Official 9th pick (12 team re-draft) PPR (1 Viewer)

OK..I assume a thread does not exist.

Given that the best RB's will be off the board, I am thinking Rodgers/Brees at # 9 and grabbing a WR on the way back.

That is funny because I am thinking WR/RB, RB/WR, QB, but it depends on your scoring. I think I can get a good QB in the 3rd in someone like Romo. I read an article in FBG about the serious decline in WR and RB after the top 10 are gone, IIRC. RB was more important to grab early. QB don't vary as much and TE were more predictable. Here is the link to the article. Interesting read...

The 9 slot is a difficult slot to choose and prepare for this year. I certainly don't like it.

Just drafted a 12 teamer no PPR with a flex. I was drafting with a bunch of #######. Here's what I got.

1) Frank Gore (Was debating between Gore and Turner, yes they were both there at 9)

2) Deangelo Williams

3) Tony Romo

4) Ryan Mathews

5) Anquan Boldin

6) Dwayne Bowe

7) Jeremichael Finley

8) Michael Crabtree

9) Clinton Portis

10) Kevin Kolb

11) Ahmad Bradshaw

12) Arian Foster

13) Devin Aromashodu

14) Zach Miller

15) Tennessee Titans D

16) Robbie Gould

What do you think?

The league does score a TD as 6 pts for a QB....so while I too am weighing all the options, I may be staring Roders/Brees in the face at #9 w/ hopes that I can grab Roddy White (love him this year) on the way back. I may be able to snag another solid WR with my 3rd and hope for a RB like Joseph Addia w/ my 4th pick. Any reason to believe that Addia wouldn't be there?

Ryan Mathews has an ADP in the late 2nd round and you got him in the 4th. Boldin has an ADP at the end of Round 3 and you got him in the 5th. Finley has an ADP in the middle of round 5 and you got him in the 7th. CRabtree's os end of round 3 and you got him in the 8th. I think you're fishin'

Can we get some legit discussion here? ADP for the first pick is in this area (two players ahead and two behind:

Steven Jackson

Reggie Wayne

Then the next pick is:

Miles Austin

Rashard Mendenhall

Brandon Marshall

Drew Brees

Round 3:

Anquan Boldin

LeSean McCoy

Cedric Benson

Sidney Rice

Steve Smith

Round 4:

Tony Romo

Antonio Gates

Knowshon Moreno

Chad Ochocinco

Jonathan Stewart

Round 5:

Dwayne Bowe

Mike Sims-Walker

Felix Jones

Hines Ward

Reggie Bush

Round 6:

Tony Gonzalez

Jeremy Maclin

Marion Barber

Jay Cutler

Brandon Jacobs

Round 7:

Dez Bryant

Ricky Williams

Malcom Floyd

Eli Manning

Round 8:

Matt Ryan

Cadillac Williams

Round 9:

Darren Sproles

Tim Hightower

Chris Cooley

Carson Palmer

Santonio Holmes

Round 10:

Arian Foster

If it were as simple as this, that you could take any player from each set of 5, who would you take?

TURNER, MARSHALL, BENSON, ROMO, MSW, BARBER, DANIELS, MEACHUM, S.HOLMES, FOSTER.. hows that?Think youd have a heavy TD team; Have to also consider Braylon if he falls after Foster to fill in while Holmes is out. I know the RB's are not a protypical pair in a PPR But Marshall/Daniels should close your RB receptions gap, Romo should keep you ahead of most in production and without looking at the schedule you should never have to worry about having a WR starting in a blizzard game; most of the team plays in south or a dome.. I always like that for NOV-DEC..

Tough choices...but from your ranges, I would go:1. S-Jax - Very valuable PPR RB2. R. White - Solid WR 13. Steve Smith (Carolina) - Has high upside potential to produce WR1 results4. Romo - Set it and forget it and get 2nd qb later on5. Reggie Bush - good PPR back, especially with injuries to Hamilton.6. Maclin - good depth pick7. Foster - yes, I would reach for him as he may prove to be a solid RB 2.8. Caddy - Just looking for depth at this point9. Cooley - should bounce back and under Shanny's system with Donovan at QB, no reason to really think that Fred Davis will vulture too many targets.10. Eddie Royal - Just more WR depth and he is likely due for rebound over dismal 2nd season. He could surprise and offer decent WR3 value as it appears that D. Thomas and Decker both are not yet ready and Jabbar Gaffney just can't be that good.

