lol my gf has a team with trent and mccoy has her starting rbs.

I had a draft the other day where i took trent 3rd overall.

got a draft tomorrow with the 6th pick.. debating between him or mccoy. I think there is a better chance that T-Rich is there. plus playoffs in week 12 might make my decision easier

the 6 spot is pretty sweet this year. AD, McCoy, Martin, Charles, Spiller, and Trent.

I was very high on him but wasn't able to get him in any of my 3 drafts. I picked in the first half of the draft and selected Martin, Charles and McCoy. Each time I debated over Trent but never got him. This means he will finish RB1 without a doubt...

hows this working out for you now, clown? i posted stats about Trich, factual stats about him being very,very ordinary, an overrated plodder/mudder who looked good behind the best O-line in COLLEGE football @ Alabama, but not so good in the nfl, that he is only averaging 3.4ypc in 2013. 3.6 last season. sorry if your simpleton mind cant wrap itself around the facts I posted , i.e., of the 20 best rookie RBs of the past 20 years only 6 came back to post better numbers in year two. SIX. he was 6/17 on carries of one yard or less for a first down or TD, among 35 RBs in the NFL with at least 10 of those plays, he was worst, tied with. M. I have him on almost 15 $$$ teams. So yeah, I'm sinking or swimming with him.

We all saw what he could do last year (injured at times), so the talent is there. This isn't like wondering what Lamar Miller or Eddie Lacy is capable of.

Just like some other teams/players, his start to the season is against some tougher teams and without the full complement of weapons.

He'll finish top 10 or I'm suing the Browns.

I left the bandwagon because I checked their run defense schedule this year; absolutely brutal. I did not take that into consideration before drafting him. They play the Ravensx2, Pittx2, Bengalsx2, then many other underrated, tough front sevens like DET/GB/NE/NYJ... has to be one of the toughest run defense schedules in the NFL.

The only reprieve he gets is week 3 and week 5 against the Vikings and Bills.

I don't think Richardson is anywhere near the RB MJD was earlier in his career. I know the consensus is that is one of the most talented RB prospects in recent memory but I just dont see it. Ever since his days at Bama I have wanted to be impressed by him but again just dont see it.

IMO Richardson is a great physical specimen, workout warrior, etc. but I don't think he is, or ever will be, a great RB. He's versatile and obviously a beast of an athlete but I just don't see the sort of burst and explosiveness to make him a special RB.

Out of the 23 RBs in the NFL who got over 200 carries last year only Leshore had less runs of 20 yards or more. Leshore had ZERO, Richardson had 2, tied with Shonne Greene. MJD, on the other hand, has always been a good for several big plays a game, which is why he was able to produce even on crap teams. Richardson has not shown that ability at all.

He will still be productive for FF purposes strictly from the volume of touches he gets but I just don't see the special RB that he has been touted as since he was in HS.

I'm a big Richardson fan, but I've been burned with picking players from my college team before, and I think I'm going to get burned again.

The optimist in me says the following: Last year he had broken ribs which killed his explosion. This year he has been hindered by an inept QB, no receivers, and two tough run defenses to start the year. His time will come, as he made some nice physical runs in these games, and he didn't really have anywhere to go. Also, for whatever reason, 2013 so far has been the worst year for rb's since like 1960. So something is going on.

The pessimist in me says the following: We are 2 games into his second season, and he has one really good game. At some point the excuses have to stop, and he has to start producing. Stud rb's produce in the worst of situations. They may get held down most of the game, but they will generally make big plays at some point. Now Weeden is hurt and we are left with Jason Campbell and/or Hoyer. When will this train ever leave the station? Will it? Is this a second straight Bama bust?

Sure, he's not performing up to the standards of surefire first-round studs like Ray Rice, CJ Spiller, and Arian Foster... oh yeah...

It's concerning to be sure. But I think things get easier when Gordon and Weeden can start taking the top off defenses.

Understood you were comparing situations and not the players, though it's not an out of whack comparison to make.

I was just answering your question of "MJD hjas finished top 5 with nothing around him, why can't Richardson?" MJD was able to produce with nothing around him because he's more explosive and gets chunk yardage plays. Through his short NFL career Richardson has not shown that ability.
