Dodgers fans making this one ugly.
The organization should be embarrassed. That was disgraceful
What happened?
About a 15 minute delay because Dodgers fans were throwing things at the Padres outfielders.
Give them a break, they're not used to showing up for an entire game and the mental fatigue is getting to them. The worst fans
Front runners. Those same fans couldn’t even stay and take their medicine. So weak.

Wow. The Padres are such a smack-talking disrespect outfit. From Tatis and Profar waving and egging the fans on in the first and the fourth or fifth when Tatis was doing his hand gestures, to Machado's reputation (he ruined Dustin Pedroia's career with a dirty ******** slide), to Tatis's home run whatever-the-****-that-is—they're lucky they aren't catching baseballs with the side of their ribs on the reg.

Don't like that outfit.

While they are punks…….the fans were being classless as well.

Animals.

Sure. They were throwing baseballs at Profar. That's uncool at the very least and possibly attempted assault and battery if we were going to get technical about it. But what was Profar doing the whole game? Okay, nice catch. Keep your **** out of the stands and maybe people won't notice it. Same with Tatis and Machado.

I grew up with my brother living in San Diego. I used to catch the bus to go to the old stadium when they had five-dollar nights all the time when they stunk in 1993 and their best players were Tony Gwynn and Tony Gwynn.

So I have no L.A./San Diego rivalry thing going on. I prefer the Dodgers right now because of their makeup and demeanor (and talent), but I was cheering for SD against them as late as about a year ago.

Animals? Is that what you are calling the fans?

Um, give me any team, anywhere, and I'll find plenty of "animals" for you.

Good god, you sound like you're from Florida! Who, btw, have a great shot at winning it all. Each of those super holy squads could come through, no question, those filthy animals.

Are you being serious here? Where the **** do you get off with your post?

When fans are chucking baseballs at players on the field yeah they are being ****ing animals.

Real rich of you man.

I don’t like when players act like punks as much as the next guy…but when fans start chucking objects that can injure people…..yeah that’s normal behavior. Jesus man. Real classy.

Welcome to ignore.

I'm pulling for the Dodgers, because I think, if Philly gets by NY, the Dodgers are the easier matchup in the NLCS. Their starting pitching is garbagio.

:lmao: quit acting like padre fans aren’t just as bad. Every team has fans that are bad people but they don’t represent the organization as a whole

I don’t care about either of these teams, and throwing anything on the field or at players is bad, but I also would not call one fan throwing an object at a player just as bad as multiple fans throwing baseballs into LF, and then multiple fans throwing trash on the field in RF.

You know what's "rich" here? Your first two sentences. Wrapping up irony and hypocrisy into one burrito is, mas o menos, muy bien.

And lol to "welcome to ignore". Devastating! Welcome to high school would be equally apropos. That part was actually nice of you, your typical ostentatious dig aside.

Dodger stadium has a recently well earned reputation.

And to be clear, I’m not saying ALL Dodger fans, clearly there are some very good people who are fans. But that stadium and its fan base, well let’s say it has a history.

I for one would like to congratulate my Padres for evening the series. Now go win two in San Diego and send the Dodgers packing for Cancun.
LFG SD!!!!

Going to the game tomorrow, cannot wait to feel what that ballpark energy is going to be like. Going to be crazy.

Michael King was my ACE this year in fantasy (wasn't drafted to be, but that's the way the baseball cookie crumbled for me) and if he pitches like he did against Atlanta, I really like our chances. When he is on, he is filthy good.

Have fun! Can't wait for the recap in here.

WOW! Skubal ...Carpenter (with 2 outs; 2 strikes against Clase) ...huge Tigers win on the road.

:pickle:

Was a great win. I was happy but that last pitch for a called third was so low!!

There were so many pitches called in this game that were not strikes for both teams. With the pitchers hitting high 90s and the catchers "framing" the umpires just can`t see the ball fast enough from behind ,and or are fooled by the catchers framing. They really need a laser strike zone that is consistent,

Tigers fired their one bullet. Tribe in 4.
I wouldn't bet on that. Tigers and Guardians have very similar stats (pitching and batting). Guardians' most reliable starter, Bibee, pitched game 1. They really don't have two dominant pitchers to roll out in games 3 and 4. Nor do the Tigers, of course. But I think the Tigers will play loose, now ...they've overachieved, and with a W in their pocket and playing at home, they can just let it roll.

I expect Bibee game 4

Oh, true ...I didn't do the math, but that would be with 4 days rest.

Royals still alive. Haven’t seen any articles yet but I’m sure the narrative will be the yankees failed vs the royals taking one.
I watched the game……Royals beat them tonight.

Timely hitting. Better pitching.

Game 3 will be the pivotal game (stating the obvious).

Saw a great post on social media, it said:

The Padres players are such great guys. Even after the Dodgers fans started throwing baseballs at them, they still kept hitting more balls to them to throw.

If you followed these Yankee teams for the last 5-10 years, their offensive futility in the playoffs is not a surprise. HR or nothing approach does not work in the playoffs when you only face good pitching.

This is not one lf those Yankee teams this year.

We have contact linedrive hitters in this lineup this season.

Last 10 years I agree.

This season……disagree. Baseball is a streaky game too. We had a lot of barrels last night that found leather.

Aaron Judge during the regular season 6'7". Aaron Judge during the post-season 5'7". Your best player can't keep coming up small in the playoffs. Judge in 24 ALDS games: .194 BA with a .701 OPS. Not going to cut it.

I’d be curious what their team batting average was this year.

First two guys get on in the first and 3-5 can’t come up with a hit set the tone last night.

I think it was Costas but not sure. Whoever it was did have a great quote but he was referring to Bobby Witt's struggles thus far. He said if this happened in July nobody would say anything as it is just a two game sample out of 162 games that nobody would bat an eye. But in the playoffs it gets so magnified that it's the end of the world.

It's why playoff baseball is so different than regular season. Every AB matters. Every pitch matters. The pressure is magnified by 1000 on everything. Those that can filter out that pressure and treat like any other game are the ones that succeed. Those that let the pressure build and start to press (I can see it in Judge and Witt) tend to fold.

The main narrative I saw last night involved George Brett and his wife looking at their phones.
He did a great job as a first base coach (GO TO SECOND!) on that one play where the Royals scored. Exhilarating TV.
He actually did both. He told the runner to go home and then told the batter-runner to go to second. He was multi-tasking while also eating a hot dog. Incredible poise.
