I, for one, couldn't be happier about Trump's victory. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Republicans!  You've given us the first woman President, allowed Democrats to stack the Supreme Court, and Republicans will forever be the nation's laughingstock for nominating Trump.  :hifive:

Hillary's not a racist or bigot or demagogue. You SHOULD be nice to Hillary. In any case, since she is extremely likely to be your President in less than a year from now, she is worthy of your respect.
Oh my, now I see why everyone thinks you're delusional

Yep you all were convinced he would never win the Republican nomination . You may want to check your predictions at the door from here on out. Next up Crooked Skank Hillary. As of right now the only laughing -stocks are you and your friends.

Yep. It may be too early for gloating but it's in the wheelhouse.

I blame a lot of things for Donald Trump but media and TV isn't one of them.

Guy draws ratings. If Charles Manson were running for President and millions tuned in to watch him, the media would show it.

I get sick of repeating this, but the media does not shape American opinion. It is a mirror.
I'm not too worried about her, she keeps losing primaries to Bernie Sanders.

I'm sure the Democrats voting for Bernie are going to love him losing due to super delegates. ;)

We do things legitimately here in the GOP.

I just read this thread from the beginning.  Very enlightening.  So many people were so wrong.

Kudos to my boy Eminence.

Off the wall thought, what if Trump's VP would be Condoleeza Rice? Better chance at beating HC?
She was originally my first choice. But there has been no buzz about her at all. The prominent woman they are tossing around is the Hispanic female governor of New Mexico.

You believe she would run with a guy who believes that we should get out of NATO?
Of course this is politics. Hillary can be the clean energy candidate and wants to make the US the clean energy superpower and will put a lot of coal workers out of a job, then turns around and meets with coal workers and says she misspoke and wants their votes. Condi can be VP.

Yeah, keep making that argument that Bernie is a better candidate than Trump.  Makes complete sense.  Dare I say, ironic?   :lmao:
More knowledgeable, experienced, better favorability among key demographics...so, yes, I'll keep making that logical argument that is supported by facts.  You can keep glomming on to bad card trader schtick.

New data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration also highlighted another potential contradiction: Virtually every state suing to block the Clean Power Plan has itself shifted toward burning less coal to generate the electricity its residents need since the year 2007 - in some cases by very large amounts.

In other words, one key transition that the plan will help bring about - less coal burning - is already happening in these states anyway, even though the plan itself is in legal limbo and has not yet come into effect.

So what can we make of these data, showing a clear decline in coal use among states that are opposing a plan to hasten a shift to cleaner U.S. electricity - especially in key regions, such as the Southeast?

"It's a magnification of a trend that's been going on for several years. Quite simply, coal is dying," Nathan Richardson, a professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law who focuses on environmental and energy law, said of the data detailing the drop in coal usage by state. "It might take 30 years or 40 years, but [coal's time] as a big driver of electricity in this country is over."
