Not having a good feeling about the Stros today. Hope this home field disadvantage doesn't ring true again.

edit: just checked it's now 2-0 in the first

More blown opportunities for the Stros, just like all their home games in this series. Already two innings with a runner on 3rd and 1 out that they didn't bring home.

And getting so tired of seeing them hit those balls up the middle when Texas has shifted the defense over there on every batter leaving gigantic holes on that side of the infield that they just don't attack at all.

Brantley just hits the ball to the same spot every time no matter how much the defense cheats there. Great start over Dubon, who was one of their 5 hitters that hasn't been mostly worthless in this series.

Brantley has had runners on in every at bat tonight, and he's ended the inning in every at bat.

Really glad I didn't fork over good money to go the game tonight. Minute Maid looks extremely depressing unless you're a Rangers fan :kicksrock:

Yeah, it was frustrating to watch. It seemed no one else really hit this series outside of Altuve, Bregman and Alvarez. Tucker was abysmal.

Excellent ALCS. Congrats to the Astro fans here. With the money spent, not going to say this Texas team is scrappy, but they are ahead of schedule.

Memories of Nelson Cruz and David F'in Freese hopefully getting pushed aside by Garcia bombs, Seager and Semien paying off that investment, Carter and Jung showing they are ready and the pitching doing just enough.

Feels like that should be reviewable.
Call of the guy 90 feet away with player in the way versus guy 10 feet away. Should defer to better view.
It isn't a better view though, 1B ump is obstructed in that situation. Still could be reviewable.
It is definitely the HP umps call for anything that is before the bag but I have no idea why that couldn't be reviewed. I suppose their rationale could be that ball hooked into the corner after hitting before the base (making it HP ump call) that is called foul stops everything and if it ended up fair after review then the play was stopped. However, I think they have been able to award bases based on umpire judgement in other cases. I just don't get why this isn't reviewable.

I'll be rooting for you guys. Still remember our first championship back in 2017. It's a cool feeling. Do it for Buddy Bell and Oddibe McDowell.

Don't forget Rueben Sierra......or Jose Canseco heading the ball over the fence. Do it for them too...

And Scott Fletcher, Jim Sundberg and Charlie Hough

And let's do it for Geno Petralli, Steve Buechele, Dean Palmer, Jeff Kunkel, Magic Mike Jeffcoat, Beloved Brad Arnsberg and the Ranger who broke my heart, Benji Gil.

Love all these random, lesser known players and Lol at Dean Palmer. Probably have about 50 of his Upper Deck rookie card still sitting in my closet if you're a buyer.

I'd prefer the gum.

Upper Deck was the first card company not to include gum :kicksrock:

Let's not forget a young Pete Incaviglia. That dude would smash the cover off the ball. I think he still holds the college record for HRs.

And RBI.

When he wasn't hitting home runs, he would cool off the Arlington faithful with strong breezes from wildly missing the baseball.

Fun Scott Fletcher trivia: Scooter was the first athlete in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to make a millon dollars a year. Not a Cowboy or Maverick or SMU Mustang, but Scott Freakin Fletcher.
