I cared about Miley Cyrus, nearly a decade ago now, because at the time she was a HUGE element of my daughter's culture. Between the ages of 6-10, my daughter was nearly owned by Disney (which is not unusual BTW). So yeah that made a difference to me.You cared about Miley Cyrus's influence on your daughter, and you don't care about this absolute toxic waste dump of a human being a part of our culture? I don't care if he stays rich. Let him sit on securities and live comfortably. But this guy was a giant stain on our culture before he ever decided to run for President.
Haven't really seen much of Colbert, Myers, and Noah.Rank these in terms of their Trump coverage (volume does not matter, quality is #1 consideration):

Can you also beat up Pacquiao?I'm 44 years old, never been married, and I have no doubt in my mind I have more pelts on my wall than The Donald.
Trump did have a reputation as a womanizer in the late 80s/early 90s. Of course, we now know that reputation was spread by his PR rep, "John Barron" who was actually Trump himself. Which is just another great example of how this election is gloriously deranged because everyone heard that story, shrugged, and went on with the election. He's not a womanizer, which implies he has some ability to charm woman. He sexually assaults women and pays for prostitutes, who usually keep their mouth shut.
Trump=Pacquiao? Can you also beat up Pacquiao?
I've read quite a bit about how Hillary is a very cautious campaigner, and while it does look like the election is a done deal at this point, there is a greater than typical amount of uncertainty due to the much greater than typical support for 3rd party candidates. Holding something in reserve in case of something big from Wikileaks (or wherever) might be the appealing play given the above. Plus, I wonder just how much down-ballot effect further Trump bombshells can realistically have -- probably less than the potential effect at the top of the ballot if they do have him on tape using the "n" word or similar. If they have additional material that could increase the chance of an even greater rout than already seems destined, I doubt if they hold it back. A national win of 8+ points could reportedly lead to the kind of wave election that puts even the house in play (as you noted earlier).
Definitely my top 3.Haven't really seen much of Colbert, Myers, and Noah.
John Oliver and Samantha Bee kind of do the same thing both great. Bee focused a bit more on comedy.
Bill Maher at least has a token conservative guest conversations is always good.
Probably put Oliver and Maher at one then Bee. Can't really grade the others.
For the most part, in my experience, the guy that brags a ton about how much action he gets is usually compensating for the fact that he doesn't do so well. And yeah, regarding his wives, the true studs (Derek Jeter, Justin Timberlake, etc) are nailing the A list talent, not having to offer unknown foreign models a "stay in the country free" card to get some.My pet peeve is about his reputation as a womanizer.
Where's the proof? Where's the photos from the 80's with Trump and beautiful famous eligible women? Where's the tell-alls from runway models and heiresses talking about Trump's moves as a single man-about-town? I know more women that Scott Baio has actually had sex with than this clown.
Nah, instead it was all Trump calling the paparazzi on himself, and talking in vague terms about all the women he bagged back in the day. We do have famous women talking about Trump, but only to laughingly talk about how Trump embarrassed himself making a move on them, or straight up lied about getting with them.
Those 3 wives he has had, are not the wives of a billionaire developer Master of the Universe. They are the 3 wives of an eccentric owner of a construction empire from Oklahoma.

This was during his marriage to Maples too. And, of course, he was having an affair with Melania during this time too.“He'd wander off with a couple girls. I saw him. He was getting laid like crazy," the photographer said. "Trump was at the heart of it. He loved the attention and in private, he was a total f---ing beast.”

On Wednesday — just 13 days till the election — Trump is leaving the campaign trail to promote the grand opening of his Washington, DC hotel
Interesting. Now that I think about it, the Janet Jackson song inspired the name of a tag-team champion who actively tried to be deplorable. Can I just complain about women trying to coopt the nasty comment by using the Janet Jackson song? By all means, own the word. And yes, that song is great. But the song is about nasty BOYS who make sexist comments. If you want a song about nasty girls, may I suggest the MaryJane Girls?

