Aye! You got me, I was wrong. I appreciate you taking the time to look into something I said and respond with substance.

Thank you. Everybody take notes, this is how you debate / dispute the claims of others. Not resulting to petty insults.
You started this "debate" (it never was).. by apparently not taking the time to look into what you said to make sure it had substance (it didn't).

This isn't a good look on your part here.

By making the guy who started it look like a horse's rear end because he didn't know what he was talking about?

Secret Ledger in Ukraine shows millions in cash payments to Trump's Campaign manager Manafort.

If Trump thought the media was "unfair" before, wait until they get done with this story.

Handwritten ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Mr. Manafort from Mr. Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Investigators assert that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials.

Oof.

Nice. Just saw the Trump commercial with the clothing made in Bangladesh/China. They seem to be playing that a lot. Why won't Trump run ads? Keeping all the $$$?

It's weird. I live in a very Democratic city where the (D) candidate for Congress is a forgone conclusion. He runs ads.

I am tripling down on Trump quitting/never intending to get this far in the first place.
Why his taxes are not in line.  Not even a year's worth.  This was a lark.

Romney paid 14% in taxes in 2011.  Trump pays even less then that why he won't disclose.

Guy has been propped up by his daddies money his whole life and he does not pay taxes while flying private jets around the world.  What a country.

Universal healthcare is fine if we have a wealth country, we're a debtor nation. Until we change that, we can't be offering healthcare to everyone.

Especially with all these illegals flooding over the border. It just doesn't make any sense.
Never understood this kind of opinion on UHC. We have laws that state our ERs MUST treat anyone coming in asking for treatment. People without insurance know this. They never see a regular doctor because they have no insurance, preferring to try home remedies for every ailment. THus, they end up in the ER more often, and often much MUCH sicker than they would have been had they been properly cared for on a semi-regular basis. Since they couldn't afford insurance, and the ER is expensive, they never pay the bill. Hospital costs rise, and they pass that cost along to those who ARE paying. INsurance companies than pass that cost along to us. IE: WE are ALREADY PAYING FOR CARE FOR THE UNINSURED, but we are doing it in the most assinine and most expensive way possible. Meanwhile, the cycle of poverty for those who couldn't afford insurance is excaberated, since now they have collections and judgements they can never, and will never, pay.

We spend 18% of our GDP on health care. Nations with UHC average more like 10%. Whether or not you believe we should cover everyone is almost immaterial. Financially, it makes far more sense to simply cover everyone. Anyone stating otherwise is foolish.

A vote for Trump is a vote AGAINST America.

Yeah but 5 companies wouldn't rake in billions.  Plus we would have foreign doctors.

That's not why he won't release his tax returns. He'd have no problem explaining that he knows how to game the system and avoid paying taxes better than anyone, which is why he's the most qualified person to fix that system.

He won't release his returns because of the NAMBLA stuff.

His supporters can get on board with NAMBLA.  Trump is huge among the religious right.

He just needs to convince the independents.

He's under audit.

Got family members in this camp unfortunately. They are so wrapped up in the right wing bubble/ hatred of the left that they cannot see Trump with any semblance of objectivity.
Really think that most of the "smarter" Trump supporters are this way. Folks who aren't so much stupid as they are extremely closed (single?) minded for the right

Democrat style UHC will never happen because the GOP will never lose the House. I think eventually we're looking at a republican plan which will be a mix of massive tax deductions to cover the cost of insurance for the poor and cutting regulations and tort reform to lower the cost of care for everyone.

Trump is Andrew Jackson.  Jackson won by portraying himself as a champion of the common man against ALL of the elites in Washington.  The symbol of the donkey that the democrat party uses was originally created by elites in the press to describe Jackson as a "Jackass" and a crazy moron that was dangerous to the nation.  Jackson instead adopted it as a symbol of oppression by the elites and it has stuck all this time.

@SameSongNDance

I know you're about my age and are living at home, looking for a solution. The problem is that there are no jobs out there for us.

People are working harder for less money. Donald Trump will create jobs for us and Hilary Clinton won't. She sells all our jobs overseas. If you don't vote for Donald, Hilary Clinton will win, the job market won't recover, and you won't be able to find a good job.

