I can only compare what Hillary and Trump have said publicly regarding their proposed tax plans, etc.  I agree more with Trump on those.
The good thing aout what Trump says if that if you don't like what he says, you can wait around for him to take the other side, or declare he was just kidding around.

So, you don't think that getting rid of NAFTA and having a president that most other countries abhor and believe to be volatile wouldn't be more likely to cause a recession?
It may hurt initially but if getting better trade agreements can be done it would help long term.

Corporate and individual tax reform, repeal Obamacare,  resist raising minimum wage, not raising social security income tax.  Not to mention National security
Trumps tax plan will get more tax breaks to the wealthy. Clinton plans target the middle class much better.

Obamacare needs single payer not repealing.

Minimum wage needs top be a living wage. The state should not be subsiding Walmart workers because Walmart is not paying them enough. This is in fact another versin of corp welfare.

Social security - Trump told Ryan that he is in favor of  gutting Social Security like most Republicans

http://www.politicususa.com/2016/06/01/donald-trump-gutting-social-security-morally.html

National Security - Trump think more counties need nuclear weapons, including Saudi Arabia. Trumps also wants to weaken NATO and with his ties to Russia has sunk this ship before it left the dock.

You talking about Hillary or Trump?

Hillary ads here look like Trump's ads from 6 months ago.  Hillary ads here 6 months ago looked like Bernie ads.

Em, when are you posting the Ideological Test that we all have to take to be able to post in here?
Were you for the Iraq war? yesno

Were you for deposing Qaddafi? yesno

Are you in favor of increasing the minimum wage? yesno

Did Obama create ISIS? yesno

Is NATO good? yesno

Should Japan have nukes? yesno

can Muslims come in? yesno

If you answered "yesno" to all of the above, you have been extreme approved to post in this thread!

And there's the crux:  A Trump supporter can make a nice polite statement on what about his platform excites them, and it can be debunked in a millisecond Google search.  Trump being a joke is the only thing R's and D's can agree on in Washington.

There can be no serious discussion about this man, his candidacy, or his ''policies''.  Because there is nothing serious about any of them.

Wrong.  Anyone can find an article to support their side.  Doesn't change my opinion one bit.

And this is exactly why no one takes you Trumpkins seriously. When leading economists and national security experts, including plenty of those on the right, are calling Trump's ideas awful, you might want to do something outside of plugging your ears and covering your eyes.

I am not a "Trumpkin", whatever the hell that means.  Maybe you are the one covering your eyes as to the danger of what Hillary could do to this country?  I for one, think she is more of a threat than Trump.  This thread is obviously a gang bang for anti-Trump folks so I am done here.  Have fun!

Can you find us some articles from economists and career national security experts who support Trump's approach and think it would help the economy or make us more secure?
Is it not common sense that suspending Syrian refugees into the US would make it safer?  Look at what refugees have done in Europe lately.  That is a major concern to me.

This is nonsense.  She spent 8 years in the White House with a President who didn't #### things up, what makes you believe she will?

I don't like Hillary, guy. Granted, she's far preferable to Trump, but that's like saying something is preferable to getting herpes. I'd love to hear how Hillary is more dangerous to the country than a dude who believes in nuclear proliferation and defaulting on our national debt, though.

Crap, we're done with that shtick, aren't we? :kicksrock:

Agree to disagree, although Obama has been much better than I feared.  He has not been  good President.  Sure, the stock market has risen, but that was fueled by policy.  By the way, congress has the most impact on the stock market, not the President.   True jobs numbers are not good, when accounting for the folks who gave up looking for work.  Obamacare was horrible.

I don't think so, no.

I think there is a difference culturally between US and Europe.  We are a society built on immigration and multi-culturalism.  We have been accepting refugees for hundreds of years - it's who we are and what we do.

Europe has been a bunch of closed societies since, well, forever.  They are not very good at making immigrants feel welcome, and so the immigrants stay in their own little communities and never blend in.  They never join society as a whole.  Exception: England...that's a remnant of the British Empire, IMO.

Bottom line: We can accept and welcome muslims and not have nearly the issues France and Germany are having because we accept and embrace multi-culturism.  Sure - there will be the occasional shooting or whatever, but we have those now anyways.  I don't think bringing in Syrians would add more violence.

Do I personally think that's common sense?  No, I think that's short-sighted and shows a complete lack of understanding of both the detailed vetting process already in place for immigrants, and the potentially awful long-term ramifications of abandoning humanitarian efforts to protect the lives and well-being of non-extremist Muslims and openly discriminating against religions and/or nationalities at our borders.

But that wasn't my question.  You said you weren't persuaded by the articles from right-leaning economist and career national security experts opposing Trump and his policies because "anyone can find an article to support their side."  So I'm asking you for similar articles from respected economists and career national security experts supporting Trump and his economic/national security policies. Surely you can find many of them, since you said anyone could.

worst case for a Hillary presidency: she gets impeached.  We can live with that.

Worst case for a Trump presidency: WWIII.

impeachment > WWIII.

I hope you are correct but I would not risk it at this time.

I am so incredibly tired of this falsehood.

Baby boomers are retiring. Of course there's a lot of people leaving the workforce.

Unemployment is one of those stats that is perfectly valid right up until they start to look good for Obama. Then they're suddenly total BS and not a real representation of the job market.

The job market is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than it was in 2009-2010.

FACT.