As soon as the pretend audit is completed... oh that's right, it will be a moot point.''He'll be worth 10x what he's currently worth''
How much is that exactly?
ironically the people that are among his most ardent supporters, white non college educated, won't be able to afford to stay in his hotels and people like me who can afford it wouldn't give him $1 of my money. How long until Trump Hotels go under? Gotta think it's going to be pretty difficult for him to raise capital with his name attached.
Yup. If he had any brains at all, he'd be launching Trump Brand Cigarettes and price them a nickel above GPC's or Basics. Trump Beer, Trump Seat Covers, Trump Air Fresheners. Hell, he should try to replace Calvin peeing on all sorts of things bumper stickers too while he's at it. Know your fan base, Donald. Answered it myself:Did the Republicans ever call him out for "John Barron" during the primaries?
https://newrepublic.com/article/133507/wackiest-donald-trump-conspiracy-theory-yet
Before he dropped out of the race, Ted Cruz predicted this would happen. He attributed it to a liberal conspiracy: The media would sit on their most explosive Trump exposés until he’d won the nomination thanks to the invaluable free airtime they’d given him—and then destroy him with a series of damning revelations they’d been waiting to unleash.
Cruz’s suspicions gained a patina of plausibility this past week when The Washington Post resurfaced evidence that, until two decades ago, Trump would bizarrely call reporters posing as one of two fictional publicists (John Miller or John Barron) and brag about his own business and romantic conquests, real and imagined.
Among other things, we learned from the tapes that Republicans have nominated an egomaniac with an Andy Kaufmanesque repertoire and his very own Tony Clifton-style alter egos. But did the media actually hold this story intentionally, to lull Republican voters into nominating Trump before lowering the boom?
If the pace of damning Trump revelations increases, as I suspect it will, and if these revelations prove stickier than past ones—also a good bet—it will be a perfectly predictable consequence of the way the GOP responded to the Trump threat from the outset. Political reporters have done a pretty good job unearthing the unflattering details of Trump’s past, but they can only do so much on their own. If the media could document everything untoward every candidate had ever done, campaigns and advocacy groups wouldn’t employ opposition researchers. But there’s a reason they do: In general, campaigns outgun and outpace the press at investigating rival candidates (particularly with respect to archival information that can’t be found online, and that requires expertise to obtain and decipher). They have more resources, no daily print deadlines, and no need to worry about impartiality.
Republican campaigns and anti-Trump activists did an absolutely abysmal job sifting through his dirty laundry between June 2015 and today.
For a variety of reasons, the other Republican campaigns and anti-Trump activists did an absolutely abysmal job sifting through his dirty laundry between June 2015 and today. Bad researchers might’ve been part of the problem, but for too long most Republicans mistakenly assumed Trump would collapse on his own—and why bother investigating someone who was sure to implode? They were also inhibited from attacking his wealth (or lack thereof), his tax avoidance, and his barking-mad tax reform plan, because that would contradict fundamental conservative dogma: that taxes are terrible, that they can’t be cut enough, and that the wealthy are wise to pay as little as possible.
Most Republicans were loath to attack Trump in any meaningful way at all, until it was too late, because they didn’t want to alienate the frontrunner and his millions of supporters. Nobody was more guilty of using kid gloves than Cruz, who cynically brown-nosed Trump until the race finally winnowed and pitted the two of them against one another.