Voting for Garry Johnson is the equivalent of throwing your vote away.
  Donald has been shipping all of his "manufacturing" jobs overseas for decades.

He speaks in hyperbole, he's really trying to bring manufacturing back to America.

No reason we shouldn't be able to export more with as many resources as we have.
Who the heck wants the leader of the free world to be constantly speaking in hyperbole? Who wants to be constantly wondering if he really means what he says?

Personally, I think he's a lying POS most of the time, but even if your far more generous description of hyperbole is fairer/more accurate, he would STILL be a man who should never be seriously considered for significant public office.

The problem with that email chain for me is we as the public does not have all the information nor will ever get it.
We sit here and try to judge her for Benghazi when 99% of the population will never fully understand the magnitude of any decision she made or what went in to it.
Its irresponsible to think you have all the info and same with the emails. While the Email chain clearly shows some misleading info, isnt this what all politicians do? Play politics? If we were to elect Bernie, wouldnt he put people in place he owed favors to? If Trump was elected, would he not appoint people who owned favors too him. This is political gamesmanship. Something we need to eliminate, sure, but something we never realistically will. When President leave office, do they all not pardon people as favors?

We focus on these things as if they are what really matter when Bush Jr. chose the former Halliburton CEO as his running mate and before Cheney left his position he worked contracts with many foreign rivals. So...

If he wasn't a presidential nominee this #### would be absolutely hilarious. How can the Republican party leaders still be backing this guy? It's astonishing. Stand up for your f'n country. I don't care how much you hate Hillary. Put your country first. What a pack of cowards.

Hopefully we'll be able took back at in a few months and be able to laugh at the absurdity of it all.

Just imagine the outrage if Michelle Obama was vacationing with Putin's girlfriend.  The O'Hannbeck crowd would be losing their stuff

This Manafort stuff is so crazy it might merit its own thread.
And this happened.

Secret Ledger in Ukraine Lists Cash for Donald Trump’s Campaign Chief

KIEV, Ukraine — On a leafy side street off Independence Square in Kiev is an office used for years by Donald J. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, when he consulted for Ukraine’s ruling political party. His furniture and personal items were still there as recently as May.

And Mr. Manafort’s presence remains elsewhere here in the capital, where government investigators examining secret records have found his name, as well as companies he sought business with, as they try to untangle a corrupt network they say was used to loot Ukrainian assets and influence elections during the administration of Mr. Manafort’s main client, former President Viktor F. Yanukovych.

In addition, criminal prosecutors are investigating a group of offshore shell companies that helped members of Mr. Yanukovych’s inner circle finance their lavish lifestyles, including a palatial presidential residence with a private zoo, golf course and tennis court. Among the hundreds of murky transactions these companies engaged in was an $18 million deal to sell Ukrainian cable television assets to a partnership put together by Mr. Manafort and a Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, a close ally of President Vladimir V. Putin.

...

- That is Russian money.

Again, resorting to ad hominem with no substance. You're a joke man.

Way to brag about a degree you probably don't have then bring no substance to the table.
Boy, talk about ad hominem.  Calling me a liar about my qualifications?  That's like calling me Donald Trump.  I can't think of a worse insult.  I'll tell you what, cashier boy, you like to bet.  How much do you want to put up on it?  I haven't seen my diploma or my college transcript for 30 year or so, but I can dig one of them up if you're going to pay enough. Put up or shut up, punk.

The Manafort #### would have the lynch mobs out.
Agreed, the crazies are convinced that Obama is a secret Muslim and hates America yet their choice has direct ties to Russia including Ivanka vacationing with Putin's girlfriend, Manafort doused with Russian underground money, Trump's reluctance to releasing his taxes which people are (seriously) speculating is because of ties to Russia and of course Trump's open public courtship with Putin    Add to that his battle with Kahn, his insult of McCain and the fact he makes all his crappy suits are made in China    There is nobody who seems to have less regard for America than Donald J Trump, yet OHannibeck and company let him skate

I can't imagine the outrage if this was the other way around

It is not "freedom of the press" when newspapers and others are allowed to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false!

Would love to hear one of the Trumpies address this one.

They won't, I know.

But I would love it.
