Check out Maverick Tours. They have several options for GC tours. Ours came back and flew all the way down the strip from north to south. To us, Aria is the nicest place to stay.

I went there July 4th time frame in 2012. It was over 100 and 1 day got to 110. I don't get this it's dry heat so it's different. When you are walking outside between hotels, and they may look like they are next to each other but in reality it feels like a mile to get next door, then you feel the heat of the sun beaming on you. And lol at it's not like you are walking around in the desert. Uh, Vegas is the desert with a cool party scene strip going in the middle.

We've stayed in Aria and I think it's overrated. Quite popular with Asians and Iranians and other upper class clientelle so we had to see what the hype was. The architecture of it is cool, but a bit too cold/stale for my taste. It didn't have a overall warm welcoming feeling. If you are into high tech, you'll love this. The mall alongside there is pretty cool. They love blowing O2 into the rooms and we couldn't figure out a way to adjust it. I mean I understand they want to keep us awake and alert so we can go spend more money but this was ridiculous. I personally like having the shower separate from the tub. It wasn't in our room. As expensive as it was, I didn't feel it lived up to all the talk. Cosmo imo is much better with the "uppity" feel as is Encore so we won't be staying in Aria anymore. Plus it's not centrally located like Cosmo is. I love having Bellagio next door, Paris up across the street along with PH. Great views to be had if you get the right room.
Another good thing to save on all the walking between hotels is the trams. It's free and it connects to Monte Carlo and Bellagio. There are 2 locations in Aria to access them.There is a Monte Carlo/Aria station where you don't actually have to leave the hotel. You can also catch the tram at Crystals on the 3rd floor of that mall. That part was nice.

Wynn didn't do it for me. I don't know why. I like the Encore club scenes but I felt like the hotels were more my mother loves as far as decor, which is nice not implying that it's not at all, but not my taste. Venetian, yes! A must see on your first trip to Vegas. The canals and gondola ride in middle of the shopping mall is very cool. I also love Caesars Palace with the changing from day to night skies and the greek style feel to it.

Paris is cool to see and eat at their bouffet but the rooms weren't that great imo compared to other places. I expected a lot being it's Paris hotel with the cool Eiffel tower look but not so much on the rooms.

I will say this as an over 30 year old. Going to Vegas in the summer sucks. My husband and I went 2 years ago in late June. There were a lot of younger kids there and lets just say they are mostly jerks. A certain group of girls we met while we were there took the cake though. We were staying at Bally's and woke up went and had breakfast and then went to hang by their pool for a couple of hours. We were laying in the lounge chairs they have down there and both of us were almost sleeping when we heard someone say "excuse me". When we didn't answer since we didn't think she was talking to us she yelled "EXCUSE ME". My husband looked up and said "Do I know you?" She replied "No, but if we are going to be stuck sitting next to you do you mind putting your shirt on. We don't want to see that" My husband is about 6' 1" 240lbs. Well my husband being the smart ### he is said "No problem, but on one condition. You have to keep your legs closed because I don't want to smell that" She proceeded to throw her drink on him and then security came over and escorted us out. After we got dressed we went down and complained to the hotel manager and did get 50 dollars in free play and 50 more dollars in comps to go eat.
So I guess my advice is to stay away from Caeser's properties while out there, we had trouble at Harrah's at one of the Pai Gow tables with some younger adults as well and again at the Rio at the buffet.

For those on a budget, look for deals with the airlines. What hotel is involved changes but last year we did the budget thing and flew Virgin Airlines (my favorite carrier by far for the US destination---you must fly with them if you can...the ambiance, music... oh my) and had a special with it and a 3 night stay at Venetian. Now mind you you won't get a room with a view this way but we had overspent on other stuff so it became go to Vegas this way or forget it. This was arrive 12/26 and leave 12/29.

Went in mid-September. It was over 100 degrees every day and us Northeastern pasty guys don't do well without a roof or at least an umbrella over our heads. Cabana probably the way to go especially in July. I imagine it's gonna be sweltering. Our room at the Venetian was sick, and there's a bunch of pools and pool areas to choose from. Close enough to walk to a lot of places too.
Definitely use Icon's VIP website posted in the Vegas thread. Gets you access with no lines or covers to clubs, events, strip clubs, etc.
Went to Spearmint Rhino with the wife. Seems cliche because it's the most popular one and all, but probably a reason for that. Try to find Jessica. She really knows how to make a couple feel welcome

I've done multiple Vegas trips, personally love the city for a quick 3 day trip (but I couldn't imagine going for much longer).
Done the wife thing there with my then GF (now wife) about 5 years ago, we had a blast.
Saw Peepshow (burlesque show) which headlined with Holly Madison and Aubrey Oday. We sat next to the stage and it was fantastic. One of the girls tossed there garter belt leg holder thingy in my face, we enjoyed this show a lot.
Did the O Show (cirque du soleil)... Not really my style, but the wife loved it.
Went to a pool party one day which was a good time. If you were going this route, I'd recommend Wet Republic or Encore Beach Club on any day but a Saturday, honestly might just be a little out of your element on a Saturday GB.
Dined at the hotel in the Paris overlooking the Bellagio fountain (highly recommend) and the needle too restaurant, although my memory of that one is kinda faded, but might be worth checking out.
Also, Bellagio has the best buffet in the world.
Personally, I'd recommend staying at either The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, Cosmo, Or Wynn.

Fantasy: you liked the buffet at Bellagio?? Seriously??? Sure it has a ton of selection to choose from but the food is average to good at best. And the atmosphere had a cafeteria look/feel to it. Definitely not worth standing in line for 2 hours for.... Price wise it was cheaper than say the buffet at Paris but then again completely different scene.

It's a buffet, kinda the environment I expect, I'm not recommending it for a fancy dinner, but for a buffet yes I thought it was great... More comfort food after a day of drinking. Also, we waited like 15-20 minutes.

We did buffet at Le Village on a Friday and paid $70 each. We don't have the total rewards card which actually we should get because it would save us $10 each and we go there every time we go to Vegas. Maybe we are choosing the wrong days to go there but it just winds up that we go on a Fri or Sat.
I'm sure you got lucky with that wait time, like the rush is gone already. We had a cool 2 hour wait. Luckily there are slot machines alongside the line so I'd sit and feed them while I waited to be fed myself...

One of my favorite cities. One of a kind place and I try to go each year. If you want trashy, you can find it in Vegas. If you want classy, you can find it there too.
I like the town because it's easy to see a ton without a car and because no one gives a crap if you are drinking at 7am.

Sadly, no matter how much you work out, you and the lady will look nothing like the magazine/porn/SoCal maroons that will be at the pool, especially on a weekend.
Drugs are...uh, prevalent in Vegas. So if you're into it, e and or yay will enhance any clubbing and pool partying. Pretty much everyone else will be on something and it will help you look less like a fat pasty lawyer form NY that somehow scored a hot wife.

Mine too with NYC a close second. It really does have something for anyone there, except for the kids---- have never been to Circus Circus so maybe that would be the place but my teenage cousins had no interest and just did the walk around and the malls during the day. At night is when we heard we are bored and there's nothing to do as we left them to go to do our own clubbing.

Depends. I think if you want a feel of old school vegas mixed with some of the craziest characters you may ever see, you could do a lot worse than spending a few hours of your trip here. I'd put it on my list.
