If you would have went with somebody like Nicks or some other stud WR, I feel you would have hit a HR. I like your team and feel I am going to have a similiar one.12 team PPR (.4 for RB, .7 for WR, 1 for TE) Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF.1. Larry Fitzgerald2. Michael Vick3. Wes Welker4. I planned to go WR-WR in the top 2 rounds with two of the top 5 WR's, but the WR's flew off the board so I took Vick. In round 6 Marshawn Lynch and Chris Wells both went right before me, so I settled for Bush. I feel I got a lot of decent flyers at RB and WR that could emerge and give me some solid production.
I like my start, I just missed Felix, so I took best instead. People will get on me for the Gates pick, but I like him there, he wasn't coming around again, and hopefully it's set it and forget it with him. I really like Big Ben in the 8th after the run of Qbs early, I waited as long as possible. I thought Lloyd was decent value in the 5th. Thoughts?1.09 9. In my last draft, Fitz was gone, but I took him over Nicks here. This league is full ppr, not .5 for wrs. Someone took Best right before me, so I took Felix, who I wanted in my last draft. I took the chance on Ingram, but then followed it up with DeAngelo in the next round, hedging my bets a bit if Ingram is worked in slower than expected. I don't love Harvin, but I took him there, didn't like my options after that. Surprised Bush was there, like the value as a 4th RB. Thomas is a nice play in a PPR as a 3/4 wr with Harvin and matchup play, I think. Stafford was the best of the rest QB. If he stays healthy, I think he's top 10. I was the last guy to draft QB. Love Ringer in the 10th, he'll see time early for sure regardless if CJ signs or not. I like Howling as a flier, seeing as a missed by a pick or two on Wells. All in all, two different teams, but I like my chances in this league, too. Thoughts? Oh, I didn't draft a PK or defense, 4th year in a row, and it's worked out fine with matchups. I'll likely drop Tate and Benn.1.09 9. Dominique Strauss-Kahn's Maid Service Johnson, Calvin DET WR Wed Aug 31 7:36:38 p.m. ET 2011 2.04 16. Yeah, I've done the upside down thing for awhile (assuming I am drafting in the back end). I'd rather have the 1st tier WR than a 2nd tier RB- ppr or not. RBs are such a gamble, I'd rather have quantity over quality. I figured between 5 RBs I got, at least 2 of them should establish themselves as weekly starters. My only real question mark is the 3rd WR. AJ went 8th, I took White/Fitz and the 12th pick took Calvin/Jennings. This caused other owners to panic and WRs started flying off the board. It was good because some of those backs fell to me in later rounds. However, it also left me with little options for a 3rd WR.Great team. I didn't know people were doing upside down drafting in non ppr. I do upside down if I pick from 1.5-1.12 in PPR.
