I really wish the Dems would start pounding the whole Supreme Court nominee kerfuffle. Haven't heard a peep on a national nor local level. Pisses me off to not hear anything about this. Republicans are not getting my vote this election cycle for this lone issue.

Let's be honest though they were not getting your vote anyways

Well, considering eli, knowledge and, well, you, are all new aliases here...i think i will use that word as it is quite applicable.
Speaking of aliases, look who I noticed among the recently browsing:

Did Em get suspended again and I missed it, or does he just need some more likes on his posts?

It's been stated around these boards many times that I voted for Scott Walker three times, I voted for Romney in 12, I was for Kasich in the primary season (although he has done some odd things recently) so to say I was never voting "R" is incorrect.

Ding freaking ding.

They $h!t on the Constitution when it suited them.

Trump has done and said so many questionable things that it's almost like the dems are paralyzed about how best to attack him:

shady business dealings, bankruptcy, Trump U, racist comments, campaign turnover, etc, etc

It feels like the dems are either letting him off the hook or holding back for the stretch run.

I hate to say this, but Trump is going to get elected as President.

He has done and said so many crazy things that there is no conventional attack that will defeat him. Hilary and the Democrats will continue to appeal to peoples logic and common sense, but that is a lost battle. Anyone who cant see how unreasonable a candidate Trump is, won't get swayed now. In fact the opposite will be true. Clinton will be treated as a normal candidate and any mis step will be punished. Trump could take a dump on stage in the first debate and his supporters will defend it as an act of defiance against the establishment.

This petty and insecure man will now be the most powerful man on earth, for now. It wont make up for the fact that his father didnt love him enough or he is going bald or he has tiny hands.

He can't handle going bald. How is he going to handle the actual pressure of a very stressful job. Insulting his way through congress and international diplomacy wont solve diddly and cause untold damage.

Better brush up on mandarin and cantonese. As soon as the Chinese want to run the world, they will be able to.

Unless the democrats figure out a way to appeal to the white lower to middle class and get them to vote for Hilary then Trump will win.

clicked link it starts off by saying Trump doesn't fit the definition of being insane. Guess there is nothing else to see here? Ten bucks you didn't click my link though because your head is in the ground.
Maybe you should have finished reading it. Being mentally ill and the legal definition of insane aren't the same thing, but way to move the goalposts.

Unless Hillary can get massive turnout from minorities, the young educated, and college degreed women, I think you're right.

It's weird that the least educated, least productive members of our society will be deciding the presidency.

Just imagine if it was Hillary cozying up to Putin. The right wing would be calling for her public hanging right about now.
Clinton and her foundation, as well as campaign manager Posesta accepted millions from Putin.  It's a glass house...

Was it weird in 2012, here is some voting numbers from 2012:

  • Public Housing - 81% D vs 12% R
  • Medicaid - 74% D vs 16% R
  • Food Stamps - 67% D vs 20% R
  • Unemployment Compensation - 64% D vs 25% R
  • Welfare/Public Assistance - 63% D vs 22% R

What total % of the population do the above represent?  Trump has to have flipped these numbers plus gotten all the on-college whites.  As I said, the least intelligent and productive of our society will decide this election.

NYers often say "this guy"

Trump was doing a visual of a person flustered so it isn't surprising a NYer said you got to see this guy before doing a flustered person.

You really want me to believe that Trump made fun of a disabled person for being disabled while running for President? That in itself isn't believable.

Then you want me to believe that Trump made fun of people that were flustered the same exact way prior to this guy, but somehow this time when he does it it means he is making fun of the guy for being disabled?

Not buying it.

Don't hurt yourself doing all of these mental gymnastics.

You understand we live in a domcratic society . You don't need a IQ test to vote or reproduce.

So the ###### trump is calling for an American, Christian theocracy? He's done and so are his supporters, believe what you want.

I think you guys are being TOO negative.

Unlike Saints I am far from certain of a Clinton victory, but the odds are still in her favor. There's a reason 538 has it 69-31. Trump has to win too many battleground states; Hillary only has to win a few.

If I had to guess, right now will represent the high water mark of the Trump campaign; this will be as high as he gets. Over the next month Hillary will increase her lead and by voting day it will be close to where we were a few weeks ago. But that's just a guess.

True, but in most elections really stupid or uninformed people don't vote in numbers large enough to influence the outcome. This time around we have a populist running so it could happen, unfortunately.

Has to be the answer.

He may continue to do ok in the polls, but one of Trump's problems is that he doesn't think he has to do anything to get those poll responders off their asses into the voting booth.

Meanwhile one Hillary voter on the couch even if they dislike her is > to one Trump rally goer because ads, local campaign offices, community organizations, party offices, phone banks and friendly media surrogates will drive them there.

I've brought this up before, but the counter to this is that the true Trump believers are the most energized part of the electorate.

And Hillary / the Clintons on the other side only exacerbate this. And Hillary calling out Trump supporters as bigots etc. only motivates them more. Dumb politics all around.

And Hillary has low voter enthusiasm, but artificially driving people to the polls counts more than passively relying on people to drive themselves - it wins every single time.

I've lived around machine politics vs dissatisfaction with crappy government my whole life. People are aggravated at corruption and wasteful, incompetent governance, and guess what happens on Election Day. The team with the organization wins.

By the way telling people the election is fixed and asking them to show up for you are at odds with each other. If you already know the result there's no point to showing up.

Woman and latinos are equally energized.
Not sure I've seen signs of this.

Even if you're right, where is Latino energy going to make a difference electorally? We already know which way all the states on Mexican border are going to go. Same for Colorado. So maybe Nevada?

Of course there's also Florida. I just don't know that the immigration stuff is as motivating to Cubans and Puerto Ricans as it is to Mexicans. Cubans are legal the second their foot touches the sand and Puerto Ricans are obviously born Americans.
