If Crooked Hillary Clinton can't close the deal on Crazy Bernie, how is she going to take on China, Russia, ISIS and all of the others?
Actually, Donald, for all intents and purposes, she has closed the deal. Statistically, it is still possible for Sanders to end up with more votes and delegates, but that is extremely unlikely.

Holy #### - BOMBSHELL on Megan Kelly just now!!

The lady who interviewed Trump when he was pretending to be publicist John Miller was on.  She says that there were only 2 tapes of that recording, one that she had and one that Trump had.  AND SHE LOST HER TAPE 25 YEARS AGO!  Yup, she says that it was Trump who leaked the tape to the Washinton Post.   :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Megan just about fell off her chair laughing.

She inferred that when she was in NBCs national news as well.

Maybe it was his butler that did it - because it is always the butler that did it

Hey saints. Do you remember the most important thing in that article that I sent you?   The more complicated and obfuscated it is the more Donald likes it. :)

And on MSNBC the Trump rep is making a mockery of them. Makes them look desperate and oops the butler story in gone, just like that.

The liberal media is so much better at vetting candidates. This is just the beginning.

Yeah man, it's an absolutely brilliant strategy. Now in the future when he starts to fully walk back his stances on the Muslim ban and immigration he can just blame his alter ego, John Miller. It wasn't Donald Trump pandering to all the bigots, just John Miller going off on one of his crazy tangents again.

Your candidate is bat #### crazy but trust me, I know all of his brainwashed followers have no problem spinning what appears to be blatant mental illness.

Wow Keith Olbermann still has a television show somewhere? That is amazing. It is also amazing that a guy I haven't heard from in a decade thinks the future president is afraid of him. What is next is Rush Limbaugh going to make a comeback on Monday Night Football?
What about Trump has indicated that he's anything other than a coward?

Note, I'm not talking about the legitimacy of these claims here but....

On the same day there are maybe 3-4 reports of Clinton wrongdoing which should have been front and center in the news feeds and talking heads shows heading into the weekend, instead of featuring that Donald handed the WaPo a cudgel consisting of a live tape of him doing this stupid, narcissistic, genuinely weird thing which they can drop on him at *any time, and then when they drop it on a day that should have been a bad day for Hillary, he then proceeds to ***lie about it in a stunningly stupid fashion at the beginning of the day, then runs away from questions about it at the end of the day, and then for the rest of the weekend the press will be talking about what a lying tool Donald is instead of the Clintons' bad behavior. And this is a tape which can be featured all summer and fall to show what a lying nut job he is whenever the press or his opponent wants to bring it up. And this is a good strategy. Ok.

Yes in Trump Solo, I do remember it, and if true that's what's happening here the idea of a president doing a strategy of lying about his lying to screw with the press and the people is pretty damn unappealing to me.

In which Trump's business ethics is questioned

What small-businesses owners might wish to know about Mr Trump

May 14th 2016 | From the print edition

“HE ALMOST bankrupted us,” says the retired owner of a construction business on the east coast. Thirty years ago he ran a small business with around ten employees, which was hired by Donald Trump to work on an 11-month project at his Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City. It was the biggest contract, by far, that the business had ever had. The builders worked as they had never done before to complete the job on time. As soon as they finished, Mr Trump stopped paying. He owed around $200,000 of a bill totalling about $700,000, a huge sum for a small company.

What followed was a nearly year-long battle to extract the money it was owed. Lawyers advised the company that Mr Trump would procrastinate with expensive litigation, as he had done many times before. Other contractors relayed their experiences with the “Trump discount”, the billionaire’s habit of rarely paying the full sum he owed. As the “Trump discount” made the rounds in the industry, wily contractors quoted a higher price at the outset to avoid suffering any losses. Then, one day in 1988, the phone rang at 9.30am. A sweet-voiced special assistant of Mr Trump’s announced she had a cheque for the builders which, she claimed, had been lying on her desk for a year. “We only got paid because of Merv Griffin,” says the retired contractor. In a surprising swoop, Mr Griffin, an entertainment-business tycoon, had bought the company that owned the Taj Mahal.

