You guys saw that educated people overwhelmingly don't support Trump, while uneducated people overwhelmingly support him, right?

It's by far the dominant and most numerous faction in the party. And it was made possible by all of you "moderate" righties who spent years accepting the religious bigotry and semi-subtle racism because those same people also supported your failed supply-side economic theories. Well done. You're about to reap the whirlwind this November in the form of an entire generation of the most Liberal SC that the country has ever seen.

Well to be fair, I believe it's accepted that people who have college degrees have more education than those who don't.  Whether or not they're uneducated is another topic.

Nobody is more poorly educated as a whole than minorities and they overwhelmingly support  Clinton

The UK voters who voted to leave the EU were overwhelmingly less educated than the stay faction, they won though :shrug:

I hate both Trump and Hillary and wouldn't vote for either. As a whole, regardless of education, America is beyond stupid for letting these be our two candidates. The whole political party system is dumb as well, but that's another argument.

Democrats lead by 22 points (57%-35%) in leaned party identification among adults with post-graduate degrees. The Democrats’ edge is narrower among those with college degrees or some post-graduate experience (49%-42%), and those with less education (47%-39%). Source

College-educated white voters are overwhelmingly supporting Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential race, even though the Republican Party has carried the group in presidential races for several decades and Mitt Romney won the demographic in the 2012 race. So what does this really say? First, it says that the under-educated, i.e. those with less education are more likely to vote Democrat than Republican. Second it says that those with higher degrees (and therefore likely to be in the academic ivory tower idealist world) tend to vote for Democrats. It also says that College-educated white voters traditionally support the Republicans, this election being an anomaly for obvious reasons.
Now if you argue that the fundies have an undue influence over Republican politics, I'd tell you that up until the Tea Party (which was about 5 years after I stopped being actively involved in Republican politics), the pro-business wing of the party pretty much ignored the fundies because frankly, the fundies had nowhere else to go. However, when a vast majority of Republicans joined the Tea Party revolt, things changed.

either way, so much for your theory being anywhere close to reality.

Which one was that?  The one where I went into the Trump supporters thread and wondered if it bothered you guys to see the data that says that you have only uneducated people on your side in supporting Trump?

I do think Bueno had a nice riposte but this whirlwind comment is true. I don't know how liberal this court will or could be but its true as far as this being the effect. Battles were won, a culture war was lost.

None of that is in any way relevant to my point. If you don't think that the right has in general gone off of the deep end the last eight years, turning off tons of independents and anyone with even moderate critical thinking skills, then you're as bad as the Trumpkins.

 
Trump called Clinton a bigot. 

He is like a second grader. I really think he is mentally incapable. He may need hospitalized against his will.

Your point was that the under-educated and bigoted are by far the dominant and most numerous faction in the party. They are not. They are more dominant in the other party.

You're bad at this. The number of uneducated Democrats is absolutely irrelevant to the ratio of educated : uneducated Republicans. And the fact that Donald effing Trump won your nomination is pretty overwhelming evidence as to who is running the show.

Honestly just want to say that, generally speaking, smart and educated folks don't support Trump.  That has to be difficult to process for you guys.
