FoxSports isn't included in my Xfinity package? WTF.

I hate Comcast/Xfinity. Second time in a week I have said that (they just dropped Peacock also so I can't watch the TDF).

FU Xfinity.

These uniforms are the suck. They look like someone that looks at rain all the time designed them.
I liked it when the players wore their regular uniforms. Guess the MLB thought they could make money selling these jerseys.
Maybe they could compromise and have an All Star jersey color but with the team’s uniform script. So Salvador Perez’s would say Royals in their fonts. And so on.

Sunday lose to the Brewers 1-0. Scheduling quirk face the Brewers again in Cincinnati after the All-Star break and again lose 1-0.

Watched Jackson Holliday crush a first pitch, opposite field last night at the Baysox game. Watch out when he hits puberty.

Angels are buyers, which means Ohtani is off the block. I was really hoping to see what type of trade package he would bring even though my Reds couldn't touch that.

Reds need relief help. Would love to see at least 3 relievers be gone (Duarte, Law and Farmer), but that is likely a pipe dream. Give me 2 solid 8th inning guys.

I'll believe this come August 2nd, for now they are buyers but it could be a ploy to increase the trade packages that are currently being offered by claiming he is off the table.

Not trading Ohtani is so dumb when there is almost 0% chance he resigns in the offseason.

They're betting the foreseeable future on the current hot streak they are on. Now only 3.5 game out of a wildcard, I think the hope is to sneak in, make a run, and somehow convince Ohtani that they've finally extinguished this decade long raging dumpster fire.

Yeah, I don't think it will work either.

 He wants to stay on the west coast, he wants to remain private and not have to deal with reporters, he wants to win. The Angels check 2 of these 3 things off as do the Mariners and the Giants check off all 3 boxes.

I think the dodgers are too high profile and I left the Padres off because they have too many hot women.... :bag: ok, I just forgot to go south of the Angels

My gut is telling me that he ends up in Seattle.

Strange start to the Cubs/Cards game.

Ian Happ hits Willson Contreras in the head with an errant backswing, and Contreras has to exit the game.

Cardinals pitcher Mikolas then drills Happ in the caboose and is promptly ejected. On his way off the field, Mikolas starts jawing at the Cubs dugout.

or Dodgers
Yes please

i am hoping the mets decide to sell and have a soft reset. watching them zombie thru game after game is an indictment of showalter and the construction of this team. nimmo at .258 tonite, every other player below .247. the ABs have no purpose and trotting out canha, narvaez, vogelsong and even mcneil is torture. lindor just seems to try to hit a HR every AB. there are no rallies, no multiple hits in a row. the BP is stocked with middling throwers that are interchangeable.

Ohtani pretty much has the Dodgers over a barrel. He has to become a Dodger, doesn't he?

Forget this anonymity stuff. He's no longer a private citizen.

Dodgers or Red Sox or bust.

I can now check off pitching a complete game one hit shutout on my Ohtani bingo card....
Not to forget he hit multiple home runs today as well. Never seen anything like this.
I’ve heard people now on podcasts casually refer to him as the greatest player ever and at first I was like oh come on but now I’m starting to agree.

Just saw this on SC. Contrreras hugs Happ on the way out. So why would Mikolas feel the need to hit Happ?

It's definitely a possibility. Ichiro is his hero and still very much a part of the organization (he was dressing up in uniform and working with the team before games after he retired; guy is a little different) but Seattle hasn't really been known historically as a team that will back up the Brinks truck. I think Ohtani is also a different dude so he might be happier in a city like Seattle vs. LA or SFO.

It's going to cost, what, $500 million? At least?

Oh come on
It's kind of insane that Barry Bonds posted a few seasons with a higher WAR than Ohtani has ever put up (combined pitching and batting) despite the fact that Bonds was obviously only a hitter.

Passan said $600+ on a recent podcast.

I would think so. Seattle's payroll is 136MM, which is 18th. For cities on the west coast (I'm eliminating Oakland here) they have the most room by far, if that's a consideration anymore (I can't figure out cap stuff).

Mets have a payroll of 345MM lololololololo
Yanks next with 279MM, good for last place in the division. Balt 69MM, Rays 76MM. Insert Nelson Muntz "HA HA" here.

How much per year should be the question. He just turned 29 so should have 5-6 good years left. Would a 5 year 400million contract be enough to sign him?

The White Sox and Mets are long-lost brothers. Very similar genetics. Painful.

I am thankful that the Angels decided to part with their #2 (Edgar Quero, C) and #3 (Ky Bush, LHP) prospects for two rental players from the White Sox (Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez) in a lost season for the Southsiders.

It appears that we are scrapping the latest rebuild plan and working on the next rebuild! Way to go Hahn, you're a friggin genius!