Owners of small businesses are among Mr Trump’s most dedicated supporters. They believe his biggest selling point is his business acumen. He is a consummate dealmaker, they say, and has made heaps of money, maybe as much as $10 billion. They also like his proposal to slash the corporate income-tax rate from 35% to 15%. A poll earlier this year by Manta, an online directory for small businesses, of 2,527 owners of small companies who were planning to vote in the primaries, found that 60% favoured Mr Trump as the Republican candidate.

Bryant Simon of Temple University, who wrote a history of Atlantic City, marvels at how the author of “The Art of the Deal” sells his failure there as a great success. Mr Trump paid too much to finance the Taj with junk bonds; he also overpaid for the casino’s interior, whose mirrors and chandeliers made the palace of Versailles look unadorned. Even though the Taj was the highest-earning casino in America for a while it could not cover its debt.

Even more impressive business accomplishments do not readily translate into success in the White House. Presidents who cut their teeth in business are among the least successful and least popular of the 43, according to the Siena College Research Institute (SRI), which ranks presidents in 20 areas such as integrity, intelligence, willingness to take risks and leadership ability. Harry Truman is the only president with business experience who ranks highly, says Don Levy, director of the SRI. (Truman, a former haberdasher, ranks ninth.) Warren Harding, a newspaper publisher, comes bottom, at 43. Calvin Coolidge, a corporate lawyer, ranks a lowly 29th and Herbert Hoover, who had a career in the mining industry, comes in at 36.

Those businessmen who became presidents eased into politics slowly. After making money in the oil business, George H.W. Bush served for years in Congress, as ambassador to the UN and as boss of the CIA. His son, George W., also started out in the oil business and then, after a false start when he lost a House race, was elected governor of Texas at the first attempt.

Some companies are considering skipping the Republican convention in Cleveland. Presented with a choice of Trump v Clinton, the owner of the construction business that worked on the Taj would set aside his dislike of Mrs Clinton and vote for her. The Clinton campaign can look forward to plenty more stories like this from those who have worked with Mr Trump during his freewheeling career.

That tape and the ensuing lies would be an automatic disqualifier for any other candidate.

She didn't say there were two tapes, she said there were two people in the conversation and that she had recorded it. No evidence that Trump had done so as well. She said she lost the tape and that is the reason she couldn't have given it to the WaPo. Someone else could have easily had the tape and turned it over. She claims no one could have stolen it which I suppose is true if she lost it.

What inevitably happens when Donald says or does something really foolish or awful is the explanation is trotted out that either 1. he was just joking or trolling, or 2. he meant to do it, or both. Over and over again.

Reporters say they suspected a Donald Trump alter-ego back in 1985

...On Friday, the Washington Post reported what sports writers covering the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League discovered in 1985 — that Trump, who owned the Generals at the time, often posed as someone else in order to praise himself or to say something he could later deny.

Trump’s apparent ghost spokesman sometimes spelled his name “Barron” — Trump named his youngest son Barron and reportedly admired hotel magnate Barron Hilton — and sometimes Baron. He also used the name John Miller, according to the Washington Post.

After that phone call from 1985, I called Trump’s secretary and was told that John Barron was not on any of the company’s organizational charts but was Trump’s right-hand man. You could almost hear the wink in her voice.

Trump at one point reportedly acknowledged posing as someone else when he didn’t want to be quoted directly. ...

Here is a column written about Trump and his alter ego by Record sports columnist Vinny DiTrani that was published on Sunday, June 2, 1985:

AND DOES HE CHANGE IN A TELEPHONE BOOTH?

Have you ever seen Donald Trump and John Baron together?

Occasionally, callers to Trump Tower, anxious to speak with the Generals owner about pro football, are connected with Baron, an alleged executive vice-president of the Trump organization. It was Baron who a few weeks ago told United Press International that Trump thought it would be nice for the other United States Football League teams to chip in and pay Doug Flutie’s salary.

The next day Baron called UPI to say Trump was angered by the story.

