I don't think that there is anything that they can do. They'll just distance themselves and watch him go down in flames while trying to limit their huge exposure down ticket. And they'll all be secretly hugely relieved when he loses. No one, and I do mean no one, with more than about five functioning brain cells can seriously believe that he would be a good President at this point. What a disaster for the Republican Party -- absolutely already worse than Goldwater at this point, and Trump has barely even started digging yet.  :lmao:
I so hope you're right. I think you are.

But we're 5 months away. We've got daily news cycles, and two conventions, and debates. A major terrorist attack could make voters forget all about Trump's idiocies. An economic slump could turn them against the Democrats. Lots of time left.

I understand not wanting to "give in" but the horse left the barn in Trump's head a long, long time ago. Super funny until he can actually do things. You know it, Higgs.

And   at "interesting what Hannity has to say tonight" one of the few people I put on par with repulsiveness with Trump. Different strokes for different folks though.

Looking forward to your debate! You are good at it.
Hannity is one of the most misunderstood people on the planet.  I've said this before but he's one of the most charitable, kind people you'll ever hear about.  His tipping is legendary - not uncommon for him to leave a $500 tip for a $200 dinner.  I listen to his radio show on the way home from work and just a couple weeks ago a guy called in, mentioned in passing that he had gotten laid off and was trying to go back to school... Hannity offered to pay for his entire tuition right there on the spot, on the condition that the guy maintain a B average.  The guy, who was apparently destitute started crying on the air.  He was a minority by the way (only saying that because people seem to think he's a racist because of his conservative views).  A couple years ago he befriended a black female liberal caller who used to give him a lot grief.  Last year he paid for her and her disabled daughter to go to Disney for a week.  When he called her to see how the trip went she was in the airport and her flight had been canceled.  The only flight she could get would be the next day.  She was upset because her daughter who was mentally disabled was freaking out.  Sean managed to get her on the next flight out - first class.  The guy has a heart of gold.  He came from a very similar background as a lot of us - hard working, middle class guy who feels blessed to be making more many than he probably deserves, and he gives it all back.

Eh, not when there is an endless loop of attack ads showing him saying he wants Saudi Arabia to have access to nuclear weapons.

The fact this dude has to mention money in everything is so lame. Who does this in real life? Who wants to hear this constantly? Complete total Dbag
This what i don't understand...it's where I am fundamentally at a loss.  This is guy isn't one of the people, he is not the 'anti-franchise' candidate, he is not in it for the little man.  He's a rich, spoiled, dbag, who will do or say anything to get what he wants.  Most people see this, I just don't understand those that don't.

I've heard story after story like this. It appears to me that in real life, Sean Hannity is a very good guy, very generous, very humble, with a heart of gold.

But on-air, at least for me, he is almost unlistenable.

That is all very nice I didn't know any of that.

His on air persona act is the worst. Most punchable face

Nice to see that Hannity does some nice things when he's not at work.

The fact that he knowingly misleads the American public by screaming at people and spreading fear and hate all day is an unforgivable offense in my book, though.

Told the memo was sent by Erica Freeman, a staffer who circulates information to surrogates,

... The e-mailed memo, sent by Freeman on Sunday, was cc'd to campaign manager Corey Lewandowski; Hope Hicks, Trump's top communications staffer; and Rick Gates, a top aide to campaign chairman Paul Manafort. ...

In response, Trump said that he aspired to hold regular calls with surrogates in order to coordinate the campaign's message, a role usually reserved for lower ranking staffers than the nominee himself.

- First of all he has staffers leaking documents out to the media.

- And then you've got the presidential nominee taking on lower staff duties.

****show.

If something big happens, doesn't neccesarily have to be an attack, he could easily win at this point. Mind boggling.
Yeah, that was mostly just tongue-in-cheek. He might have a chance if there's a major disaster (attack, economic meltdown, etc). I do disagree with "easily," though, as I'm pretty much 100% certain that he's completely off of the rails and uncontrollable, and will continue to say and do stuff that will turn people away in droves. Gary Johnson is going to be raking in the votes from virtually every single serious principled conservative leaving only the very bottom of the barrel for Trump.

I am sort of working a reverse jinx here, have been so wrong about everything with Trump in this election.

Off the rails for sure, complete bat####. Works for him though somehow.

Audience is so different now in the general.  Romney killed Obama by 20 points among whites in 2012 and still got smoked.  Trump is absolutely toxic to everyone but old white men.

The party can pretty much decide to do whatever they want.  Of course, it would be a disaster, but the party is not beholden to the votes that have been cast.

You must be a Protestant.

How he got this far is some sort of bizzaro-miracle. I see these polls where Hillary is only a couple of points ahead nationally. She does have a pretty big advantage going looking at electoral college map and the added benefit that Trump is a lunatic.

But haven't we seen this from her before? She's way ahead and gets beat or at least tracked down.

Not sure why you guys keep saying Trump might have mental illness.  Don't you remember the note from his doctor saying he would be the healthiest President ever?

I don't think he can make it through 4 years of being president, he's not looking so hot lately. Puffy, jowls expanding, sweaty. Imagine the rats nest on his head turning grey.

Before you dismiss me as just another "Mexican," let me point out that my great-great grandfather came to this country in 1857, well before your own grandfather. His grandchildren (my grandfather and his brothers) all served our country in World War I and World War II. His great-grandson, my father, served in the U.S. Army and, coincidentally, was one of the first "Mexican" federal judges ever appointed to the federal bench.

In 1981, President Reagan presented Master Sergeant Roy Benavides with the Medal of Honor for fighting in what has been described as "6 hours in hell." In Vietnam, Sergeant Benavides suffered 37 separate bullet, bayonet and shrapnel wounds to his face, leg, head and stomach while saving the lives of eight men. In fact, when awarding the honor to Benavides, President Reagan, turned to the media and said, "if the story of his heroism were a movie script, you would not believe it."

- This guy might have actually taken Trump's place when he lied about having bone spurs in his feet to get out of service. Someone did.

Any chance they pull the plug on this guy at the convention? I don't think there's any way he can win the general election. Maybe they're better off letting the "base" learn their lesson here, take the massive beating and try and find a real candidate for 2020. I doubt the "base" learns their lesson though.

Don't worry, Timmy already proclaimed 4 months ago that there is zero chance Trump wins...since you know, he's been so good at prognostication.
Link? I don't think he'll win but I've always put his chances at higher than zero. I give him about a 20% chance- which for me is way too high.

Not really a story that Hillary's camp should push.
I don't see the relevance?  It shouldn't matter or have anything to do with Hillary.  I'm talking about journalists doing their jobs.  There is a ton of smoke to the Texas and Florida AG's dealings with TrumpU.