Let's keep the 9th spot discussion going...I'm picking 9th in 12-team PPR and my draft is not for another couple of weeks so I have mostly started looking at the early rounds, but I'll give it a go.1st round: Steven Jackson or Randy Moss. SJax back scares me a little, but he's a very strong PPR RB even on a bad team and I think their Oline will be improved this year after getting their young guys some experience. He's also a security blanket for the rookie QB. If I had to pick one, I would say Moss at this point.2nd round: Roddy White. I'm big on Roddy this year. He had a great year last year with Ryan having a down year. Ryan improving would be a good thing for Roddy.3rd round: Cedric Benson4th round: I would say Tony Romo, but I'm pretty sure he will be long gone in my league. I'll go with Knowshon Moreno as a more likely pick in the 4th.5th round: MSW6th: Barber7th: Eli Manning8th: Brett Favre (if he is back otherwise Matt Ryan)9th: Chris Cooley10th: Arian Foster, but I highly doubt he will last until the 10th round. Eddie Royal would be a decent pick at this point. I think he will be a pretty good value at this point in a PPR league.

well my draft is this SAT. (ppr, 12) all td's 6........only weird rule (roster limits....2qb, 4rb, 4wr, 2te, 2k, 2def) (we start 1,2,2,1,1,1)

ive been eye'n up Moss or Sjax, but if turner is there......im gonna be sweatin out 3 guys lol

if i chose RB in rd 1, im lookin at marshall, austin, roddy etc....if i take MOSS...im eye's what rb's are there....and maybe the whole WR/WR thing

but im hopin to get a qb in 3 or 4.....and if i take 2 wr's there is no way i am doing that.....i always feel comfortable having the big 3 right away.....qb, rb, wr

I have this slot in a draft tomorrow. 12 team standard scoring redraft (non-PPR but I'll participate anyway).

I've had a couple drafts under my belt leading up to this one, and the vibe I've gotten so far is that this is a year you can wait on a QB in most leagues (unless your league is QB happy or gives generous scoring to the position). I had a 14 team draft last night that has always been QB-happy in the past, so I went for Romo in the 3rd, only to see guys like Ryan and McNabb still on the board in the 8th round. I'm still happy with my team, but in hindsight, I would've much rather stacked up at RB/WR, which felt like they got thin REAL fast.

So with 1.9 tomorrow I'm going in with the game plan of taking the best RB or WR on the board in at least the first 4 rounds. If Andre Johnson falls to me I'll take him, but I'd also be happy with S-Jax/DeAngelo and then somebody like Larry Fitzgerald on the wrap (he's been sinking like crazy thanks to the QB situation) or Calvin Johnson.

So 4 rounds in a team that consisted of S-Jax/DeAngelo, Fitz/Calvin, Benson/Best/McCoy, and Ochocinco feels like a solid base to me, especially when you add Ryan/Kolb as the QB.

Another route would be to go WR/WR in the first two rounds and have a stacked corps that consisted of two of: one of the Johnsons, Fitz, White, Austin, Moss, etc ... you could then hit RB in 3 and 4 and probably end up with two from: Benson, Best, McCoy, Spiller, Thomas, Stewart. Not bad especially if S-Jax is off the board when it gets to you in the 1st round since your other options would be a time-sharing DeAngelo, Ryan Grant, or one of the over-hyped youngsters (Mendenhall/Mathews).

Oh ... and no way Arian Foster falls past the 5th or 6th round in anybody's draft. He's officially the "sleeper" pick that isn't a sleeper anymore.

12 team ppr

start 1 qb,2 rb, 3wr, 1 te, 1 flex

went wr,wr,te,wr

Andre Johnson

Brandon Marshall

Gates

Crabtree

RBs are Addai, Barber, Spiller