Last week an out-of-town reporter, who had dealt with Trump in the past, was put onto a line with John Baron. After talking with Baron, he told friends: “The guy sounds just like Donald the same voice, the same mannerisms. During the conversation, he even broke in and said, `Let me ask you this? What do you think about that? “

The questioning of the questioner is one of Trump’s favorite moves.

The reporter called Trump Tower again the next day to check on the spelling of Baron’s name and his title in the organization. Eventually a secretary asked him, “What did Donald tell you yesterday? “

“I wasn’t speaking to Donald, I was speaking to John Baron,” was the reply, which may have been only half correct.

Baron never shows up at General games, something unusual for someone Trump trusts on matters concerning the football team. Further, the “J” in Donald J. Trump stands for “John,” and there’s no doubt that he qualifies as a modern-day “land baron. “ Callers to the Tower who ask for Baron usually are told he’s in a meeting or out of town, but there is no John Baron on the organizational chart.

- This little con job had been written about during Trump's primary campaign in an off hand way, and actually had been written about going back to the early/mid 80s.

But WaPo decided not to drop this little embarrassment as an actual lead story until Donald had secured the GOP nomination. Then Donald compounded the problem by lying about it once and running away from it another time. This is the kind of reservoir of oppo information that will be dropped over the summer and fall, the press will not be nearly as solicitous of Trump as they were during the primary, and Donald just gives a multiplier effect to stuff like this (which he has done elsewhere like with Lewnadowski) where he just outright denies something before he even takes a moment to think about it, then he spends weeks defending his stupid lie of a defense and his followers defend him in the process concocting whatever they have to to make it fit.

Not exactly.  Kelly asks, "So who else would have had a copy of the tape?"  And she answers, "Donald Trump".  4:42 of the video http://youtu.be/C2ReG7alYnQ

I think she was implying that Trump taped the conversation as well.  The whole thing is beyond hysterical.  If Trump leaked that tape it shows a level of evil genius that is off the charts.  He's playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers.

"Were you the only one with a copy of the tape?" "Yes." Then later she says Donald could have made a copy as well. There is no evidence that he did so. It wouldn't surprise me if he did, but that is not certain.

Yeah, not so much...

SAVANNAH GUTHRIE: The Post also says this is something you did rather routinely, that you would call reporters and plant stories and say either you were John Miller or John Barron, but in fact it was actually you on the phone. Is that something you did with any regularity?

TRUMP: No, and it was not me on the phone.

But that's not exactly what Trump said under oath in 1990. During testimony in a lawsuit that dealt with his employment of undocumented migrant workers from Poland on the Trump Tower project, the real estate mogul was asked if he had ever used the name "John Barron."

"I believe on occasion I used that name," Trump replied (though he would note he wasn't specifically asked whether he used the name with the press).

No idea what this means
Really?  It means the nut job Trump haters are extremely scared of what's happening in the polls and the momentum and are grasping at any nonsense they can get their hands on.  The only people that would ever care about this story are the people that already hate him.

You seem to have a very balanced, objective view on this.

The fake call acting like your own publicist is some crazy, funny, surreal stuff even by Trump standards

Like some weird Howard Stern bit.

It is top notch Trolling. People magazine writes some crap about how Donald is having relationship problems and he calls them up and tells them about all the chicks he is scoring. So funny.

The left is freaking out about how insane this is, while everyone who has ever made a crank call moves even further from the the PC police lefties.

Well if an ex-Sportscenter anchor says it, it must be true...

OH MY GOD. I made a crank call 25 years ago also. THANK YOU KEITH ALBERTAN for diagnosing my profound mental illness!
A SINGLE crank call 25 years ago? He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder along with pathological lying which is not a core feature of NPD. It has served him well in the business world.  It does not disqualify him from the presidency nor qualify him as a great presidential candidate. But a lot of people are really worried that he might do crazy things as president.

And you believe this. Same thing happened with the USFL. I can get Donald lying about lying about his lying somehow wrecks the party system and the republic and anarchistically speaking that is a good but please don't try to make sense of this particular episode. That is not going to go well.
