasnow is back and is getting a start on Wednesday. I haven't been watching any games since football started since I lost in my fantasy playoffs but I love watching Glasnow pitch. I am surprised they brought him back this year. Was expecting it be a lost year.

Blue Jays pitchers with 3 walks tonight. all to the Judge.

edit: lol 4th walk, sack up Toronto.
The class of Judge is shining through here. He had every opportunity to swing at some borderline pitches all night, but he took them to try and get the win for his team.

And I hate the Yankees.

The Marlins pitcher got called for 3 balks during a single at bat last night. Seems to be the first time in MLB history. Crazy. Nothing I can see in the video in the article looks like a balk to me.

It looks like he wasn't coming to a full stop when set. Very nitpicky though.
Those were pretty terrible calls. I could see the first one as he never really set. He just kind of continued through this motion but those are never called. It wasn't like he was trying to deceive the runner as he wasn't really even paying attention to him. If you wanted to call one just to let him know your watching and to have him pay more attention then fine but to call three on that is ridiculous.

There are other pitchers that do those start stop, shimy, knee buckle 27 times, etc there are actual balks that never get called. This was pretty terrible and there must be some back story that we just don't know. MLB is pretty lax on balk calls especially when there is not threat to run or the pitchers aren't really trying to hold runners on.

Great game 1 for the Guardians! Bieber pitched lights out and of course, it was Jose to provide the offense. Don't care what time they start, as long as they win!
