Official Chad Pennington Thread (1 Viewer)

Mortensen claims Mangini told Pennington that he'd be on a short leash. Can we really take that report seriously?

I think we can believe him but at the same time, is that really bad for Pennington this game?

Cinn has given up 13 passing TDs to 6 INTs....2 of those INTs coming against the combo of Boller/McNair in the first game of the season.

Pennington is playing for his job against a BAD Cinncy DEF. I'm nervous, but will leave Pennington in and hope for the best! I think he delivers and holds the job for another week.

Actually I'm a Clemens owner.. and from my perspective it seems like all of the calls to bench Chad have come from the fans and the media, never from Mangini. This just seems like a big reversal of his position.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Chad Pennington has been informed by coach Eric Mangini that he is on a short leash in Sunday's game.Mortensen says the Pennington era is a few bad plays away from ending, and that Kellen Clemens' time is nearing. This makes Chad a risky play even in a terrific fantasy matchup against the Bengals.

vs. bad Bengals passing D?

Does he respond to "short leash" and play well?

Or, is this his last game?