At Trump's rallies across the country—not just in Florida, where the effect may be especially pronounced—it is common to find an abundance of the superannuated. In fact, senior citizens are his strongest demographic. In polls, voters over 65 tend to be the only age group he wins: In surveys conducted for The Atlantic by the Public Religion Research Institute, for example, Hillary Clinton led Trump in every age group under 65, but he beat her by a slight margin with those 65 or older.
In the primaries, too, Trump supporters were older, on average, than those of other Republican candidates. Despite the stereotype of the Trump supporter as a prime-aged working man, Trump's campaign has actually been fueled primarily by support from the elderly.
I was under impression he would win the EC with only white males. When the GOP conducts its autopsy this year, it will have to acknowledge that it has an aging problem. Specifically, people born before 1951 are the only age group supporting Trump over Hilary. These are the people who think it's all turning to crap (we have some on this board, too) and they're not gonna be around for many more elections.
Perhaps they're waiting until late next week for the coup d'grace, not giving any other Republicans a chance to disavow him and his campaign. Let them all go down with the sinking Republican brand. If there's video out there of him throwing around the "N word" as some have speculated, I'd love to see that come out. At that point anyone still voting for him belongs in the basket, and I'd love to see the Republicans still supporting him (and most still do) try to squirm their way out of that one. Not that him admitting on tape that he sexually assaults women wasn't already enough, but there would be no "but Bill Clinton..." after something like that.
Wouldn't have mattered. It's the kind of thing that only makes his numbers go up among GOP primary voters. They have been trained to regard the media with active hostility, to the point that any negative coverage actually improves their opinion of a candidate.Did the Republicans ever call him out for "John Barron" during the primaries?
Yeah, he's a genius. Instead of a brand that sells multimillion-dollar properties, he'll have the third of the country in the market for a used mobile home, a shotgun, or a 12 pack of PBR.Again, for all you simpletons who don't understand...
Trump isn't ruining his brand through this election. He's strengthened it 100x over. A third of America is about to vote for him to be the leader of the free world...tens of millions of people love him. Who cares about the other 2/3 that don't...they never liked him to begin with.
He'll be worth 10x what he's currently worth in the years following the election. 1/3 of America is a heck of a lot of ties, classes, books, etc. being sold.
For those that don't understand this (as you can see in the posts above), that's probably why you're not successful. Happy to help.
But did the media actually hold this story intentionally, to lull Republican voters into nominating Trump before lowering the boom?
Agreed. The Republican base is so far gone off into the alt-right stratosphere that it wouldn't have mattered at all. As soon as they heard "brown people = bad" they were with him until the bitter end.I wonder if it would have mattered in the primary. I think the Breitbart/Infowars Frankenstein monster would have still nominated Trump.
WTF? you don't like bubbles?what do trump supporters think that they will get him and it will be hey lets listen to lawrence welk dance a couple polkas and say racist things like the good old days man that is an america i do not want to go back to what a bunch of dopes lawrence welk sucked and i do not like bubbles take that to the bank brohans
On the stump, Obama now regularly links Trump’s candidacy, and the bind he’s created for down-ballot Republicans, to a greater theory about the way the right has practiced politics throughout his presidency.
“For years,” Obama said in Las Vegas, “Republican politicians and the far-right media outlets have pumped up all kinds of crazy stuff about me, about Hillary, about Harry [Reid]. They said I wasn’t born here. They said climate change is a hoax. They said that I was going to take everybody’s guns away.”
Obama went on:
[T]here are a lot of politicians who knew better. There are a lot of senators who knew better. But they went along with these stories because they figured, you know what, this will help rile up the base, it will give us an excuse to obstruct what we’re trying to do, we won’t be able to appoint judges, we’ll gum up the works, we’ll create gridlock, it will give us a political advantage. So they just stood by and said nothing. And their base began to actually believe this crazy stuff.
So Donald Trump did not start this. Donald Trump didn’t start it. He just did what he always did, which is slap his name on it, take credit for it, and promote it. That’s what he does. And so now when suddenly it’s not working, and people are saying, wow, this guy is kind of out of line, all of a sudden, these Republican politicians who were okay with all this crazy stuff up to a point, suddenly they’re all walking away. “Oh, this is too much.” … Well, what took you so long? What the heck?

Fixed. Not a chance Michelle Obama ever runs for office. Who needs it? She could be the nextOprahHillary.
Um, they are predominately white, while Hillary supporters have a higher percentage of minorities.HTF do Trump supporters have such a higher median income than Hillary supporters?
That really is a curious thing but I think the problem is that they can't cast aside the strategy the party has been pursuing since Nixon, at least not in a relatively short period of time. The deplorables should be scattered and ineffectual but the GOP has been nurturing them and whispering sweet nothings in their ears since St. Ron was in office. And now they own the primaries. They didn't pay attention to the results of the 2012 autopsy. Why should this be any different?
